eek that one\'s kinda tough, but I went with Eppy III
-
I had to go with Eppy 1. Episode 3 is hardly ever played and has never really grown on me, yet. Eppy 1 brings in tides of good times.
-
YiKES!!!!
-
Wow what a match up. I LOVE Epi 3 but Epi 1 is just one of those songs that gets me EVERY TIME and I like being Happy.
-
i had to go with 3 after a long internal debate. theres just a lot more there.

Now isn\'t this the board that emphasizes quality over quantity?
No just bustin\' balls.
There is just no other song that within the first 5 measures has me in tears of joy. EVERY TIME.

I think this one\'s gonna be a close call, they may have to bring out the electron microscope for the final "photo" finish......
-
Definitely Eppy 1.
I don\'t really care for the 12 bar blues part in Eppy 3. Besides that (Happy) is one of the first PB songs I heard live and has a bit of sentimental value ... or something.
-
Episode 3 (Underexposure) should be the nickname. I personally haven\'t heard it enough to pull my vote away from Episode 1, a tune I have loved since \'99.
-
Epi 1 was the first pb song I heard, so I\'m not going to let it die in the first round if I can help it.
-
eppy 3 is so far overrated in my eyes. prolly means nothing to most of you ;)
but i feel for all the hype associated with this song, there should be more there. musically. i dont buy into all the hype yet.
-
Epi 3 doesn\'t get played much, Epi 1 even less. Very little to base a decision on in terms of live impact. I went Epi 3 because of its debut at Fonghoulish Freakout 7; the whole tie-in with the Star Wars theme then debuting the song for the encore was tremendous and brought down the house. Eppy 1 has never had a moment like that and, for as nice a song as it is, never will.

12 up. damn tight race...

wow this is close.
-
gotta go old school here. like eppy 3 a lot, but not as much as 1. and let\'s remember - without episodes 1 and 2, there would be no episode 3. ;)
-
ah man, i\'m sad that ep 3 is gettin ousted so early.

I dunno. See: Star Wars. They had Episodes 4-6 20 years before 1-3. I could write a song called "Episode 24" right now, I wouldn\'t need 1-23. I\'ve been voting for more new songs over old songs than I thought I would.

This bracket clearly has the best second-round matchups forthcoming with Score vs. May Fly, See the Light vs. Psygn, and even Gravity vs. Late and the Great, which made a quality showing in downing Fairy.
I was glad to see Episode 1 and 3 stage a back-and-forth battle before Ep. 1 pulled away in the final days. Tough to go against the defending champ in the next round.
I will say that I thought Psygn vs. D5 would be closer and am disappointed and stunned that it was such a rout. But that simply illustrates the strength of the fans\' new favorite song that it could defeat a song which is also a favorite.
As far as D5\'s "low" seed goes, believe me, it\'s not because of my personal preference. I love the song. But when you\'re a 7 seed in 2005, lose in the first round, and the band significantly diminishes your spot in the rotation, you get dropped. Vera Street was in the same scenario: 7 down to 11 after a first-round loss last year. Consistency, consistency, consistency. There was some randomness in these brackets, but I also had a formula for a lot of the matchups. It worked for a lot of them and in this case it didn\'t. Well, it didn\'t work for D5. It worked fine for Psygn, which now either gets to see the light of the quarterfinals or the dark side of the bracket.
This whole experience has been shit tons of fun!
