whats the best show you\'ve seen out of this current incarnation of the Breakfast and why?
-
tember 29th, 2006 - House Of Blues: Back Porch Stage; Chicago, IL
I: Escher\'s Etchings > Beef Barley, Psygn, Intension > jam > Tribal Funk Affliction > Earache My Eye >
Tribal Funk Affliction
II: Tricky Ways > Superfly Phaddy Fat* > Drum Solo > Honey Butter, The Late And The Great >
Over Exposure
* with \'Stayin Alive\' (The Beegees) tease.
Why? : Tim, Ron and Adrian were having a fu*%ing blast thanks to a crowd that just came from a String Cheese show. The place was packed and I have a vague memory of Tim doing summersaults in the parking lot after the show. (???????????? Don’t know if that really happened though. ????????)
-
November 22nd, 2006 - Sully\'s; Hartford, CT
I: Future Peek, jam > Dig, Escher\'s Etchings Part 1 > Rust > Language Of The Gods, Drunk Monk Bar,
Food For Thought* > Over Exposure**
II: Honey Butter > Hard Luck Harry > Honey Butter, Episode 1 (Happy) > The Late And The Great >
Episode 1 (Happy), Taboo Or Not Taboot > What The Funk
E: Intension
* Gobble Gobble Gobble
** First time played without \'The Late And The Great\' preceding.
though it was a tough night to go out, there was a good crowd a lot of energy flowing back and forth good setlist

August 31st, 2006 - Electric Company; Utica, NY
I: Space City Affair > Wake Up In A Coma, The Chase, Rust, jam > Episode 1 (Happy), Future Peek > LDZ > Dig > Honey Butter, Funky Bill\'s Circus Cliché
II: Beef Barley, Intension, Love Lake > What The Funk, Rufus > Puppetry
III: Drum Solo > Space City Affair > Psygn > No Regret, Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me > Tricky Ways, Question, Episode 3 (Awakening)
second set was out of control. $2 pints of saranac all night. took the next day off from work so i could extend my labor day weekend. my first time seeing them as a trio too.
-
I\'d have to say the Sullys show, the night before Thanksgiving I believe.
Top notch playing, small venue, good vibes.... and Tim absolutely killed that Stratocaster that night. The Strat just sounds sooooo much better than the SG.
....
Ooops I forgot about the last Burlington show @ Metronome. I forget the date. Probably October or something.
-
my pick:
December 8th, 2006 - Milly\'s Tavern; Manchester, NH
I: Inner Glimpse > Hard Luck Harry*, Peaches En Regalia > Honey Butter, Fairy, Lit,
May Fly Disarray, The Grand Scheme Of Things
short show, total dooze, but some of the best jamming i\'ve seen out of them, 3 or 4 piece. Peaches is always a treat, and the Honey Butter was some next level improv the likes of which I haven\'t seen from them before. and a Scheme to close it off, and you got yourself a winner.
* inverted.

#3 Welcome to this World encore I love that tune!
#4 all in all the band sounded great that night and I had a great time, add in a rediculous latenight, and you\'ve got what off the top of my head is probably the best 3 piece show I\'ve seen.
-

-
still the last providence show. i dont even need to say why. i didnt know that was physically possible.
not that i ever *really* stopped, but that night i fell in love with this god damn band again :disco:
when was that adc show a while back - that too was a great show, i remember saying if i doubted i would see them as a 3-piece i changed my mind. brain is fuzzy on dates these days though.

seen would be either this past 8x10 show or the one last fall. since there are no tapes of the one from last fall, i\'ll say that that was the best show ever by any band, period, just because i can\'t be proven wrong! :^p
heard, either 12/9/06 or 2/17/07.
-
def the first Tomatotron show @ the Corner Pocket last summer.

leaning towards sallyalli\'s birthday show.... but still have to go through some setlists to jog the old memory
-
def the first Tomatotron show @ the Corner Pocket last summer.
Just a heads up for ya Robyn. There has only been one Tomatotron show in the history of that horrible horrible moniker, and it definitely was not the Breakfast\'s first show as a threepiece July 8, 2006. It was supposed to be a Good Time Boys show at Cafe 9 but Dave Peck was sick and couldnt make the gig, so instead of canceling the show Tim, Ron, and Adrian played as a threepiece under the horrible horrible moniker, Tomatotron.

