anyone else watching this besides me and pitchie?

it\'s on Mondays at 10pm on Showtime. just debuted last week, so it\'s only 2 episodes. hop on now.

i think it\'s got a lot of potential. the characters are very likable, it\'s got Kevin Nealon, and the brilliant opening sequence alone is enough to keep you watching. the kid (Shane Botwin, played by Alexander Gould, who played Nemo in Finding Nemo) is very smart and hilarious..

the first couple of episodes seem to have moved pretty fast, but again, i\'m liking this show so far, and definitely recommend it. check it out.

Get out! Thanks Dave. So being a DVD moron, if I download can I just play it on the computer. I don\'t have a DVD burner.

PS: Check the map on calendar for Puppethouse-Saturday before everyone shows up at Josh\'s!

The concept sounds tacky, though I\'m sure I would be getting hooked into it if I had cable (or expanded cable that includes Showtime).  I\'m glad there are still shows in production outside of the reality television category.  I\'m sure the show would be more likely if the mom was a pot smoker, rather than some unlikely dealer (though I do know networks of successful middle-aged people that come together for pot).

I\'m sure the mom lives in another perfect neighborhood like in all the tv shows, where middle class families supposedly live in beautiful and leafy upper middle class neighborhoods.  One aspect of tv and movies I can\'t stand these days is the unrealistic nature of the characters.  Everyone has a particular look/physique and lives in a perfect house.  The characters are so unrealistic and scripted that I can\'t seem to relate to them as well as I could connect with characters from older tv and movies.

while they do have a pretty nice house, the opening sequence (which i called \'brilliant\' before) kind of backs up what you\'re saying, al.. in a nutshell, it depicts how everyone is exactly the same - no variety at all. everyone\'s house looks exactly the same, they all drive the same SUV, leave for work at the same time every morning, walk out of starbucks with their latte in one hand and cell phone in the other, all wearing the same business suits, everyone jogging around their neighborhood, wearing the same jogging outfit, etc, etc... it\'s really something.

Nope, I\'m living in Oakland (I\'m proud to announce that my share of rent + utilities is slightly under $400!) without cable so I can save a crapload of money and someday live like the ****s.  Bay Area homes are so expensive and uncomparable to almost any other regional housing market, though my choice to work in the investment management field should make things easier when I do decide to buy a tiny, over-priced shack in the future.  Tiny homes with bars on the windows in the worst neighborhoods in Oakland probably start at close to $500,000.

"The critical and popular response to ****S has been tremendous and we\'re thrilled to be moving forward on the second season," said Kevin Beggs, President of Programming and Production, Lions Gate Television. "We\'re extremely proud of our creative team headed by Jenji Kohan, and we salute our extraordinary cast."

Parker stars as a suburban mom who resorts to selling **** to support her family after her husband unexpectedly dies. Perkins stars as the uptight head of the PTA and Nealon plays a city councilman and one of Parker\'s regular customers. Parker\'s character finds unusual support and solace from an African American family as she begins to pursue her burgeoning business. Produced by Lions Gate Television in association with Tilted Productions, ****S is executive produced by Jenji Kohan ("Friends").

ZOOEY DESCHANEL, SNOOP DOGG TO MAKE SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES ON SHOWTIME\'S HIT SERIES \'****S\' SECOND SEASON

Elvis Costello, Englebert Humperdinck and Other Artists Record Versions of "Little Boxes" theme song for \'****s\'

Independent film star Zooey Deschanel ("Failure to Launch," "The Good Girl") and hip-hop star Snoop Dogg have filmed guest appearances in the second season of Showtime\'s Golden Globe -winning and Emmy-nominated series ****s. Deschanel will star in three episodes where she will play "Kat," -- the ex-girlfriend of Andy Botwin (Justin Kirk) whose erratic behavior spurred his relocation from Alaska to Agrestic in Season One. This coming season, Kat insinuates herself into the Botwin family, much to their dismay. Snoop Dogg plays himself in one episode where he records a song about marijuana.

On the music side, ****s producers have lined up several recording artists to cover the show\'s quirky theme song "Little Boxes" originally sung by Melvina Reynolds. Each week the show airs, "Little Boxes" will be performed over the credits by different artists including Grammy winner Elvis Costello, Englebert Humperdinck, Death Cab for Cutie, McGarrigle Sisters, Tom Maxwell and Ken Mosher (formerly from Squirrel Nut Zippers), Ozomatli, Regina Spektor, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley and Tim DeLaughter of The Polyphonic Spree.

****s stars Mary-Louise Parker, Elizabeth Perkins, Kevin Nealon, Justin Kirk, Tonye Patano and Romany Malco. The second season begins August 14th at 10pm ET/PT on Showtime.

i\'m very pissed that i bought season 1 on dvd, because much to my surprise, they\'re not presented in their OAR, but instead cropped to 4:3. WTF?! lion\'s gate really dropped the ball on this one..

glad i download all the episodes as they aired last year.. i wouldn\'t mind better quality, but i wouldn\'t sacrifice OAR for it..

Corn Snake
Written by: Jenji Kohan
Directed by: Craig Zisk

Nancy must choose between her budding business and her new DEA agent boyfriend. Before gaining acceptance to rabbinical school, Andy must win over the sexy admissions officer. A fluke accident spurs Celia to run against Doug for city council.

Great to have this show back.  Nancy might actually get away with the fire thing, but what about Conrad he wants nothing to do with her......
