No one likes to talk???
What costume are you going to wear to the Freakout?
-
i\'d tell you, but then i\'d have to kill you...
most people here prolly have a clue as to what i\'ll be going as...
-
I dunno.. Missy is going to be Wednesday Adams, I might be Tom Petty.
-
I wanted to dress up as Elton John and have my girlfriend go as Eminem, but she vetoed the idea. We may end up as Fred Flintstone and Betty Rubble having an affair.
-
Now that would be just plain, pimp.
-
I am still searching for a circus-freaky costume!
-
We need people to be circus people. See the thread Josh made about helping out.
-
i just want to give props to jon (or is it john??) for designing an AMAZING flyer!! man, you\'ve definitely got talent!
-
will tix also be $10 at the door???
-
13 at the door....I always like to get tickets in advance, in case it does sell out. So I bought my Freakout tickets today from tickets.com But I payed freaking 17 each! It would have been cheaper to get them in the door! I thought advance was supposed to be cheaper, but those slinkers add service charges and handling fees so you pay up the ass. What\'s up with this. What\'s the point of getting them in advance.
-
The Service charges have nothing to do with PB. Thats all tickets.com, I\'m sure that you can call the Webster and buy them there. The Freakout is going to be a packed house and to buy your tickets in advance is a good idea.
-
Yeah, I know the service charge has nothing to do with PB. I\'m sorry if I made it seem like it did, I was just ranting at tickets.com:-D I did call the Webster, and they said for tickets call tickets.com. I couldn\'t really have bought them at the Webster\'s box office seeing it is a three hour drive! But I\'m glad I got the tickets anyway. A Packed house eh! Good to hear; let\'s hope there\'s dancin\' room!:P
-
best part of all: this will be my first show in SMOKE FREE CT!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
edit: second show (forgot about mmw the night before)..
-

MMW is going to be good times.. Alot of us are going to be there.
-
Is that the nite fore\' Halloween?
-
Smoke free sucks!
This is why NYC is lame now.
-
NYC lame??? come on! just b/c non-smokers are now free to breathe unpolluted air and keep their lungs in a natural state?? i don\'t think so. NYC will always be the place to party, smoking or not! and now it\'s even better, b/c you can go out and not come home w/ a sore throat and hair that smells like an ash-tray for the next 3 days.
-
Here we go...

COMPLETELY 100% POSITIVELY AGREE
-
MMW!!!! Can\'t wait for that one. Anybody going to the show in Torrington?
And yes, smoke free is a relief. Has that fully taken effect in CT and if not when? I thought it took effect for official bars soon, but certain places, who are under the title of "coffeehouse or cafe or whatever" are still allowed to support cancer until a later date. Anybody know the deal?
-
Its a loophole in the law. Its going to be fixed by November I belive.
-
i dunno... no smoking at margarita\'s the other night when i was there...
-
You can go to Archie Moores and smoke if you want. I for one do not smoke and I hate coming home smelling like cigs.
-
Yeah, I dig the no-smoking.
-
Smoking never really bothered me, but I guess it can\'t be a bad thing (for us non-smokers)... unless somebody has a nicotine withdrawal fit and killed us all. But what are the chances of that happening? 50%, tops!
-
Lol.

I\'m not sure about Chili\'s in staven (i try not to eat with the locals). But the one in Milford had no smoking.......but the bars in new haven are still smoking. Last weekend, the playwright, botegas, and sci fi were all smoky. I really can\'t wait.... I hate when my hair smells of cigarettes. Plus the smoke always makes my contacts get dry. This is a fantastic idea, all you smokers, can kiss my tight ass.

Heh heh...
-
I don\'t smoke cigarettes but if you had a problem with security before you can bet that "tight ass of yours" that you will now.
It just sucks. That is why NYC IS LAME. I used to be able to go to venues that were "smoker" friendly and now that is all gone. And not to mention the FUCKING SMELL. None of you dirty ass hippies know how to shower! The stench in the bars is AWFUL. I personally would gladly smell of cigs then have to smell the fucking BO that permiates throughout the "JAMBAND" clubs now.
You\'ll see what I am talking about soon enough
-
I have seen a bunch of shows in NYC after the ban and love it. I think its a great idea. I can breath the clean fresh air.
-
hahahah, Hippies suck!!
-
Oh yeah;) So now, back to the Freakout! Lol.
-
hehe, good call dogpatch. i for one can say that i\'m totally psyched for the freakout. i\'ve heard that there will be lots of fun surprises, which i can\'t wait to see. i\'ve been getting pieces of my costume here and there over the past week. i\'ll be trick-or-treating before the show so i\'ll bring lots of candy. so when munchies attack, just come looking for me! yum!
-
galenas, how old are you? I am getting more and more stoked for the Freakout every day.

