looks pretty sick- kinda reminds of crystal bays crown room if you downsized it and made it a one room bar instead of an extension of a casino floor

whatever... i\'m not about to start this argument yet again on this message board. (although that statement is rather entertaining...)

my lombardi\'s pie recommendations:
pepperoni and calamata olives
white pie w/ sausage and onions
ricotta and meatballs

So there is a date posted for almost 4 months from now (which looks like a great show), but no official word about the show on 3/14?

Any confirmation on this?  I think it was 3/14 @ The Warehouse w/ Beatles A-Z opening?

If anyone wants to make up a nice looking poster for this show, I can print on cardstock & mail copies to as many people as possible to promote this show! (esp since we have over 2 months to pack this house - could be ser biz)

(I\'d do it myself, but I don\'t have any artistic skills, so if someone else wants to do it up, pm me please!) :)

dare i suggest a bus trip?

well, i got crickets on this, but i went ahead and requested a price quote for an 18 passenger party bus from none other than shady acres to crash mansion and back to shady acres.

i know i chatted briefly with a few people about this at a-z and there was interest, so we\'ll see what price they come back with. ser, this would be.

"12: The Breakfast
The Breakfast is a hard-hitting jazz rock experimental quartet whose music ranges from progressive rock to sonic landscapes. Their national tour and non-stop schedule have seen them support the likes of The Wailers, Moe, North Mississippi All-Stars, Gomez, and others. In addition to their "road warrior" status, The Breakfast have played the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Minnesota twice, featuring other bands like Widespread Panic, Trey Anastasio, The Black Crowes and many more. Summer festivals like moe.down, Gathering of the Vibes, Camp Bisco, High Sierra, Bonaroo, and other notable events have also invited The Breakfast to share their sound. Tighter, funkier, and more versatile than ever before The Breakfast are turning heads with each show. "

I might be wrong but I don\'t recall the boys playing roo ??

honestly, this venue is EXTREMELY easy to get to. Take the FDR to Houston Street, turn left on Bowery, and you are there in literally 1 minute. probably just about as easy as you could get for nyc. and there is ample free parking in the area. i\'m down there all the time.

possible (hopeful) answer: TFA.

another question:Can anyone recommend a good live recent show to burn for promo discs? (<80 min, of course!) I\'d love to have some discs & upcoming show fliers ready for this one...

I love this line.

Only because it never happens.

Are we the only friendless fanbase or our friends that anti-Breakfast/good time.

If we all found one friend to bring to a show that would be an additional 30 people.

Sometimes you get one out and they might get hooked but all your faces are so familiar it makes me sick.

Nothing against ya\'ll....

...yet.

This looks like a cool setlist, but I don\'t think that they\'d even have time to play 3/4 of the main set with 3-4 openers...  Not sure if Kentavius Jones is co-headlining (his image is the same size as TB)...  My guess is that TB will get 1.5 hours...

If I go down to the city I may be chillen with a few w00ks for the day... and by that I mean w00kishly good friends of mine... they are also mostly inexperienced in the ways of The Breakfast but are completely prepared to taxi it over there upon my insistence.

So I guess the question is... is there like a side door or something if we wanted to hit up this party before the show? ;)

My car is making a sound like the wheel is about to fall off and my check engine light is on full-force (not unusual for ~200,000k mile Subarus, but still...) so I think I\'ll get an oil change before then and see if that magically cures everything.

Also may have to look at an open house early Sunday so if that\'s the case... no can do

It\'s really easy to take the subway.

take 4/5 south one stop to 14th street union square
transfer to the 6 (which is right across the platform)
take that to spring street
get out and walk east (just ask someone which way to bowery and you\'ll hit it in a minute.)

call if you need anything! can\'t wait to party!!

oh yeah -- and once you hit bowery, cross over so you are on the east side of the street, then walk up just like a block or two and you\'ll hit stanton, which is where my buddy lives. make a right and the building is on the right. peace!

Great, great show. Incredible intensity that dripped all over everything. I think it went something like the Chase, Tunage, huge, with a Billie Jean jam in there, then a tune I\'m not familiar with or just couldn\'t place it, epicly good HLH, then an even better Honey Butter, oh man, that was juicy! the jam eventually found the refrain of Come Together, and Axis:Bold as Love with Jim Cobb nailing it(nice job man!) Was there something else? I am a little foggy about remembering stuff today. Thank you guys, just what I needed!!

Tim also played with Kentavius Jones on Feelin\' Alright. Guitar Armageddon!!!

yeah what is astronomy domine?

One of the shittier Pink Floyd songs.

What happened at this show... early cutoff time? I thought these NYC shows were supposed to be 3-4 hour non stop ragers?

I mean I\'m sure they raged whatever they played but between the 7 song setlist including 2 cover songs (aka wasted time) I\'m pretty glad I didn\'t beat up my car and pull a 180 on my sleep cycle to make it there.

Guess I\'ll have to wait until Sullys + Mill Street in August to witness some ser behavior.

Oh yea Breakfast rules.... people gotta give em time to play though!

I don\'t think that you could call covering AD wasted time... It they played Hot For Teacher, I\'d agree with you... But they rarely cover Floyd and when they do, it\'s awesome...

I think they went on about 1:30...can\'t remember what time they went off, but it had to be at least 3am, no?  I think between being up early, moving all day, going to the roof top party, and the band getting a late start I ended up in a time warp.  As for NYC shows being 3-4 hour ragers...that is generally not the case.  I love going to see the Breakfast in NYC, but the last 3 or 4 shows have been more like 2 hours topps.

THanks to Diana for getting the B\'fast crew a great pregame spot.  Great night for a rooftop party.  After doing something like that before a show and going to a nice venue, it has me less excited about shows like Toad\'s Place.
