Now us upstaters can have a thread to discuss rides to/from shows. I\'ve been wanting to make a thread like this for a while, but its finally here.
I\'d like to start off with an Upstate NY roll call. I know of the following people:
Myself (ds673488) - Albany (Guilderland)
Booztravlr - Syracuse
klout - Ithaca
tonyajo - Schenectady
cheesenug - Albany (Delmar)

There is breakfast heads who travel to shows to different degrees from all over the state. Some have been coming out of the wood work lately...
Utica- spohn, julia, zee
Auburn- Emily, meg, max, john franzack and bunch more...
Otwizz- PerryTofu, ricstar, sprauge, morley, a bunch more...
Ithaca- Lindz, packy, OMS, Stumblin Sarah, a bunch more....
Long Island- Reba

id like to hear/see someof these people post in this thread so i can get a better idea of who\'s down with the idea. gas is very expensive, and NY has but only a few major highways, so carpooling is both easy and a good idea, especially for upstaters. klout, im going to the daniel st show, i think tonyajo said shes down, and i am, so if you guys wanna get others from out west to come, we can take either one or 2 cars.

Yes, they are all acoustic. Two sets.
Because of my work and life schedule, it looks like the only Daniel Street I can hit is the one on the 24th of Feb. If you guys are hitting anything up in Feb. and are returning the same night, I\'m down.

well actually the first daniel street show, a week from saturday on the 26th, is a full electric show. the following month of residency will be acoustic. carry on new yorkers....

true that. i couldnt think of a better night for a red square show then post moe. on 3/7 now that you mention it.
kelstar doesnt post much but shes an upstater. from clarksville. however i think she will be down in jersey soon. we\';ll be up at any albany shows we can make though. gives an excause for us to leave the little one with grammee and grandpa for hte night :)

Unfortunately I hears that since eric left red square, being the main proponent/booker of breakfast shows there, the venue is no longer willing to pay the band\'s asking price.
other upstaters that post ocassionally are crimson knuckles and goldnrd

wow that really sucks about red square...i love that place. rev hall an option?

headlining it now is doubtful as it is an 800 person venue and the only way they got in last time was via eric. but maybe as an opening act or in a year or two if they blow up enough this summer. there\'s always valentines i guess.....

Well you\'re continuing the derailing. He was skinny and about my height (5\'3") with a shaved head. Somehow in the dream I just knew it was him.

I\'m in the process of refinancing my mortgage since the interest rates are low so I\'m pretty much broke right now. I\'m holding out for River St. and the eventual 4 night run in Upstate NY at the beginning of March instead.

The only catch is i must be home at some point before the morning...sleeping in philli will not be an option.

Binghamton is directly north of Plains, PA so it\'s pretty much out of your way to meet us there. Round up Fitz and a couple others and get some CT folks in there tomorrow night. Good luck!

Northampton will be me plus two. (And second timer and a newb.) I am up for whatever. Dave and Jason, you both know where I live. If it would be easier to leave from there, I don\'t know. I also have plenty of parking space, don\'t have to worry about getting your car towed! I will be home after 4 that day. Would be more than happy to cook up a feast or we can hit a local place on the way out. I have a fouton and an air bed if anyone would like to crash after.
As far as NYC is concerned. Still talking to some folks and such. Not decided yet. Will know more next week.

cheap hotel just outside NYC that we have raged at on a couple occasions. pretty chill place and easy to get to.

If any of you are thinking of taking the train down on Saturday, this is what I found. It leaves from Albany at 9:20, 12:20, 1:15, 3:10, 4:50 and 6:15. Prices run from $37 to $59.

I was just going to write in this thread about tomrorow...
so tonya, who are the otehr 2 people coming with you, is danielle one of them? like i said, i can drive my car. last time booze and klout cam with me we did a park and ride in albany, so i say we do that again. if there is any way you guys can get over here (exit 24 off the thruway), we can park in my work\'s lot which is right off the highway, then get right back on and head out there. i say we just leave early and eat when we get to noho. driving to your house in schenectady is about an extra 45 minutes of driving, so if you guys can get over here (which is on the way), its easier.
western NY\'ers, let me know what your doing...we can caravan.

I\'m going to NYC on Saturday so driving back to Albany after the Northampton show is actually out of the way (it\'s 155 miles to NYC from Northampton and 150 from Albany). I think me and Klout might be getting a hotel room ~8 miles south of Northampton for Friday night. If anyone else is interested in this let me know. Rooms are only $70. Still waiting to hear back from FieryBill.