-

who should i start with?? :hscratch:
ok, i\'ll start with gray...
-
A tellie with Mel Gibson on it? Clevah!
-

OMG, that\'s hysterical! Very twisited, but very funny. When I checked that out, i wasn\'t expecting that. Thats so wrong...I don\'t think I can look at the simpsons the same way...
-
How good acoustics does the Webster have?
-
todd, that was sick. enough said.
anyone getting hotel rooms for halloween (or have a recommendation for a CHEEP one)? anyone live close and wanna let me crash? i\'ll make ya breakfast in the morning :)
-
oops, i mean CHEAP.
-
I heard the Webster is a giant echo chamber with shitty acoustics. Is this true? Thoughts? It can\'t be nearly as bad as the Patrick Gymnasium at UVM in Burlington...saw SCI there and it sounded so bad. Couldn\'t really hear half the instruments. Stilla Grate Time.....anyways!
-
LMAO, I\'m going to be the Mad Hatter.. Not the weird looking dude in the first pic.
-
Its this Friday Folks... The count down has begun.
T - 5 days and counting.

hey, does that mean i can use the costume?
haha
-
If you want to... I hope you can direct and shoot video with that costume.
On a side note, Cathy at CT Costume in Bristol has a bunch for rent. Thats where I got the Mad Hatter.
-
Here here on the countdown!
-
I want to make sure that PB WILL NOT be hitting the stage until at least ten-thirty....this is safe?
-
pb is slated to take the stage at 10:30.
3 opening bands with 1/2 hour sets (8:00-8:30, 8:45-9:15, 9:30-10:00).
-
Right on!
-
Its only 3 days away...
-
I can\'t sleep at nite cause\' I\'m so excited. Have to get my sleep during the day.
What Time is everyone getting there? We will probably be there pretty early, around seven or so....I don\'t think I will acually go into the Theatre till\' ten or so.

-
He could get drunk and stoned.

What a thought.......!
-

Let\'s see...
It\'s general admission, but there are seats in the back. There\'s a great space for taping (though it\'s not a great taping venue). You\'ll know it when you see it. Security isn\'t too bad, but they will bust you. And, though you didn\'t ask, parking is surprisingly decent, just don\'t park too far away or you\'ll be in the hood.
-
Thanks for the info. I grew up in West Hartford and Know the south end of Hartford pretty well just never been to the Webster.
Still trying to decide about what to do. I really want to go to this show just can\'t seem to commit to anything this week.
-
RUMOR has it there are rooms being purchased at the Days Inn on Airport Rd Exit 27 off I-91
-
I got a case of New Castle and Sierra Nevada.

uh-huh, but they generally don\'t let you hang around in the lots there.
-
think they\'ll be a little more tolerant about chillin in the lot? what time is pb going on? i probably have to go by myself tonight :( and i wanted to hang out a bit before the show to see if i run into anybody i know.
-
i don\'t see why they would. every time i\'ve gone there they run people out of the lot and make them go inside. one time i got stuck listening to a despicable opening band.
but, don\'t take my word for it. i\'m not always right.
-
oh...i\'ll take your word for it. i\'ve had the same experiences there. what time is pb on? any bars nearby? i haven\'t ventured out to far when i\'ve been to the webster...no idea what\'s around.
-
i\'ve been told pb goes on right at 10:30, and that other cool stuff will be going on prior to that (in addition to the opening bands). as far as i know, there\'s not much around there besides the ghetto...you\'re wise not to venture very far from the webster.
-
aight...thanks for the lowdown. i\'ll be sure to steer clear of the hood.
-
damn i wish i could be at this show. everyone do me a favor and rage the fuck out of this one a little bit for me since i cant be there
-
as the first person awake after the freakout last night (which TRUST ME is not by choice but rather b/c i have to work) let me be the first to say that this was by far the best pb show i\'ve ever seen. in fact, it was defitely one of the best shows of any band i\'ve ever seen. the music blew my mind, the lights were amazing, the stage set-up was amazing, the crowd was amazing, the costumes were amazing... everything was perfect! i\'m ready to start the countdown for foughoulish freakout 6!
-
acoustic in second set included U.S. Blues and Needle and the Damage Done. im not too good with song names but i know that Buquebus was in the second set, and i dont think there was anything out of the ordinary played besides Tim humming that song that Homer sings when hes waiting in the car for Bart at the Spinal Tap show.

spanish flea - Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
tim was saying during sound check how he kept hearing that song in his head whenever they shuffled from electric to acoustic all tour. they also played vera st. and people are strange, i don\'t know how much either of those have been played, but its not much if at all...
-
Where is Vera St. from?
-
A new original Tim wrote!!
-
vera st. was a really nice song. josh, do you still need a review b/c i\'d write one up if you do (i\'m a journalism major so i could do it pretty quickly if need be). let me know asap.
-
You need to submit it to dean@jambands.com for consideration. Let him know you are a journalism major.. may help get it published on the site.
If you need need format ideas.. there are reviews posted on jambands.com that may help you.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
yup, no prob.
-
hey guys..great time indeed. nice light job and a hell of a show. that was deffinatley top notch performance and I think Vera st. is pretty cool too..in a \'Lovelake\' kinda way. good to see ya Diana, though i wouldnt have recognized ya in that great clown suit.
-
It was a fun night had by all.
-
it was great seeing you too, john. i\'m glad my clown costume came out ok, but the sad thing is that i own (and frequently wear) all the articles of clothing that made up my outfit! how did you make out on poster sales? they were amazing - you\'re seriously very talented! i would have loved to buy the special gold-framed one, but i was a little low on the cizash, ya know? are you going to be at any upcoming shows? i\'ll definitely be at tobacco road and i\'ll almost definitely be at mexicali blues. i\'m also thinking about hittin up cambridge this thursday b/c i\'m seeing moe in boston on friday. not 100% tho.
-
I bought one of the 2 gold-plated posters for $25. It is numbered 1 of 2 and signed by both Jut and Arooney. It will be worth $60,420 dollars in 20 years.
