Thanks Chris!!

Wow, the bass is so crystal clear.. I\'ve never heard the mix so PERFECT!!!

World Needs Us is a beautiful composition.  I can\'t wait to hear its evolution....  Damn, just blown away. To whoever said it sounded like an 80\'s cheesy metal ballad, dude... c\'mon.. This is solid songwriting. Matt it rocks man. Keep up those complicated jazz changes!!

ive gotten through a good portion of the first set so far, chris sounds really really solid.  hes nailing all the important parts in TFA and inner glimpse perfectly and never loses time.  Very promising.  My biggest concern was if he was not going to able to stay on time with all the nutty changes this band has in their originals, but hes rolling through them with FLYING COLORS, go chris!

dude, matt needs to cool it on "$50 casio keyboard" style latin percussion he throws into the jam portion of his new song.  it just sounds stupid.  the jam is very good otherwise.

i like the new tune. the chorus is a little billy joely, but with a little moreplaying this tune could become really cool

adrian is a beast in the jam of this tune

yea i just listened. I liked the composed part a lot and the jam was fierce but the singing was pretty oof. I\'d like to see the lyrics though which might redeem the vocals to some degree.

I don\'t think the vocals are that bad. I like Matt\'s voice, I feel he has greatly improved since the freakout. I just couldn\'t hear him as much as I would have wanted. I don\'t know if this is because he wasn\'t turned up enough in the mix, or if he was just not singing loud enough or close enough to the mic.

Thanks for this, chris. Only listened to a couple of tunes so far and yes, Chris does seem to fit in very well - nicejams in the new song - very 70s prog to my ears.

It\'s on Back In the Day- the Best Of. It\'s not a Bootsy tune in the context of his solo career, but rather a song he composed back when he was with JB....

Anyone experience any oddities in the recording?  I know someone noted it was a bit bassy... but I seem to be getting distortions here and there throughout the entire show.  Is it on the master as well... or is there something just Fncked with my computer?

Sounds pretty damn good to me, though there does seem to be some very slight distortions in Tim\'s vocal mike eg in Sex Machine at 08:20 - fault of the PA, not the recording - and it\'s not too off-putting.

Thanks again, Chris for the recording and to the band, you definitely seem to have found a worthy successor to Ron. Am going to enjoy this in the car over the next few days (only place where I can crank it up these days).

BTW, love sulldc\'s comment on etree:

"Excellent recording, excellent show....except for the fucking asshole whistling every 2 seconds throughout every fucking song. Someone should have punched that kid in the face... he was obnoxious during the show while i was standing next to him and now he haunts me on these recordings.... he just wont stop... does he think he\'s part of the band? My ears are fucking killing me. So anoying..."

Do we have anyone owning up? ;)

so is it safe to say that the bass levels are a good representation of what they were at the show?

To me they don\'t sound too high or distorted.

Just SUPER full and hot and tasty like they should be.

D-Man and dobs are a match made in heaven.

No?

you know I\'m talkin bout ules ;)

I actually almost put that same comment about tgsot in my last post too

sounded like "wheeeerreeeesss steeeeeveeen geeeeennncs" to me.

annoying but somehow endearing as well.

but really I think its time to start to start making a conscious effort to limit the mid song fan chatter and bring back the hilarious tpalms stage banter which has been severely lacking!