I have given this some serious thought and I would have to say that my favorite 3 piece show to date is 12/9/06 The Saint, Asbury Park, NJ. It was my second consecutive Breakfast birthday show. My only birthday wish was for someone to write out the bands setlist copies for me so I had no idea what was coming all night long. That was the first and only time since I started working for the band that I had absolutely no idea what they were going to play the entire show.
December 9th, 2006 - The Saint; Asbury Park, NJ

The band was definitely on fire that night. There were a bunch of friends in the house to see the show and help me celebrate my birthday. I was on more substances all at once than I have ever been on before in my life. There was some boomer chocolates, some ser acid, and some very friendly and giving person was just handing me 1/4 chunks of E the entire night long. The music was transcendant as the band literally carried me with their music through the night......
I would be remiss if i didnt mention the 10/28/06 mezzanote show. That was equal to 12/9 on every level with the exception that it wasn\'t my birthday.
The best part about both those nights was not only the show, but the latenight hotel raging was by far the 2 best post show throwdowns I have ever been to after a Breakfast show.

you could of been in church on all those drugs and had a splendid time.

ok, fine, whatever. All I know is that the show @ Corner Pocket was their first show as a "trio" after Jordan left, and no one knew what to call them. Tomatotron was the "horrible moniker" used & it was pure, silly craziness watching TPalms play keys & guitar that night!
-
for me it has come down to these two shows... i am probably forgetting some ser shows but i really liked the saint & mezonote lounge (night 2):
I: Funky Bill\'s Circus Cliché, May Fly Disarray, Score, jam > Dimension 5, Episode 3 (Awakening), Tunage
II: The Grand Scheme Of Things > Beef Barley, LDZ > HDX > Over Exposure > The Grand Scheme Of Things, Bugs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Plans by environment crusader
Al Gore for a climate change rock concert at the U.S. Capitol are running into some facist opposition.
The former facistic presidential candidate wanted to hold one of seven worldwide "Live Earth" concerts on the National Mall in the U.S. capital on July 7 but two other groups secured that space for events.
An alternative to use the Capitol\'s west lawn -- proposed by Senate facistic Leader Harry Reid (news, bio, voting record) of Nevada and facist Sen. Olympia Snowe (news, bio, voting record) of Maine -- now is on hold in the U.S. Senate.
And the concert organizers are looking for another host city.
"While it\'s unfortunate for the American people that we are being blocked from staging the U.S. concert in our nation\'s capital, the show must go on, even if it\'s in another city," said Chad Griffin, a senior adviser to the Live Earth effort.
"This will bring tremendous revenue and worldwide exposure to whatever U.S. city ends up hosting," he added.
Senate facist Leader Mitch McConnell (news, bio, voting record) of Kentucky last week objected to approving the resolution to hold the concert on the Capitol grounds because he and the Senate Rules Committee had not yet reviewed it.
facist Sen. James Inhofe (news, bio, voting record) of Oklahoma, a leading critic of Gore\'s environment efforts, opposes the move as well though he has not moved to block it. Individual senators can block legislation.
"Senator Inhofe objects to having any events on the Capitol grounds that are either highly partisan or politically controversial -- and the proposed Gore concert is both," said spokesman Marc Morano.
Inhofe has referred to global warming as a "hoax." Gore argues the world is facing a "planetary emergency" and wants an immediate freeze on U.S. carbon dioxide emissions.
In addition to the American concert, others will be held on the other six continents: Shanghai, Sydney, Johannesburg, London, Brazil, Japan and Antarctica.
Slated to play are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Melissa Etheridge, and close Gore friend rock star Jon Bon Jovi, among others.
D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty hopes it will take place in the heavily facistic city.
"We hope that things are resolved so that Mr. Gore can have his event and promote his environment initiative," said spokeswoman Mafara Hobson.
