There is 2 months to get the word out. There is no reason not to have near capcity on the boat.

Power Outages shouldn\'t happen. I know they do, but they shouldn\'t. And all I am saying is, I don\'t want to waste 15 minutes of wondering if they are ever going to get it fixed. Just take ALL proper procedures to avoid an outage.

i went and saw Badfish the day after the Breakfast boat cruz and they did one set, i was taking pics and looked out and was like we\'re pulling back into port WTF.... glad i didn\'t have to pay to get in but i still had to drive 6+hrs. total there and back

not trying to be high and mighty but I think sometimes people expect to much from these guys, yes they are great musicians, yes they play incredible music, but sometimes people think they are superman or something, people get tired you can\'t say there\'s no excuse for it........

well the first 1 was pretty fun. The last 1 i did for DBB a few weeks ago was oK but being on the boat for 3+ hours messsed me up. I guess I would call it sea legs but I kept feeling like i was losing my balance many hours later. Also there is this security guy who works all of them who is pretty much a dick (the rest of them seemed pretty chill). Kyle had a run in with him at DBB.
But the venue has just lost its luster for me.

as for a hotel, you\'re only about an hour fifteen/thirty away from gore once you get past dc, and there\'s not much cheap between here and there until you get to winchester, which is about 15/20 from gore. a highway hotel north of baltimore will probably be your cheapest bet. besides crashing here, of course! :)

I can\'t wait for this. Last year was a lot of fun once the show got going. The view was great and the crowd was pumped. Not a huge crowd but high spirited.
kindm\'s, sorry to hear you won\'t be there. Security is definitely a bitch getting on the boat. The pocket-search/package-fondle is in full effect. Good money could be made running a bag-check at the dock.

Last year right after the TOT there was a Porters show where they played a bunch of songs from the tournament. Well this one is the most "local" show after the tourney ends so it should be something similiar.

just read the piece of info on .net, it says their playing the top floor as opposed to the bottom floor like last year, is it the same boat or a different one?

its not the same boat but its still the smaller boat.
last year was scheduled for the Half Moon then it broke down and they needed to change to the Cabaret, which is also the small boat.

I have never heard of the security being chill. I\'ve always heard of them as being quick to anger/confuse.
The search last year was all about looking for pipes and bags. Roll a couple joints and put them in your pocket with your change etc. if you don\'t have the physique to pull off Spacey\'s move.
I seem to remember the beer selection being something like Coors, bud/light, pbr?, corona, heineken, bass?

When your on a boat you have to wait for it to dock before you can leave. No chance of jumping in the car after the 1st set. Add to that I start at 4am, so I\'d have to be on the road from nyc no later than 1:30 (and that\'s without going home to shower taboot) or I\'ll end up going to court at 8:30 in the morning some day like someone else I know. ;)
