Just saw this movie last night. Very good, not the best I have ever seen, but very good nonetheless.

Anyone else see this yet?

I thought this was a really good movie but it falls short of Goodfellas and Blow, which it was compared to in articles/reviews I read. Def worth seeing though.

[spoiler]I really disliked the last 15-20 minutes. After all the family oriented business decisions Denzel Washington\'s character made, why did he sell out his entire family in order to save himself? He gave up his entire organization/contacts to Russell Crowe\'s police task force so he could avoid a prison sentence. That really went against his portrayed image the movie created up until his bust. Disappointing ending to say the least...unless I missed something.

awesome movie.  saw it a week ago.   i love denzel as an actor.   I could live without Russell Crowe doing his jersey accent (i think the same exact one he did in cinderella man).

yeah crowe brought the movie down. denzel is still the man though... not as badass as training day but he still brought the fury

Good movie. I enjoyed it. But it was too overhyped, and I think overrated.

Stick with Goodfellas.

:fart:   movie was aight. Great opening scene, but the rest couldn\'t stand to the hype. Denzel was good, but has done better movies. If you want to see a good non-Italian gangster movie, check out "City of God" and tells me what ya thinks.

City of God is brilliant.

The television series, by the same director, called City of Men, is also really fucking incredible.

I loved City of God. This coming from a guy who hates subtitles
