tix actually aren\'t onsale yet, they\'ve just announced the dates.

and i have no idea who\'s playing. based on the progression thus far, this year should be all hipster/emo/techno/country acts, plus panic.

I thought the bill was really well balanced last year.  Sure the headliners were mainstream- they are, after all, HEADLINERS.  Every genre I could think of was well represented, and with 5 stages going at once, you were bound to find something.  More often than not, the problem was 2 acts worth seeing on at the same time.  Good problem to have.  I\'d def consider a return this year.  I\'d even behave myself.

i\'ll be there most likely for my fifth year in a row.  if any of you guys recall, I went last year with my friends from the band The Postelles who were on the bill and hooked me up big time..(ended up meeting/having dinner with Eddie Vedder, met Derek Trucks, was on the stage for most of acts at the festival).

i\'m hoping Phish plays this year as i\'ll be getting a free ticket and will most likely be there.  for anyone on the fence about going to bonnaroo, i\'ve been to a fair amount of festivals now and none really compare to it (for what it is).  for the past two or three years i think it\'s been the premiere festival in America and I hope to maybe see some of you there.

oh...and i really hope the breakfast would play.

this coming from the dude who "(ended up meeting/having dinner with Eddie Vedder, met Derek Trucks, was on the stage for most of acts at the festival)." and gets a free ticket.  i esp. wont be there if phish plays.  talk about a cluster fuck

poophead, i think it\'s a cluster fuck whether phish plays or not.  bonnaroo has had the biggest acts in the world play the last few years- Phish and their selective audience won\'t effect the crowd size, methinks.

uh, peaches, phish can draw a crowd of the same size as the entire festival. that seems like quite an affect, doubling the corwd size and all. and its for exactly that reason that i can\'t imagine phish will ever play bonnaroo. they can have their own fest.

A 200,000 person festival would be balls crazy.

...in a bad way

jking, i def do not think phish will double the size of bonnaroo, especially considering that plenty of people that go to bonnaroo are already people that would go to a phish festival and vice versa...

If pearl jam and metallica and radiohead can play bonnaroo, i don\'t see why it wouldn\'t be possible for phish to be there... in fact, I imagine it would be a sweet easy gig for them- load in, rage, load out, huge festival crowd, no chance of a coventry disaster on their hands...

but truthfully, it doesn\'t matter to me either way- i probably won\'t be there regardless.

but none of those bands you mentioned have seriously traveling fanbases. therein lies the difference. you put "phish" and "festival" in the same sentence, and you\'re automatically guaranteed an extra 50k kidz. easily.

but you\'re right, i won\'t be there either way, so i don\'t really care...

I drove down in 2004. It was actually kind of fun. I was with a good friend, we had a hotel room we were sharing with others for showering and clean up but we camped out as well.

We drove straight to the hotel. took a shower and got in line to get in to the festival. When we left we went to the hotel slept and left the next day.

I will say this. This festival is not for the faint of heart. The sheer size of the camping venue is massive and you could be a 20 - 30 minute walk from centeroo. We got lucky as we were camped pretty close to the main stage but HOLY SHYTE were some folks camped WAYYYY out there. I couldn\'t imaging having to walk that far in the Tenn. heat of June. It was bad enough being camped where we were, lugging 60lbs of taping EQ everywhere.

BUT...... For the quality of the sound systems and the side stages ( I love those permanent sheds they have) it really cannot be beat. I haven\'t done any of the big west coast festivals so not sure how they compare but Bonnaroo was top notch from a technical perspective. It really is music overload but in a good way. I was taping JoJo and walked out and got a lemonade and strolled over to catch a little Ani Defranco. Pretty cool to be able to do that kind of stuff and I have only experienced that at roo.

I will probably never go back as we did run in to some hassles there but they were taping related so it wouldn\'t effect the regular concert goer.

It seems to be well run but the sheer size, travel distance, cost, and heat and humidity was enough to stick closer to home.

kindm\'s i totally agree- i went in \'05 and it was an awesome experience and a great trip.  and my camping area had to be over a mile away from where all the music was.

for the people who say the lineup is crap (and there are people every year)- there is NO WAY you have seen or heard every band that is at Bonnaroo, you are bound to see some shit you\'ve never ever experienced before

It would take something serious to get me there again though- there is just soooo much involved in pullin it off right, and there are so many good festivals waaay closer

bonnaroo \'05 i found a 100 dollar bill on the ground right next to my car.  i picked it up and held onto for all three days of the festival, waiting for someone around our campsite to ask about a missing hundo.  never happened, so that paid for our gas on the way home...

