woo hoo!  this place is a lot of fun -- anyone know if he\'s playing downstairs in the pub or upstairs in the restaurant?

This is definitely one of the places I miss in CT the most.  This place is great on a Friday night - standing on the tables and punching the ceiling during Sweet Caroline.  God, I miss this place.  Have fun!

I would imagine that he\'s playing downstairs.

I love the Liff, but parking sucks. It\'s bad enough when I go down there on Tuesday nights, never mind a Friday at 5pm. Regardless, I\'ll be there if I\'m not working... which I probably am.

that reads like death on grilled irish bread. i trust the irish with a hangover helper anyday.

The Irish were geniuses before the discovery of alcohol.

:that: the place was filled up... mostly by "Yalies" in suits.  Overall, the place had a great, cozy vibe, and the servers were quick to get us some drinks and food.  There wasn\'t a lot of room to sit, though - the place reminds me of a maze.  There were tables, chairs, & people everywhere, so you \'dreally need to plan a path to get through the mess.  At first, people weren\'t really getting into the music - a lot of groups talked loudly over the music.  But when I left during the second set, they were paying much more attention.  This was Tim\'s first solo gig at Liffey\'s & hopefully not his last!  It was great to see Mikey bring a crew, and Spacebrush & Heather showed up too.  I had a lot of fun & I can\'t wait to see more BFam in the house next time!

Sounds like an awesome time.  I feel bad I missed it.   I don\'t enjoy being sick.  :vomit:

We\'ll get those Yalies grooving yet....with or without their ties.
