That\'s a pretty short set 2, more like an encore 1... Did any audio survive the show or was it lost when the power went out like used to happed to vallo? This reminds me of the powder hollow barn shows.

Drum solo during a power outage=coming through in the clutch.

This sort of thing builds a buzz.

Not sure how big the crowd was but I spoke to a few friends before the show and they were on there way so at least 4 that I know of. I would hope they weren\'t the only ones though. Looks like a sick 2 sets, Taboot\'s becoming a regular for Phoenix.

What\'s up!  I was at this show and it was fuckin awesome.  The 2nd set was pretty long, the Buquebus was epic and some of the other jams were super extended.  The crowd was good, I would say close to packed at one point.  They could have crammed in a few more but the energy level was awesome and tons of people were crowded up against the stage dancing.  And it was not just us .info geeks - there were new fans and hot women and all that.

I missed part of the first set because I hiked into and out of the Grand Canyon that same day.  I finished at 7:00 and drove straight to Phoenix to see the show.  With the adrenaline and a few shots of jack I didn\'t even feel tired. See you guys in Flagstaff!

yesterday was pretty crazy to say the least. late second set the bartender hooked me up with a pint of captain with just a splash of coke. i probably should have said no thanks but i dont like to turn down free stuff.

it was a pretty good show though. it was great to hear intension and surreal radio again. during first set the band was just getting warmed up and during a ser great big jam the power went out. adrian went straight into the drum solo and when the power eventually came back the band picked right up where they were in the jam before the power went out.  the whole second set was the highlight of the show. it was probably one of my least favorite shows of the tour, but it was still really good. crystal bay and SF were just awesome.

Great to meet Origen, gitchuone and some other PT folk there to see the band. Power outage was a perfect showcase in that small place for the awesome drumming of Adrian T.
2001 was sick as was the Puppetry jam. The crowd ate it up but the band was most def. not happy w/ the 1st set.
So what does The Breakfast do when they feel they performed subpar?
BLOW DOORS OFF THAT\'S WHAT!

The second set was really good and Jordan got MVP as far as I am concerned. He was just en fuego the whole set!!

Intension is awesome

Let\'s just say that we had a little fun on this tour!!!!!!

The two friends I invited from the Phoenix area were definitely owned.

Once again, there were some random dudes in the crowd singing along to most of the lyrics.

He passed out at Temple Bar before the band came on.  He insisted I take him to my car for a snooze.  I dragged him in from the car right before the band started, though he went right for the couch next to Wayne.  That was the night Tim sang ChrisFitzpatrick in substitution on Buquebus.

I left the voicemail right after the Tempe show.  He made it through the show in good shape then started puking around the area where the band was loading equipment into the van.

In summary, ChrisF was basically dunzo after every show.

"D\'oh"/"zoinks"/"yowza"

That was the point when I had begun to feel "owned" by the brownies.  The worst part was that I was sitting right alongside the jams when I went for the "beauty sleep".

Interstate 8 runs concurrent to the Mexican border and is at times only a few miles from the international boundary.  They are scoping for rampant drug and human trafficking.

I think the above statement should be changed to: "if you get pulled over, hope that the Irish Taper is not with you!";)

By the way, only 20 minutes prior to the stop, I saw an unattended border station as a warning and foreshadowed/warned my passenger that there may be drug-sniffing pooches ahead on the trip.

And this is coming from the guy that consistently picks a fight about every topic on .info.

By the way, I think the key words from above are "from what I was told", since you weren\'t on the scene.  As they say, "get a clue, newb".

Finally, since you have lived in SoCal for 35 years, I\'m sure you had knowledge of the checkpoints along Interstate 8 and probably could have provided a warning to those travelling along the route.

I\'m hoping this is the last time I have to post about a traffic stop in the Loft thread.

Unlikely to happen, as the border patrol would probably have bigger drug and human trafficking fish to fry than to alert cops in Phoenix, over 3 hours away.
Besides, the band had little connection to the traffic stop.

Even if the van has anything going through the checkpoint, they would be dunzo if the dogs are out.

The mistake was not tossing the shit as I saw the dogs 1,000 feet ahead, which wasn\'t my call.

I love how a guy who decides to drive everyone on tour and pay for the motels is somehow associated with someone else\'s possession.

thats true.

but for future reference, if someone you are with ever gets arrested for possession again, its not really a good idea to tell them you are both on tour with a rock band and then hand out contact info of your friends who also probably travelling with buds.

did you tell them they were formerly \'psychedelic breakfast?\'

but for future reference, if someone you are with ever gets arrested for possession again, its not really a good idea to tell them you are both on tour with a rock band and then hand out contact info of your friends who also probably travelling with buds.

:

Well, I was going to see a show and that\'s what I told them when asked where I was headed.  Why should I make up lame stories when I have nothing incriminating on myself?  I\'m sorry you had to go through all the shit, but it really is independent of me.  If anything, I probably helped the situation as I was mr. congeniality with the cops.  I think they actually had fun talking with me.

If the dogs are out, the van is pulled aside.  I knew the van had travelled through the area many hours before I got there.  No high alert is going to be issued for a tour van travelling through the southwest.
Even without the dogs, they would probably see Dobz\' fro and racially profile/search the poor sound dude.

I think this is really going to be my last comment on the subject.

did you tell them they were formerly \'psychedelic breakfast?\'

Perhaps if I had just one more hour on the bench.

Seriously though, I hope you never have to hear from law enforcement in the southwest again.  I have a strong feeling you\'ll be ok.

From what I was told you pretty much have no clue when to shut up

And this is coming from the guy that consistently picks a fight about every topic on .info.

By the way, I think the key words from above are "from what I was told", since you weren\'t on the scene.  As they say, "get a clue, newb".

Finally, since you have lived in SoCal for 35 years, I\'m sure you had knowledge of the checkpoints along Interstate 8 and probably could have provided a warning to those travelling along the route.

I\'m hoping this is the last time I have to post about a traffic stop in the Loft thread.
?

Yeah well I was told straight from the guy that got busted AND I have not even begun to ask why you would claim nothing was yours it is all the passengers etc.

You do not offer info to cops that will either incriminate you or your FRIEND.

As for the checkpoints You have no clue about the animosity between SoCal and AZ. I NEVER go to AZ w/o really fuckin\' good reason Fuckin\' Zonies suck! So I had no idea abt the checkpoints.

I love how a guy who decides to drive everyone on tour and pay for the motels is somehow associated with someone else\'s possession.

Fuck you Al I was totally wondering when you would throw that back in one of our faces.

FACT: Every single one of us tried to give you money for the hotels. You refused to accept any cash. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

So do not even try and play that game. We all really appreciated it but this is BS.

Oh and also I believe I rode w/ Gia up and back and drove my own damn car to AZ. So you can take your self rightousness and stick it where the sun does not shine!