The economy would certainly make the above make sense. If Bonnaroo was worried about making $$ in a down economy Phish would be a guaranteed money maker. The venue would also allow a ton of people to catch Phish in June before a major summer tour. They also have the logistics figured out there so traffic and the other stuff would fall to non-phish people and they could focus on their stuff and not all the other hassles of throwing a festival.

also a single night of phish doesn\'t compare to a full phish festival.

Bonnaroo is huge, expensive, and far away.  I haven\'t been since \'06 and don\'t plan on heading back.  Just adding up the expense and hassle i would rather follow the breakfast for a large run.  2246 miles and 200 dollar tix = a lot of shows.  I also heard that there were lots of shitty/bunk designer chemicals at the \'roo last year.

Phish should hold their own festival. If they are doing Bonnaroo I will be dissapointed because theres no way I\'m driving 20 hours (without traffic) to custieroo 09 whether Phish is playing or not.

Then again if they wanna play Roo early in a full tour that\'s fine. Consider it practice for a real tour.

But hey now that Sequoia is back all my eggs aren\'t in 1 basket.

Right now Phish could probably sell 100,000 tix without even revealing the location of the festival.

However, Bonnaroo needs to be careful not to shoot themselves in the foot.  I\'d say 95% of concert goers don\'t give a damn about Phish.  They\'d cash in this year, but risk of alienating their future audience.

One thing to keep in mind here that you might not realize is that the people who founded superfly productions and bonnaroo are old school baller phish heads who know the band and are the same people who originally master minded and organized the early phish festivals.  The two parties have a long history of working together and throwing some amazing events.

So I am sure they at least asked the band to make an appearance and that the boys would at least consider it as a hat tip sort of thing if nothing else. Also they have all played at roo with various bands so they are no stranger to the scene and the sit ins and all the great tunes and I think they would be into it.  I think it is gonna happen and its gonna be a total mob scene and I might even be there. we shall see though.

I\'m going to try to get tix, if it sells out and someone is empty handed I\'ll sell it for $1 over face value. Gotta make some profit. ;)

Not that I\'m saying we need to keep music separated by genre, but I officially have no idea what the target demographic is for this fest.

Pretty easy:
-white
-middle income
-Age 18-45

95% of the attendees will fit all 3 of those, per usual.

Anyways...I love the concept of Phish at Bonnaroo and I give them props for trying...but I have a bad feeling about it.  I want no piece of this festival.  I just think we\'re overdue for something really bad to happen at one of these festivals or a Phish show.  Kinda like some of the Dead riots.  Or even if it\'s not terrible it will at least be very uncomfortable to be there.  Too many people are gonna try to get into Bonnaroo.  They\'re not gonna be able to handle it.  I had the same feeling about Coventry and I was right.  Sorry for the ominous prediction, I hope I\'m wrong and I wish everyone who\'s going a great time!

I\'ve noticed a lot of Phish fans are less than excited for Bonnaroo, and despite the demand for Phish tix the festival is not sold out. Then on Friday night at PFunk I ran into a wookie friend who is outright furious about the Roo situation.  He\'s shut of tickets, but refused to go to Bonnaroo.  Normally happy-go lucky (the kids sells crystal for crying out loud) he was down right angry at Phish and Bonnaroo.  He was too spun to explain his reasoning, and said something about Superfly, and Widespread, and essentially made it out like WSP is Phish\'s mortal enemy, and supporting Superfly would be sacrilige.

None of this made any sense to me.  Any Phish fans passing on Bonnaroo care to share why?  I\'m not looking to argue this, your choice is your own. I just don\'t get it.

If I didn\'t have summer school I\'d definitely be there. Phish at Bonnaroo would be fucking sick. The whole line up is nasty. Anyone who is "furious" definitely needs to do some explaining.

Here is the simple answer.

I don\'t give two flying fucks about any other band at Bonnaroo then Phish.

I want to see Phish and no one else, so I\'ll bypass the $250 ticket, bitch about not getting any shows on the tour and wait for them to host there own fucking festival which they are so extremely capable of doing.

I think that\'ll sum it up.

