Was this last minute or what?  How was Buquebus?

This looks like one of the best setlists this year:

Sundance, Beef Barley > Tom Sawyer, LDZ > Beef Barley, Fairy, Buquebus, Hard Luck Harry > Taboo Or Not Taboot, In The Flesh

Taped???

the Buquebus was better than that of the puppethouse.  i couldnt believe how good it was...they jammed it soooooo hard and long right till the very end.  hard luck was kinda weak......the jam didnt really go anywhere.  overall a good show...the UVM kids LOVED it.  they invited us all to a frat party which was pretty nuts.  there\'s going to be a show at that frat on December 7th so make sure your calenders are clear.  Dobz taped it with is stuff because it was raining and didnt want to ruin the mics.

"the Buquebus was better than that of the puppethouse. i couldnt believe how good it was...they jammed it soooooo hard and long right till the very end."

That is a BOLD statement there gggggggguy!  I have to hear this to believe it.  I definitely want to hit UVM in December...ahh Lake Champlain in the Winter!

^^^^^^  it really was Walshy.  i was thinking during the techno sytle jam, "SO FAR this is better than the puppethouse buquebus."  once the final jam was beginning, i knew it was better.  the last jam out of the eat your breakfast part had to be 10 minutes........it was so intense people were going crazy.  i even went to ellis and dobz during the final jam and told them.  i guess you\'ll just have to listen to it, but i thought it blew puppethouse\'s away AND i was not even faced this time.

Now I know you are lying!!!  ;)  WOW!  I gotta hear this then, it sounds like the style of jam that I love in Buquebus...totally leaving the theme building trance to a peak and then exploding back into the Last verse/chant of \'Queeb.  The first one I really remember doing that was the 12/16/04 Cafe9 version.

TEAM \'QUEEB FO\' LIFE!!!

these burlington kids are creamin their pants about this show and couldn\'t believe the band was in their frat the other night.

My thoughts exactly. For a band that seemed to have fought hard to distinguish themselves from Phish(due to unfair comparisons) and w/ such a large portion of their vocal fanbase dissing other bands that "sound" like Phish I just find this kinda funny is all.

i don\'t really see it as funny.  pb used to be criticized in burlington by people saying " don\'t fuck with our phish"  now they are getting begged to play gigs there and they have a much larger vt. fan base than i expected.  people out there know the breakfast\'s potential besides us.  that\'s really nice to know

Bigger fanbase than expected? Come On guy. No Phish for sure=what else is there?
So I figure The Breakfast should play to PACKED houses when they go up there. As far as being begged to play there. I know if I was in college there I would of course want a band like The Breakfast as often as possible along w/ ANY other decent band. Hell it\'s College!
The thing is do they play to packed houses that are not college parties? I can see the idea of gaining new phans in the area but to play frat parties @ UVM is strictly a $$ thing to me which is fine. Phish did it and it worked for them.
As far as other people knowing The Breakfast\'s potential believe me thousands of people know their potential nationwide. I think they need to do something else Phish did. Ummm TOUR?

oh and btw Thread officially \'jacked.

he borrowed the opening band\'s guitarist\'s guitar (10-Year Typhoon, or something like that).. i guess there\'s a crack in the neck of the SG that just recently opened up, and it\'s not playable..

driving a van that costs about $100 to fill and gets 10 miles to the gallon is a little more expensive than a round trip ticket.  not to mention hotel rooms and food.

LOL Dude ok now that you finally got around to responding to my snide quip. I\'ll clue you in. I have toured w/ a band and know the cost. Also having incurred the cost of following a band for 2-3 weeks at a time. I could estimate how much it would be for 4 guys AND having to play an average of every third night for 2-3 weeks plus travel in a Van NOT a Tour Bus.
Nah I know it costs $$ Why else would I be causing a stink about it?
I\'ll put one of these ;) nxt time GUY
