damn, I wish it took me an hour or less, heh, I average 3-4 hours a pop but I only get like 100K/sec at most from archive, usually average around 70k though

I do, I do... I did everything penny lane was told to do...
Flac, winamp, nero... Nothing happens.
It opens in winamp but I push play and there\'s just 0.00
Ay yay yay, I \'m going crazy with this
(and I should be writing a paper).

can you burn audio discs from flac files in nero?

are you sure you dont have the flac plugin for winamp 2 installed with winamp 5 or the flac plugin for winamp 5 installed with winamp 2?

open nero and go to file > preferences, then plugin lookup. do you see Free Lossless Audio Codec under the decoders tab?

The Ziggy\'s recording finally got moved to the d/l directory about 24 hours after it was approved by the admins.  Must be all the Grateful Dead activity messing the archive up.  Here\'s the link:

OK, so , um, I\'m trying to emerge from the stone ages and I just downloaded my first show from archive.org!  (Keep in mind I\'m in my first 6 weeks of living with high-speed Internet.)  I now have a bunch of files (the audio tracks) that come up in a winzip menu, but it seems that nothing I can do to them will make them play.  Where do I go from here?

if you are just concerned with playing right now and not burning you will need the plugin for winamp. if you dont have winamp get it from winamp.com. if the files are shn files get the SHNamp plugin from etree.org. If the files are flac files get the flac frontend from mikewren.com/flac. the flac fronend has everything you need for playing, decoding and burning flac files. to decode shn files you will still need the mkw audio compression tool. that can be found at etree.org as well.

Yikes, OK, I\'ll get working on that.  That\'s a lot of downloading!  Thanks a lot for the tips!  I\'ll probably be back.