NOTE: These are not entirely my feelings on said situation.

I think you\'re right.  It just surprises me that people could look at that line up and see it as a minus, when from my pov it\'s such an huge plus.  Eh. :shrugs:

unfortunately, i can probably only afford to take one good long weekend off to see some shows this summer and my option of seeing three phish shows in a row trumps bonnaroo right now.  this all things being considered (cost, travel, road crew, scheduling etc.... )

I\'m anal about this shit and I can still find at least a half a dozen shows on the bill I\'d like to see...

- Bruce Springsteen
- Phish (2 shows)
- Beastie Boys
- Nine Inch Nails
- Wilco
- Al Green
- Elvis Costello
- Ben Harper

If this wasn\'t in Tennessee, I\'d really give it some serious consideration.  It\'s not like your paying for the name and the line up is a bunch of jam bands that no one has ever heard of.  There\'s more music out there than Phish...

What did all you Phish faithful listen to during the hiatus and after Coventry when Phish said that they had played their last show .  Did you give up on music entirely?  I\'m betting you didn\'t because you\'re on this board talking about The Breakfast, which proves my point that there\'s good music out there other than Phish.  I like Phish, but won\'t make it or any band my life...

that\'s a pretty negative way of looking at things. i doubt there are going to be many, if any riots at all at bonnaroo this year.  every year everyone seems so happy to be part of such an event. i definitely don\'t share your views on something \'really bad\' definitely happening at roo, and i\'d imagine/hope the same goes for all the phish shows coming up. june can\'t come soon enough.

That is partly true wacky as it may seem. That and the fact that Languedoc is out lead many to wonder if this attempt will be as half assed as the last one.

To many it just seems Phish doesn\'t "care" enough about the phans like they used to. Basically deciding to be a part of the \'Roo for the pure fact that all they have to do is show up.

They have said putting on the fests is hard work and they just don\'t feel like putting that effort in right now which pisses people off.

Their effort should be going into the music.  They\'ve seen the Roo from solo projects, and I\'m sure they noticed it\'s run better than the Phish festivals.  The Roo people have the logistical side of it down.

As for the Languedoc-  why the absence?

I was just saying yesterday I liked Phish better when they were a band, not a way of life.  When going to a show didn\'t require months of planning and all the fans didn\'t take everything they did so damn seriously.

I\'d love to make it to a Bonnaroo, esp. to see DOWN, a totally unexpected addition---  pure metal-southern rockin\' machine! (and to see Phil Anselmo tearing up the vocals)

amirite or does it seem that the crowd can be schwilly or wook-like to the point of having to lock your stuff in a car if you just want to go pee or venture out for a bit? I\'ve been to some fests like that and it creeps me out. Is Roo like that???

One of the best smaller fests was Spring Fling (5 years back) with PB and PB @ Secluded Forest Fest.. Turkey Bouillon Mafia-wakeup style!

OK, actually, i just texted him and he says it\'s a little over 200 NOT w/ ticket. (i swear he told me w/ ticket at the time, which i figured was too good to be true....) whatever tho. still, a little over 200 for travel and place to sleep in RV sounds pretty good.

it\'s not likely. i\'ll be taping TMV, which ends at 8:45. i don\'t see myself being in any kind of hurry to get to bruce, and plus i\'ll probably want to get back for nin at a decent time. i\'m sure there will be plenty of people taping though.

Definitely... Worth a shot... I hope that drains the tank on 5/23 and doesn\'t hold back all the surprises for Bonnaroo...

Beasties and Byrne head to head.

sounds awesome! seeing byrne at bonnaroo 5 years ago was like a religious experience. he is really something else. agh i wish i could go to this!!!!

why the hell can\'t there be anything else going on during bruce?! it would probably help with the brutal conflicts before (wilco/the mars volta/of montreal) and after (nin/moe/mgmt).

that\'s pretty ugly. i\'m loving the 2am girl talk though.

So, I guess then there\'s no chance of you taping Bruce?

I\'m not going, but wanted to peak at the line up.  Thursday looks like shit and Sunday would be the same if Phish wasn\'t playing.

If I was there, I would see the following:

Thursday - nothing
Friday - Galactica, Al Green, Beastie Boys & Phish
Saturday - Gov\'t Mule, Elvis Costello, Bruce & NIN
Sunday - Ted Leo, Merle Haggard & Phish

It just seems to me that they could have avoided all these scheduling conflicts if they scheduled some of the heavy hitters for Thursday and Sunday...

i\'m excited for Janelle Monae on Thursday. she was great opening for of Montreal last month.

