I remember 1st Mayfly I heard.. the ahoy part came outta nowhere! Its like the icing on the most delicious of cakes, after you\'ve already eaten the cake and left most of the icing to save for last. F-in sweet.

Gravity 2nd half jam is the same way - like as if the song wasnt ser enough, here, have another slice

August 31st, 2000    Fire and Water Café     Northampton, MA

I: Jazz Jam > Uncle Freddy > Wake Up in a Coma > See the Light > Peaches en Regalia,
Language of the Gods, Beef Barley > Lit

II: Mooboo’s Voodoo (Episode 2), May Fly Disarray

I\'m pretty sure the above was my first May Fly.  My friend Mike Bonanno and I got permission from UMass to move onto campus early in order to attend this show.  The Mooboo\'s was sick (spaced-out jam and searing guitar), my friend had it taped to his mini disk and I\'m pretty sure we were the only ones who ever had tapes of the show.

On second thought, there are a couple summer 2000 shows not on my list that I may have indeed been at.  I remember Dave Peck coming over to me at one of the Providence shows to let me know about a cool new song on the night\'s setlist, Rufus.  Looks like I need to re-audit my list.
Lobbying for a Kote>Beer Jubilee>Gypsy Girl>Prom 97>Vortex

I remember a blues cafe show where they did montana, and another where they did the first rufus with adrian singing because tim didn\'t know the lyrics yet. Rufus was middle to end of set one because I went to adrian at setbreak and told him I really liked the new reggae song and he told me all about how he had just written it. Can\'t find either of those shows in the setlists though.

Paul - This is what I pulled together from your thoughts.

1. Montana show - From what I can gather, PB/TB only teased Montana.  There were 11 Blues Cafe shows and some might be what you\'re talking about.  8/9/00 - Mystery Roach (1st time plated)... 9/21/00 - Willie The Pimp... 3/15/01 (http://www.archive.org/details/pb2001-03-15.flac16) - Willie The Pimp... 8/30/01 (http://www.archive.org/details/pb2001-08-30.flac16) - I\'m The Slime w/ Montana Teases... 11/27/01 - Magic Fingers...

2. Rufus show - 8/9/2000

Hope this helps...db
