Thought 2: \'How come we don\'t play Food For Thought anymore?\'
^^ with \'James Bond\' tease.
A wheel was spun to decide what songs were played next. Details here.
Thanks to crimsonknuckles for the setlist!
-
nice, FFT and Lit, I\'m jealous.
-
no FFT thoughts?
show looks very good, interested in hearing the discs.
-
that setlist is chock full of goodness.. I like seeing Escher\'s parts 1 and 2 being played these days. Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) > jam > What The Funk > Inner Glimpse > Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2)- know this is unreal. Glad to hear that this show was taped. It looks like 1st set they played a lot of 2nd set standards- Taboo, Language, WPOAC.. lucky crowd. I am having a hard time accepting the fate of this so called "wheel". It all looks to nice on paper :)
-
Phaddy and Escher\'s 3 shows in a row! unusually satisfying
look like set 2 was played first and set 1 second.
-
food for thought1: "thanks for spinning the wheel"
food for thought2: "how come we dont play food for thought anymore"
.........i believe these were the bands thoughts..................
-
god damn........that show looks insane. i\'ve been jonesin for superfly phaddy fat for so long, you lucky bastards. the rest of the setlist is pretty much self-explanatory, they obviously rocked the fuck out.
-
look like set 2 was played first and set 1 second.
I would cream my shorts if the breakfast ended a show i was at with coma...
anyone recall being at a show with a WUIAC 2nd set closer? And if it were an encore, I would be donefore...
-
Good times! Overall the show was not as hot as gloversville last week. But still extremely entertaining. Second set blew the first away. Spinning the wheel was hillarious and sooooo fun. Tim basically told the crowd when to spin during the second set and called for a respin several times hehe. Sleeping beauty came up at least twice but was not played :( I spun the language before the first set which was a great version. The second half of the first set was real good. Escher\'s Etchings Part 2 > Wild Pack Of Asscracks, Language Of The Gods > Wake Up In A Coma all rocked. THe coma was was fuckin SER. And i don\'t use that term lightly ;) The superfly fatty was nuts. THe Lit was fuckin CRAAAAZY. I don\'t think food for thought even came up on the wheel everyone just wanted to hear it, hence the second thought. The encore was pretty lame, I have to be honest. Overall though it was a great night. The breakfast stepped up to the challenge in a huge way and rocked the wheel.
-
no fresh cut last night !
-
Guaranteed The First Time Since 3/4
Lemem Check
-
defiantely not the first time, but probably only the 3re or 4th time since march4
-
Yeah, pretty good show. I guess I feel compelled to make a few comments...
1. The wheel is lame. I\'d rather see them create their own setlist. It\'s part of the artistry and they\'re damn good at it. Like the Northampton show a couple months ago... a 4-part Rufus sandwich! So I won\'t be sad to see the wheel disappear.
2. Escher\'s Etchings doesn\'t work well split up. So I\'m glad they split it early on at least.
3. Sick Language > Wake Up in a Coma!!
4. Mooboo\'s kicked ass, and I thank the wheel for that :)
what else...
I dunno it was a pretty good show overall. The 1-setter in Ithaca a couple weeks ago was better. I also expected a way bigger crowd at the Electric Company.
-
I also expected a way bigger crowd at the Electric Company.
Can you provide us with an estimation of the crowd size?
-
70 tops
-
Yeah I was thinking more like 50 tops. Seemed like the crowd dwindled a bit towards the end too...

Jason-A and Melissa.
-
taboot>phaddy>eschers part 1> wpoac, sounds sick. wish i was there but still recovering from the VT trip
-
the 8 hour round trip drive must have been tough for you, thats what happens when you fall alseep on the ride home from a 2 hour drive.
lesson learned plainandsimple, lesson learned....
-
Jason-A and Melissa.
Very nice couple. I had the pleasure of offically meeting them in VT. They were kind enough to let me stay on the hotel floor. Very very grateful for their hospitality!
-
yes they were very hospitable indeed :D
-
ya spacey my man, We decided thursday am to keep on going to utica. I was not upset at all.The only down side it took me 7 and a half hours to get home. oooof. I almost turned off on 87 south VA beach ohhhh maine. I had to go get my kids. great to meet klout and crimson.
Dave and matt. I already made copies both shows and will be on there way in the AM. On the wheel note, I thought it was a cool idea, I would not want to see it all the time, I agree they do a fantastic job on their on setlists and I love the surprise when they come out of a jam. The cool idea behind this was for them to be in a song and have the wheel spin and go into that song. I spoke with the band about it and they thought is was a cool idea and wanted to do it.
-
i dont there are many other bands out there could even pull a wheel show off
-
I agree not many at all could pull it off that is why it was so cool! I only mean I would not want to see it all the time is because they have to play what comes up, the law of averages as you can see quite a few came up that were played the night before. I did see sleeping come up they shook that off, also I thought may fly came up at the end and ron was like no way to much??? did you see that?
-
nooooo bitches whatsoever either
Well I brought my girlfriend.... some old dude hit on her a bit hehehe
Hope you went ez on Todd.
-

