If your into to these type of movies i.e. Anchorman, Old School etc. go see it, it\'s hillarious. IMO its as funny as Anchorman.
-
I saw this movie last night and I haven\'t laughed that hard in a long time. It\'s so gratuitously sexual and blatantly inappropriate. Better than Anchorman. A+.
"Ma, the MEATLOAF! FUCK!"
-
so you are saying this is worth seeing in the theaters?
-
Mos def....i was lucky enuff to see this two weeks ago at a sneek preview. It was so funny i plan on seeing it once more before it leaves the theaters!
-
hmmm, nothing happening tonight, trying to take it easy and save the body from any more harm, this might just be the answer.
-
Yea Spacey, The new theatre where the old old K-Mart was is now open. It may be the only opportunity to go to a movie theatre without your feet sticking to the floor from all the spilled pop corn and soda.
-
That\'s right. That new theater is a stadium theater. Looks like they did a great job with it. I might just check it out. Maybe, I will hit on the young ladies who are being dropped off by mom and dad, I\'ll bring back home, oh I\'ll bring them home...

:fucktard:
-
Brought them home I did. Maybe I am a fucktard, that\'s for the courts to decide.
BTW,
I didn\'t go to the movies, I got the shakes around 8 and had to go get some beers but the new theater looks nice from the outside.
-
Hmmm don\'t think I laughed once during Anchorman so I\'ll prolly skip this one.
Have any of you seen the new Chocolate Factory? I have great things from a lot of people who were originally very skeptical. I\'m pretty excited about seeing this.
Not to mention... Johnny Depp and I are getting married some day.
-
I actually watched a little of anchorman yesterday, it\'s stupid funny, not that great but not that bad.
With Charlie and his Factory, I have heard that it does not live up to the original, most don\'t when it comes to remakes. However, it is probably worth seeing just so you can form your own opinion.
-
I would say Wedding Crashers is more like Old School meets Animal House funny. I don\'t want anyone discouraged from seeing it, because I mentioned Anchorman, I know plenty of people who disliked Anchorman.
-
I am not a huge go to the theater movie goer in the first place. I usually will wait to go rent a dvd before I go to the theater unless it is an epic movie.
-
i saw anchorman last weekend and it was one of the worst movies EVER!!!! the only funny part is when christina a. called will f. on the phone and didn\'t say anything to him! i hope wedding crashers is nothing like anchorman!! vince vaughn rules!
-
does anyone know who anchorman is suppose to be based on or is it just based on the time when women were second to men in the field of news reporting and it is just a generalization of what happened in the era?
-
Im pretty sure it\'s just a generalization, and the wacky antics inside Will Ferrels head.
-
saw it last night, HILARIOUS. havent laughed like that in a theater in a long time.. waaayyy beter than anchorman. vince vaughn redeemed himself after watching him throw out the most terrible first pitch at a cubs game ive ever seen. definitely see this movie, i was surprised at how funny it was.
alright, im gonna go crash a funeral. peace.
and yeah, fuck anchorman. way overrated.
funniest part of that movie was jack black\'s cameo. other than that, nothing that really stands out in my mind.
-
A great film critic from the Wall St. Journal thought it was great.
On another note, I\'ve never heard of \'Anchorman\'.

Well what I am most intersted in is that it suposedly is much closer to the book than the original movie. And although Gene Wilder IS Willy Wonka in my mind, Johnny Depp is a fabulous actor with great interpretive powes so I can;t wait to see where he takes it and what personal touch he adds to the character.
-
Not a huge fan of Anchoreman either.
Anyone like Napoleon Dynamite?
-
ND was a good flick
-
man, i was a little hesitant about WC, but not after seeing this thread.
w/out Steve Carell (Brick), Anchorman would have sucked. "I killed a guy with a trident!"
oh, spacey to answer your early question about whether anchorman was based on anyone. at the beginning of the movie it is stated: "Based on actual events. Only
the people, places and events have been changed."
-
I saw that. I was just wondering if it actually was based on a specific person or if it was just a generalization of the era.
I am google this mother fucking question, Who and Where was the 1st Female Anchor!
Brick did make the movie. Funny how weather people haven\'t changed, still no idea how to think.
1976- Barbara Walters becomes the first woman to anchor a network evening newscast.

I grew tired of waiting for you, looks like we ended up on the same page. I never knew this:
1974 - Ella Grasso was the first woman elected Governor in her own right (Connecticut).
-
Was she the same governer who started the deposit on bottles?
good things come to those who wait ;)
-
if so, i hate her
-
that is an extra 5 cents I have to spend before I can purchase my drink of choice. damn it! either way, that is how I make a living these days, speaking of which, I owe the panhandler union my monthly dues, shit....

When the factory that they work at gets outsourced to Mexico, two workers on the line decide to head over the border and get their jobs back.
Just the tip.