Friday has a lot of bands that i\'ve heard of, but never actually heard. i\'ll definitely be doing some sampling in the next month to decide where i\'ll be, but Lucinda Williams, David Byrne, Phish, and Girl Talk are looking good right now.

i feel bad because i missed them at Lollapalooza last year too, but i\'ll probably skip Wilco all together on Saturday because i have tickets to see them in Brooklyn in July. Bon Iver, of Montreal, The Mars Volta, and NiN. i\'ll catch the end of either moe. or MGMT, depending on which is closer, to close out the night.

i don\'t like the Snoop/Coheed conflict on Sunday, but i\'m leaning towards Coheed. will probably catch a bit of Citizen Cope before heading to Erykah Badu, and of course, Phish to close it out.

based on my 2004 bonnaroo, i know planning a schedule is pretty much a waste of time, but if it had to....

Thursday is traditionally somewhat of a throw away day because everyone is setting up camp and tired from driving.

Friday Al Green, Beasties, Phish, Girl Talk

Saturday Allen Toussaint, Wilco, the Boss, NIN>MGMT

Sunday Ms. Badu, Merle Haggard, Band of Horses, Phish

If i\'m in the right places at the right time, Id also like to catch at least some of Elvis costello, snoop, of montreal, TV on the radio, galactic, and David Byrne.

Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter are the only priority for the comedy tent which i didn\'t make it too last time around.

While we\'re here, it\'s time to say it:

Bonnaroo 2009 is the best lineup of any festival in history.  It\'s not even close.  Woodstock \'69 is the only festival that can even enter the conversation here.

Can\'t he live while he is young?

Unless I had a scholarship to play for I would skip it too. High School is so insignificant, imo, in TGSOT that it doesn\'t matter.

That is funny though. Jerk left his team hanging.

Billboards Top 10 Bonnaroo Moments

10. The Beastie Boys show some New York love by bringing out fellow city MC Nas for a run through "Too Many Rappers" from the Boys\' upcoming "Hot Sauce Committee."

9. MGMT\'s ecstatic brand of psychedelic pop draws immense crowds to That Tent for a late-night set on Saturday. Thousands sweat, shake and shout along to "Electric Feel" at 3 a.m.

8. Wilco guitarist Nels Cline sends numerous songs into exultant territory as the sun moves low on the pre-Bruce Saturday night. The band\'s three-guitar, roots-group-gone-to-outer-space setup shines on intricate, emotional compositions like "Impossible Germany."

7. The Rev. Al Green, 63, shines on the main stage with shimmering versions of classics "Let\'s Stay Together" and "Here I Am," but he drives his voices into those crazy lovely upper registers on "Lay It Down" and floors the crowd, working up a sweat and giving out roses.

6. Warren Haynes, who is a member of 75% of all jam bands currently operating in America, drives his Gov\'t Mule through a fiesta of Saturday afternoon covers, including "Helter Skelter," Radiohead\'s "Creep," "Southern Man" with the magnificently-voiced Grace Potter, and a gorgeous take on U2\'s "One."

5. A tutu-sporting David Byrne dives in to a series of interpretive dance routines with his company of white-clad backup dancers, reprising the "big suit" moment from "Stop Making Sense" and grooving through a trio of songs from seminal Talking Heads album "Remain in Light."

4. The Drive-By Truckers back southern soul man Booker T. Jones on a three-song blast of Patterson Hood\'s ***** Hatchet-referencing autobiography "Let There Be Rock," a Jones-powered cover of "Hey Ya" that got the sweaty crowd sweatier and a ramshackle-train run through "I Can\'t Turn You Loose" that added up to a sprawling yet complete trifecta of Southern rock.

3. What began as a performance by Ilo and the Coral Reefer All-Stars turned into half of a full-on Jimmy Buffett performance, with the head Parrothead delivering "Margaritaville," "Fins," "A Pirate Looks at 40" and more to a noontime crowd on Saturday, certainly well earlier than Buffett\'s used to taking stages. For his part, the young Cape Verde native Ilo -- who 48 hours prior to the festival was still in customs, unsure if he could get to America -- proved a worthy sidekick, delivering three songs of gently rolling world music-infused pop-rock.

