Great show tonight. Crowd was better than I expected! Stevie....10 demerits to you for not trying the wings from the Hangar!!! :sigh: After all that hububb! Dave risked his life all night saving those leftovers for you, GUY!!!!! Anywho, glad you didn\'t eat them...they were a great little late night snack for the lucky few of us! Made me wish even more that I had made it there for dinner.

can someone explain what an inverted gravity is?

jam>end of song>begining of song? jam>begining of song? something else?

think of the standard Gravity split when sandwiched, and reverse it..

so jam > end of song; ATSD > beginning of song..

I had a great time last night, thanks to all in attendance. I\'ve never been to the Iron Horse before, real nice little venue, i think it was a real good crowd, a ton of kids... well i call them kids because to me they all look 16 but i guess that\'s what a couple years will do to you. I give props to Spacey 2 notes in he turns to me and said Space Oddity. "I can name that tune in..... 2 notes". I hope you guys made it home all right. to those of you who did not go.... BOOO to you. it was a 2 hour ride for me and i still got home at 2:30. Great show, great people and shananagains what more can you ask for. Great job EllisD, it turned out better than i expected given the circumstances and all.

i knew it was gravity jam from the very beginning. its pretty obvious if you listen to it. by the way, this gravity was inverted and uninished. it was gravity jam > gravity pt 2. they skipped the "with a liquid brain of zen...gravity is my friend" part and later played part one leaving the song unfinished.

this show was nuts.  inverted gravity and escher\'s was unreal.  they are really being able to do some insane things with their songs.  pick em apart and put em back together all mixed up.  it makes the show really interesting.  the mooboo\'s jam that is usually a slow spacey jam had nothing of the sort. it was really hard rockin.  tim\'s strat sounds AWESOME, and he even got another guitar donated to him before the show.

the strat is the way to go.  i started my musical career with a strat and have since strayed and tried everything from epiphone and ibanez to paul reed smith and i\'ve found my way back to the strat and i couldn\'t be happier.

Are there other jambands that slice and shuffle their songs?

Glad to hear that the Iron Horse was well attended.

Did It seem like there was a reasonable percentage of college kids?

I was just cursing myself out for not being "able" to eat those damn wings....  Ugh.  Very unveteran move.  Thanks for the attempt Dave, and I am glad that they didnt go to waste.....

The show was good.  Who started the 2am curfew rumor?  JERK!  That shit was over at like 12:30.....  It would be nice to eventually get a Breakfast double dip (Early Show/Late Show) at the Iron Horse.  That seems to be the only way to get 2 sets there...

Save Spears ruled the night for me.  He was shaking the walls from the very beginning and held that shit together for the rest of the evening.  He was adding tasty fills and throwing ser basslines out at us all night...

I thought there was another opportunity for them to bust out a new tune.  The crowd was into it from jump street, and Fresh Cut > new song is the way I have been feeling it would come.  I dont know why but I felt that at moe.down as well as last night...  The best was when Timmy said they were going to play Fresh Cut and you can probably hear it on the recording but Bezerker lets out this upset sigh, basically a half hearted boo....

For me, the highlight had to be Ep2.  The shit they were doing in the jam was the best rock and roll jamming I have heard out of this band to date....

Thanks to Walshy and Co. for the ride and all the laughs....
Thanks to Whathefunk for letting the toaster on wheels pop over to his spot and allowing wook and mad mahoney, spacey, moe, and me to come pregame.....

I had the Space-cam for the better part of the evening and got some great shots of the crowd and the band.  There was this one wook looking bearded kid, who at the beginning of the show came up to me and told me to go tell them to turn up the vocals.  I just looked at him cockeyed and said, "sure".  I walked over to Dobz to let him know, well basically to see what his reaction would be, and as I figured it was a notion to his groin area....  Then that bearded wook (not walsh), later in the show tried to grab the Space-cam out of my hand.  I did manage to get a great shot of this kid trying to grab it.........

Good times indeed
See you in Troy...

What a night! Just barely made it home alive... i was so tired. Two nights of staying out after 3am does not help to get rid of a cold... in case anyone was wondering.

Tim played the shit out of his new strat. And to top that off, someone just gave him another guitar at the beginning of the show. Looks like these guys are finally starting to get lucky with their instruments.

Good crowd last night. A couple of my youngster friends (<21) came up from Uconn to check out the show. They brought two car fulls of people with them. All except two just experienced their first B\'fast show last night. They are hooked. I love it.

Gravity jam opener wasn\'t all that tough to recognize... it\'s one of my favorite jams. Bezerker and I had a moment of revelation early on... it was awesome. They set the tone for the whole show right from the start... I knew we were getting a Mooboo\'s later. And lo and behold... they slammed us with it to close out the set. It was a little different than normal... totally rocking the whole way through. That song just puts me in an elevated state of mind. Then the "birdmask" encore return?!? Cool shit...

plenty.  epiphone makes a damn good guitar when they want to.  and i am most certainly a snob (i have owned paul reed smiths, and i only use vintage blackface fender amps), but i will admit that for the price, you can\'t really go wrong with a well made epiphone.  i mean it depends what model you go for but many of their instruments are very solid.

edit: the only major noticable difference between an epi and a gibson is the name on the headstock...

i mean for a band that is used to getting their equipment taken away, its nice to see that maybe things are starting to swing the other way......

where to begin?!? well first off it is safe to say that the Iron Horse is an official spot where the shit constantly hits the fan.. the opening jam before Gravity was  nutty and the inversion was performed fuckin beautifully. Space Oddity>Shade Ditty was the tits!! the first peak in ditty had me bouncing around the bar waiting for drinks and the place went pretty nutso for the Bowie tune..back into Gravity like water.  Early in the evening a younger kid asked TPalms outside the Iron Horse if they\'d play May Fly and Timmy said he would but he forgot it.. that d00d prolly was psyched.  Peeps were feeling the mayfly/get up stand up teases.. sick dancehall/ragamuffin type jam brought out the fr33k in all the fly little honeys it was quite a nice scene.. great show from start to finish and it was one of those nights were the whole room seemed to be glowing.. always a pleasure seeing everyone. until next time..

nice recap Gabe....Great to see you.....

another classic moment was post show as the band was loading up the trailer, I was braking Ellis\' balls about his busted lights...Then Ronnie was breaking his balls about how Ellis was just sitting drinking a beer while the entire band was loading out..... Ronnie stated, "Bezerker has been doing more work than you"....and Ellis then hands half of his perdiem to Gavin.....Classic Ellis Ball Busting Moment....and there have been many...

Older Epiphone guitars ....before Gibson bought the company, were amazing guitars.

A small european band called The Beatles used many Epiphones....notably the Shreaton hollow body which was simliar to a Gibson ES335.

the iron horse show was fucking sick, but rev hall owned the weekend in my opinion....

the iron horse is a sick venue, but rev hall is a sicker venue...

when they play an early and late show at the iron horse, then we can talk.  untill then i dont think a one setter will could ever be better than a two setter.  and the fact that there were 2 of the best sit in\'s in the history of the band at rev hall, plus a mommy encore puts rev hall at the top for me for the weekend....

regarding last night....how was the 2001 compared to porters last month?

honestly, i dont think ive been "schooled" on the guitar issue. When i was 15 i was in a band with a kid who had a very similar epiphone (probably the same model), and it gave him nothing but problems. i definitely think it was great for the guy to give him a guitar, especially after all hes been through, but i just dont know if id call it ser. im sure timmy can still play the hell out of it, and itll serve as a good backup, but i hope he sticks with that strat.
