Woot! Nice to see them getting out of CT for a little.
-
so, are these dates the beginnings of a tour or just a couple one off dates?
-
i believe they\'re just flying out for a few shows..
-
I also believe they are just flying out to Colorado and playing better venues where they will draw a crowd. I remember Phil speaking about this.
-
well, at least they\'re flying to the right place for a few shows! they should spend as much time in CO as possible, frankly...
-
Well Phil knows Colorado and knows the right places. Why should the band waste time playing areas where there is no turnout. Need to capitalize on places that the band will have people turn out with interest.
-
exactly. plus quixote\'s has a great history with gainnig attention for smaller bands. some of my favorite shows are from there. and, in general, CO is the headiest place around in terms of folks getting out to jam bands. good to see them hitting up smart places!! way to go phil, et al!
[evil]I wonder if there\'ll be a lay over in St Louis....[/evil]
-
Might have to go out on a limb and sign up for this little run.

Definitely gotta suck a little dong to get out to the rockies......
wouldn\'t be the first time, would it?
why don\'t you call la chica in Colorado and have her pay your way out there this time?
-
I am all set with sucking cock to get to colorado, or anywhere for that matter.......
I am pretty sure that since they are flying out they are just using all backline equipment and whatnot and not need a full service road hog......
I do have an message out to my friend in Denver, however, I dont think she will find the investment as intriguing as last year......

1) It is the unwritten rule of the road
2) Who said anything about working the shows
3) I don\'t blame you for trying

Who should i talk to about getting a show in Boulder? I live in boulder and it would be perfect for the band to play there, especially since they are already going to be in Colorado. Might as well rock the state, right? I\'m bringing all my friends to the shows. Anyway, the fox theater in Boulder is equivalent to Higher Ground in Burlington, seems like the perfect venue, right? i think so. if i can help out in any way to get another show i will do it, just need the right people to talk to

get it done!

oh yeah, and while you are corresponding with Hunt and or Phil, let them know the importance that the road crew means to the band, even though they aren\'t carrying any equipment on that run......Crew is an invaluable resource on the road (worth well more the price of an airline ticket), for moral support and to assist in releasing the true Broseph within these mountain crowds........

Quixote\'s is a fantastic venue for TB. What a place, what an atmosphere, what great people.

The Fox is perhaps my favorite stage in CO (as far as indoor gatherings go). A small to medium size venue with a bigger feel and HUGE sound.
If you want to hit up this show and can\'t find a bed just find Dean Moriarty or Carlo Marx -- they\'d be happy to put you up for a night or eight. Last resort: Roland Major.
They all work, though.