2. Nine Inch Nails\' Trent Reznor announces during his band\'s post-Bruce slot that the Bonnaroo appearance would be his band\'s last U.S. show ever. Reznor thanks the crowd "for all the years" but is, unsurprisingly, not forthcoming with any further details.

1. The megapowers collide: Bruce Springsteen joins Phish on Sunday night for a three-song surprise set of "Mustang Sally" and Springsteen\'s own "Bobby Jean" and "Glory Days," the latter song\'s second What Stage performance in two nights. Springsteen lays down the groundwork; Trey Anastasio doodles circles and designs over the top. Unprecedented, and not to be forgotten.

I am not one for reviews, but I had a blast this weekend. I enjoyed the whole experience, although I can say my body has/did not. Tennessee in June is just way too hot for this guy. I also recommend not starting to drink and party at 6:30am, you may just end up getting a haircut next to a trash can by some random person with a pair of regular scissors (although she did do a helluva job considering she was not a hairdresser).

To counter your bruce comment, all of his shows go to around 11 and I\'m pretty sure that he played until midnight on saturday...

As for you rather Hood as an encore than Suz/Tweeprise, that\'s your call...  But statistically, they\'ve both been played 25 times as an encore, so it\'s a toss up.  As for Tweeprize, it\'s been an encore 99 times, so I\'m pretty sure that was a well placed song...  And for those that say it\'s only played as an encore, sorry:

1st Set - 14 times
Set Opener - 2 times
Middle of set - 3 times
Set Closer - 9 times

2nd Set - 75 times
Set Opener - 1 time
Middle of set - 6 times
Set Closer - 68 times

3rd Set - 3 times
Set Opener - 0 times
Middle of set - 1 time
Set Closer - 2 times

Bottom line is that I guess you don\'t like Suzy...

i thought that phish\'s sets were overall very underwhelming.

thanks to my keen ear, we caught most of phish\'s soundcheck on thursday afternoon. i think i enjoyed that more than their actual shows at the roo.

my weekend highlight was the mars volta.

RV is a must if i ever do this again. heat + 6am drinking after 2 days of no sleep is not a good combo.

bruce arrived via helicopter at 8pm before his set saturday night. they closed down a good portion of the surrounding area in order for that to happen. i\'m sure he didn\'t want to be bothered with crowds of people at the very end of the festival.

couldn\'t have asked for a better roo crew. love you guys. had an amazing time, despite feeling like death through most of it.

Completely agree.  While I have never been to \'Roo, I have heard many horror stories about the heat and rain.  THis is my new philosophy for any festival I choose to do from here on out (maybe with the exception of a Phish fest).  The plan this year was to do Camp Bisco in a RV (which is very reasonable when split between 6-8 people).  Things fell through financially after Phish announced their tour, but this is the gameplan for next year\'s Camp (even though this year\'s hasn\'t happened yet).

As much as I love festivals, after 2 or 3 nights of drinking, party favors, and uncomfortable sleeping (not to mention the weather/heat/rain), the last day you are barely able to stand...and you are completely dead to the world for the 1 or 2 days after the festival.  I can only imagine what it would be like to be able to sleep past 9am when the sun normally would come in your tent, or be able to drink a beer in the comfort of the AC inside an RV.

This is a big reason I will only be doing Saturday Camp Bisco this year and not the whole weekend.

Best comment from Jambase so far:

How about this from jambase...  There were just as many positive posts as negative posts, so get off it...

Ok first of all....in an interview with Trey from the 90s he said that the greatest musical performance he ever saw was Bruce performing Rosalita in Jersey. Bruce is 60 and tours consistently playing 3 hour shows night after night. In his prime he was often playing 7 hour shows. Listen to versions of Kitty\'s Back in Town, there\'s some rediculous 30 min. jams. Sure he has his share of stuff thats not the greatest and I think his Bonnaroo set was weak and he missed an opportunity to play some of his more jam oriented songs, but he\'s still one of the greatest musicians of all time and he\'s constantly trying new things. His seeger sessions band was a 15 piece jug band and was awesome and his 3 acoustic albums are some of the best songwriting you\'ll ever hear. You gotta respect the boss, and if you dig a little past his mainstream hits, there\'s some incredible music. Keep an open mind kids, sure Phish is great, but there\'s alot of great music out there that inspired what you\'re listening to, and the boss is one of trey\'s biggest influences.

