well, I see no reason for the band to come home. If anything they should after New Mexico start a tour back to Chicago and do it again.

That\'s a good fucking show. 2 special guests. Hope this show surfaces soon.

I\'m at a loss of words.

I am calling it now...BEST.LANGUAGE.EVER!  I bet this thing got downright DRUM&BASS from the git-go.  Rick is an AMAZING drummer.

Killer looking setlist...

Leith, how was the crowd?

FZ, have you never missed a Merge?

Walsh.... Best Language ever?  Why, because some trance-rock, electronica drummer sat in for it?  Come on, guy....... at least listen to it first.  No version of any song can be the best ever if one of the band members is not playing on it.

Marcial, first Rick is one of the best drummers out there.  Two he doesn\'t play trance.  Three, obviously it was in jest because of the "best-evers" that get thrown around here all too often, but sarcasm just doesn\'t work well on the interweb;)

I actually am VERY interested to see how this went however, due to the way that \'Language\' has been evolving(ala \'Queeb) into a bit more of an "electronica" type jam.  I understand you don\'t like "electronica"-based music, but many do and this just really interested me.

Now, your argument that no version can be best ever, just bc one of the boys wasn\'t playing is complete BS.  I guarantee that if Phil sat in with tB on \'The Other One\', and I am a HUGE Ronnie fan, it could achieve Best Ever status, NO?

Maybe... but The Other One is a cover.... Phil on Attraction... definitely would not be the best ever!

I figured there was some sarcasm in there... just breakin\' your electronica-balls!

I knew that.  Honestly though, this Language has the chance to be very different and interesting, if they went the DnB route that Rick is VERY good at.

Well first the set list should be updated to 2 sets. Rufus closed the 1st set.

Encore was to be Eschers Pt.2 but time ran out on the guys.

Crowd was very good for a Wednesday and the love I was telling the guys OB had for them was VERY EVIDENT.
All night people were yelling stuff like \'where you guys been, not so long next time, Fuck yeah You guys are back\' etc.

Pretty packed as show started and many people stayed the whole show.
Talking w/ my friend Tom who ran the door, if this was a weekend they would have sold the place out.

Alot of people were very surprised at how much the band has grown. I heard it all last night. I even had to say I told you so to just about every one of my friends that did show.

Charles of the Oxnard crew and ChrisF videotaped the whole thing which is good because Wayne may have lost the 1st set w/ Gia singing and all. :(
Escher\'s >Intension was a great way to start the show. Intension is a big hit with people. Gravity>OBM>Gravity was so freakin\' good I cannot believe it. Oh man!!
White Rabbit I was in tears. \'nuff said.
Love Lake was a hit w/ the hippies and my first Merge was awesome going into Taboot. Language w/ The BP drummer was alright. Nothing special. I mean it was cool to see but they did not "go anywhere" really because of the sit in. Adrian did sit the song out.
GLADYS WAS SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall a very successful show and a great way to end the Cali leg of the tour for sure.
AZ here we come.

Oh and Greg just fuckin\' killed it on lights in there. I told him the club is very conducive to good light shows and he brought it.

The best lightshow I have seen him do w/ his equipment and regular club pars! Point blank he nailed it last night!!!!!!

Fitzy likes to put that camera right in TPalms mug all night.

Oh well, nothing is ever perfect, hopefully a video will be released of the "White Rabbit", especially if it can bring a tear to the eye.

First, I told Adrian last night how much you all missed them. I told him the board is pretty active w/ people waiting for them to come back. He said they were excited for the homecoming show and the shows following.
If you guys do not sell out that little tiny place yeah The Breakfast should move ;)

Second, Duane :finger:
For as much shit as I gave the kid I think I can go alittle over board in praising him when he does a good job.
We have had a blast together making fun of the shit some clubs have had and despite what all you think we are actually good friends. Friends can take and give shit that\'s how it is.
Notice I have not praised every show only the ones were he merited praise. He is no longer really practicing on stage so all the shit I got for my posts was totally worth the show I got last night.
Oh and Duane you know a ;) goes w/ that finger.

I support your "Tour, Tour, TOUR!" or was it "Play, Play, Play" proposition 100%.

I would rather see them on the road then out here. I was telling Gencs that the longer they stay away from CT the better. It will force most of our lazy asses who have been spoiled by hometown runs to get out there on the road. The more that people at these shows see a hometown crowd following the band the more people will join in.

Create the atmosphere and they will come.

Another setlist change is White Rabbit>Jam>The Vermont Song. After Gia was done w/ the verses. She walked off the stage and the band kept jamming, they left the White Rabbit theme and just jammed for awhile and Vt. Song emerged from that.

As for what Spacey said about hometown crowd following etc. He is so right.

I have had so many people asking me where I am from back east and the looks of amazement when I say San Diego.
They are like "huh? you know all the songs and shit though."

The little group of us that have been up front every show has def. incited some folk to get into the show as has been noted by alZ.
The crowd only sees these few nuts up front getting all excited for certain songs and the band all stoked on us etc.

It shows the band is worth touring with. I have seen a few people buy tickets because they figured if people are touring w/ them they must be worth checking out. really I saw it in  San Fran, Santa Monica, and San Diego.

No doubt in my mind the next trip HAS to have more heads on tour. It HAS to!

considering they "put on" the shows in S.F., and that the turnouts were pretty deece, let alone the energy (which is hard to put a finger on the specifics :) )I def. see this happening.. throughout a lot of the cali shows, I remember constantly overhearing- "Haven\'t seen this guys since High Sierra- where they been??" and "these guys are playing high sierra, right??" and other phrases to that effect

I\'m also talking about playing all the time around the NE when not on a national tour.  It really is time to put the women and children to bed and go looking for FUCKING DINNER!!!  Residencies, monthly gigs, etc.  One TT show a week if that and the rest Breakfast, BABY!!!  I still say I will be Ad\'s drum tech and help him lug all that extra equipment around to get that acoustic setup on the road for B\'fast shows and not just BB\'s.

I could tell that he\'s a narly drummer.  The band ended the song a little earlier than usual to accomodate the guest (who probably isn\'t familiar with Breakfast tunes).

I am a major fan of Giavanna Kersulis sitins!!  We got to hear a glimpse of her talents the night before at a Breakfast barbecue (and subsequent acoustic jam) hosted by the Kersulis family.  Mr. Kersulis playing guitar with T.Palms/Ron/Jordan/Adrian was also a treat!!

Winston\'s reminded me of the club room at Pearl Street.

^ White Rabbit must\'ve been incredible!!!  I heard this @ one of the Porter\'s shows with Meg Johnson sitting in - they play it very well, and she\'s gotta have killer vocals to sing a Gracie song :)  I\'m hoping to hear a recording of this show sometime soon...
