not to brag, but i have just paid off my car, gotten the dog up to date (teeth cleaning, resQ microchip, shots, etc) and as of this friday\'s paycheck, i will be able to pay off my remaining credit card debt. starting monday, i will be debt-free!!!! (well, regular bills - cable, cell phone, internet, etc - but nothing i can\'t actually afford to pay anymore!!!)
we should have another one of these wedding things!!!....

Congrats. That is awesome.
I\'m in the other boat. I have no debt, but I cannot get a loan because I always pay in cash. No credit History = No Loans. Sucks

i was there, 28 and no credit history (no phone/cable/etc bills, even... i was non-existent to most places). then, in 6 short years, got a credit card, maxed it out, became unable to pay the minimum balance and now have crappy credit....
but, unbelieveably, you\'re right. crappy credit is somehow better than none at all. back in the day, sears wouldn\'t even give me a card since i had no history. i had to sign up for a college-freshman card (i was taking classes at the local community college and somekid half my age was walking around with a clip board... i saw my oppoortunity....) with a rate of 28% or something ridiculous like that, and since initially the payments were so low, that i was always paying it off. result - increased limits. result - increased spending. result - me not answering my phone 90% of the time for the past 4 years....

That must feel wonderful. Debt sucks.
Way to go!

u gotta love it when folks start stories with ,"i dont wanna brag" and then continue to brag the whole story..
its almost like, "i dont wanna sound conceited" and then carry on about how good lookin they are and how many hot chicks they banged.

(and, i just got my tutoring paycheck for may. wasn\'t much, but they included a bit of a wedding bonus. again, not much, but the thought alone was awesome!!)
next up, do i get my current amp fixed up (loose connections, etc) or do i actually need that fender reverb deluxe that keeps eyeing me at the guitar store???

Now that you\'ve practiced and know how the system works, it\'s time to really get yourself in deep. Buy a place to live and get yourself into 30 years worth of debt. Nothing gets the nerves sizzlin\' like a debt that you can\'t possibly pay off anytime soon.

Yeah, I wish I could say that my place feels as large as my monthly payment. But it doesn\'t.