Yeah I read that one too. It wasn\'t nearly as funny and made me think whoever wrote it needs to lay out their panties on an ironing board.

Just because Trey likes something doesn\'t mean I have to give a rat\'s ass about it. From what I\'ve gathered Trey seems to enjoy a lot of weak sauce and his guests are almost always bunk. I do enjoy me some good Phish though.

Have you ever listened to Bruce beyond what you\'ve heard on the radio?  You talk about being open minded in other threads, yet you sound pretty close minded on this topic...

We\'ve been over this before dude. Yes I\'ve listened to like the entire Bruce Springsteen collection ad nauseum. My ex-girlfriend couldn\'t get enough of the stuff.

I don\'t think he is *bad*, actually I think he is rather good but also totally overrated by fanboys who -- for reasons beyond my comprehension -- will go out of their way to defend the guy in bold text on the interwebz when all I did was reference a funny quote.

If it really matters to you that much, I respect the guy, think some of his material is good and some of it sucks. I respect him a lot more for his politics and pushing for positive social change than his music actually.

If you lightened up a bit I think you\'d see I\'m not really bashing Bruce at all, just having a little fun here.

Satisfactory?

They are headlining a night at Outside Lands that likely has no where near the amount of music as Bonnaroo.  Doozefest.

Any idea how many people were let in to the festival?

Now that I\'ve finally got my brain back, I\'d like to thank everyone I was there with for contributing to what was really an excellent 4 days.  From the late night drive up the mountain into Manchester to hobbling off during the end of Phish I had a blast the entire time.  Hope to see you all again soon.

If you\'ve ever been on the grounds of a music festival an hour or so after the last band has left the stage, you know it looks like a garbage tornado has just touched down. But after last weekend\'s Bonnaroo Festival wrapped up, the cleanup crew found something truly bizarre amidst the usual mountains of empty cups and crusty shoes: a dead body.

The Tennessean reports that on Tuesday, Bonnaroo workers found the body of an unidentified white man in his 20s in a tent. The man was apparently last seen alive around 3 p.m. on Monday, and police believe he may have been from Alabama. There were no signs of trauma on the body. Police are conducting an autopsy.

I think a OD at festival where thousands of people are using drugs is more standard than "truly bizarre"

My cold-hearted thoughts exactly.
Are there usually massive fests where nobody dies?

Nah. Boomer\'s a survivor.  If we\'re back next year we\'ll see him again, you watch.

Even more surprising this slipped through the cracks.  Considering they were about to cart Peck off to the morgue until I chased them off.

Boomer was lucky you were there, or maybe I was, either way, Boomer definitely didn\'t die, although it would not surprise me if they found him Tuesday sleeping on the hood of his car.

First, thanks to the whole .info super Bonnaroo crew!  What a great time and an awesome group to hang out with!  We did it right!

When I saw today that it was a white male in his 20\'s from Alabama who was obviously there by himself since nobody reported him missing, I couldn\'t help but think it was quite possibly Boomer.  I called the Coffee Creek County Sheriff to offer some possible tips if they were still trying to identify the body, but the guy who answered said they had identified the body already.

This is the 7th casualty at Bonnaroo in the 8 years it has happened.  There have been 2 OD\'s, 2 health failures (possibly drug related), and one guy got run over by Ricky Skagg\'s tour bus.

I already posted these review links in the Phish thread, but since they\'ll be buried in there I just want to get them in this thread for archive purposes.

So after listening to the whole second night of phish at bonnaroo, my initial comments on the sit-in were utter sewer shit...  I don\'t know if it was Trey\'s introduction that got me to relax before the 2nd listen, but it was more enjoyable this time around...  I still say that Bruce\'s voice was harsh during the bridge of Bobby Jean, but all other complaints I take back...

Below is a link to Bruce\'s Bonnaroo show and the notes that came w/ it....

Also, below is the show that Trey references going to when he was 14

Audience tape - Premiere of The Ties That Bind. A reader present comments "I rank this as one of the all-time greatest Bruce concerts (of the 50+ I have attended and I know I’m just a piker on that standard). The audience jumping and dancing caused the gym floor to vibrate and move up and down. The “urban legend” is that this concert caused structural damage to the facility and that this was the last major rock concert to take place in Jadwin gym." Thanks to Michael.
