Title: Site (.net) moving servers, bear with us
Post by: Cruzweb on July 18, 2005, 12:21:10 pm
Ok guys, so after months of dealing with all the shit over at intermixx, thebreakfast.net is moving hosts over to Volico (the same host that pencilgrass uses), a host that has been nothing but over the top for me in the past and I doubt we\'ll have any issues with them. What does this mean? If things are screwy for the next two days please bear with us. There\'s no such thing as a seemless transition. If thursday rolls around and there\'s still glaring problems somewhere that I haven\'t cought, let me know. We want to get this all done before the festival viewers get home and look at it.

Since we\'ll now also have 1.3gb of space and 40gb of transfer to play with, hopefully we\'ll be able to add more stuff to the site; like video and what not.

For those inclined, this (http://volico.com/web-hosting/web-presence.html) is the package we got.

Just a heads up fellas.

any possible way the Breakfast Radio can play more then just the RR sampler? like just random tunes, like phish radio or bisco radio? Just a thought, might have more people hit up the page. Or a video of the guys in concert so people who never seen them can see them.

Keep up the good work. Thanks for the heads up.

I\'d love to; those all use flash though, something i\'m not all that strong in.

But, I did find something that I might just buy. It\'s called the Wimpy mp3 player, there\'s a sample @ this site (http://www.gieson.com/Library/projects/wimpy.html) and this (http://www.wimpyplayer.com/purchase/purchase_wimpy_player.html)  is all the purchase info about it.

It would actually work really well if we just did the whole damn package (http://www.wimpyplayer.com/purchase/purchase_wimpy_bundle.html), that way we can run all audio and flash video (Mpeg, AVI can be imported into flash) for universal compatability (currently, macOS and UNIX users can not access the existing radio. Which sucks).

So maybe we can do that, i\'d love to try it.