Thinking TLG could do a fine job.
-
nobody mentioned the light show that the guys from rezi brought. It looked really cool. At the beg. was the best they turned off all the house lights but ron said he could not see, so they went back on. This is what these guys need lights!
-
They need to get the light show they had in Palmer MA in January.
Haven\'t seen them since, but it was like psychedelic projections on the walls reacting the music.

i feel like they play almost all of their songs every show anyways.

?

havent seen em since last summer, and i dont mean it in a bad way at all, but anytime ive picked up a two set show or seen one i felt like they played the exact same setlist which seemed to be their entire catalogue. but i wouldnt know too well, you being out in cali would have a WAY BETTER view on this, if you could explain as much about their shows as you can.... (i love em anyways, though, great fun, great energy)
-
I can see what you\'re saying. They were pushing their new album last year.
They have a bunch of new songs now and basically Trevor(keys) has taken the vocal reins from Josh(geetar) a bit more so things have evened out some. Plus Josh has quit smoking and doing blow so his playing is more focused. Also Ben aka The ****(bass) has busted out some new songs which rock. Their transitions are some of the best around up there w/ The Breakfast is all i was thinking. The recent cafe dunord show from 1/20/05 is SER indeed
-
i saw em in 03 and 04 and it seemed like Trevor always had the vocal reins?? i like his voice though, really unique and easy to listen to. all new things sound good though, ill see em at HSMF in a few months so im pretty psyched, theyre playing a late night with P-Groove which should be great. isnt 1.20.05 an acoustic show? i think i got it, i do like it if thats it but definitely prefer clark\'s electric style.
-
Yeah It\'s "acoustic" but you wouldn\'t know it from the way they just freaking rage that nite. Yeah I guess Trevor has had the reins for awhile now. man time flys. Josh\'s songs are so rugged in the vocals anyway I remember Trevor\'s more it seems.
My buddy is tryin\' to get me up to Hsmf but there is just not enuff if you can believe it to get me up there. I may go if I can get it subsidized by running lights. I was trying to but I got some better offers right now but I think I can fit hsmf in for a nite or 2 :)

I wasn\'t there Fuck Head ;)
Don\'t you have a date with your bong???

hopefully some day soon, these guys are big enough to purchase/rent a tiny rig to get lights going. If they started adding lights to the show, its over, they will explode onto the scene. Every show that I have seen that have had lights has been very well done. Only time will tell....

that was Groovin Lumens (http://www.groovinlumens.com/).. the b\'fast has them every once in a while, which, imo, is enough. i\'d take decent lights over the projectors any day. projectors can be overkill, and they often are..

Tea Leaf Green acoustic= Coffee Bean Brown :) Was anyone at last year\'s 4/20 show from Cervante\'s Masterpiece in Denver when TLG and PB played a co-bill?? Someone mentioned they had an intersubjective jam between the two bands.. sounds interesting.

No CBB is NOT TLG acoustic. Very similar but CBB is Trevor\'s band. Waaaaaaay different sound/songs.
The show you speak of is so hard to find. Been looking for awhile,if you find it pls pm me.

Biscuits did the "Roulette Set" when they played A.C. back on the Fall \'02 tour and a great show came out of that. Wish I had seen this. Only 50-70 people...ouch. I thought that town flocked for the Breakfast??
-
damn, this second set is the heat: Superfly Phaddy Fat > Lit > Question Mark And The Mind > Mooboo\'s Voodoo (Episode 2) is tasty, and that even the half of it.....
-
somebody listen to this and tell me what timmy teases in escher\'s part 2 please.... i know the song, i just can\'t put my finger on it.

Igziabeher, Do you have a time on the tease? I am listening to Escher\'s right now and will listen closely if I had a frame.
