Re: Rev Hall Gladys
Is there any versions of this song that even rival this one?
If so please let me know because i wanna hear it!
-
not in my book.
-
I posted in the Wheelhouse anticipation thread a link to dowload the one from the last time they were there unbelievable, haven\'t had a chance for a Rev hall 2nd listen but one way or another you should listen to this shitty sound quality but killer jam
-
i serly think this version was a major stepping stone for this tune and Gladys can now officially be considered a HEAVY HITTER.
-
4/6/05 gladys> score> gladys> score
-
thanks me i will check that out

Honestly I\'ve always considered this tune a heavy hitter, one of my favs in my top 5
-
I have always liked it a lot too but it but I always considered more of a short rocking tune. Not an 18 minute monster jam out peak session heavy hitter type of thing.

4/9/05 gladys> score> gladys> score
^^fixed.
-
thank god for that.

Quientisental Breakfast tune. But that\'s just me.....
-
its def been a raging funkfest of a tune. i dunno, maybe you heard the wrong ones. the first one i remember hearing was at the Freakout at the Living Room in \'02 and that one def eclipsed the 15 minute mark.
actually its 13:09, but close enough.
pair that tune w/ score and you got an all out funkathon, everyone on the dance floor got down and dirty, and it was borderline obscenity.

The gladys from the 3rd set 8/19 > 1st set 8/20 was ser! Someone wrote, forget who it was, that you could prob edit it so that these two tracks would go seemlessley into one another.... one the second night tim\'s mic wouldnt work so the jam part gets extended to be about ten mins before he goes into the Gladys Pimp line.
But the Rev Hall version is my personal fav as of yet, and i don\'t see anyother version surpassing it....the dual keys we\'re incredible, i was standing sequoia side for that one!
-
i have only been seeing them since 03. I have seen and heard a few pretty rockin ones. nothing on this level tho. i\'m gonna listen to 4/9 rite now
-
I forgot about the dueling keys Rev Hall may have to take the cake
-
EVERYTHING from Rev Hall was amazing! I hope they come back soon!
-
welcome and I hope they return there as well. It was/is a cool venue
-
klout - do me a favor.. go here, gather your thoughts, and come back. thanks.
;)
-
Oh dear, I hope this doesn\'t start a grammar discussion.
-
haha that irked me too, but i wasnt gonna say anything.
-
3/4/05 toad\'s glayds was sick, as was the 6-10 porter\'s

@ Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos With Me
I want, I want, to be, to be, a meanie
I am, I am, fucked up, fucked up, slightly
Tell me, tell me, you love, you love, me me
I like, I like, to jump, to jump, wee-hee
I would like to be
In a tree with thee
Feelin the breeze
Ticklin my knees
You are such a flirt
Lifting up your skirt
Looking down your shirt
Now I\'m lost in your world
That lovely girl
Gladys Pimp And Kangaroos
Wild bunch of crazy fools
No one tells them what to do
They\'re loving life and breaking rules
Gladys, Gladys, now meet, now meet, me me
I want, I want, to join, to join, thee thee
So I, so I, could live, could live, free and
Hook up, hook up, with you, with you baby
I would like to see
Kangaroos with me
Led by Gladys P
Pimp of Honalee
She is such a flirt
Lifting up her skirt
Looking down her shirt
Now I\'m lost in her world
That lovely girl
I don\'t want to live my life
With restrictions laws or strife
My name is Gladys Pimp
With Kangaroos we take no shit
