The last webster show was nye 2005/06......It was a doozie, but thanks to a ser snow/sleet/ice storm we can write it off due to weather.....

I didnt think the valentines webster show was gonna see the light of day........

Maybe there is something we can do to get people there.....instead of just being negative, lets try to figure out a way/gimmick/promotion to get people interested in the show....

yeah gencs that was a serious winterstorm that night it took fucking forever to get to the show that was an hour away.  I would def have to credit the attendance to that huge variable.  Fairy opener made it worth it to me, i was needing it real bad then, although it wasn\'t anything spectacular

Valentines day is merely a holiday created to sell cards, candy, etc.  If you are in love with someone you definitely shouldnt just wait for one day to express your love to them in dinner/candy/gift form.  This holiday is for all those poor ladies who are stuck in a relationship with some stupid meathead who takes her for granted all year long, but at least they have one day to brag to all their friends that their boyfriend/husband is taking them to dinner, buying them jewlery to make up for a years worth of neglect and boring sex.

As for a Breakfast show on a Wednesday night in Connecticut......Suck it up for the love of BROSEPH.....If the show is marketed properly, and everyone makes it to the show, it could be one of the best fucking shows of the year.  The Breakfast is supposed to be one of your favorite bands out there and a chance to see them, no matter where, should be a good thing.......I mean the sound and vibe wouldn\'t be a concern if there were 1000 people there....

well instead of talking about how unsuccessful of a night its going to be, why dont you download a couple of posters and hang them around campus...maybe the student union, or in comon areas in dormrooms....there is even a head shop right on campus that could probably use a poster.....or you could just predict that the show is going to suck and then sit there on your high horse when it does though you didnt do anything to help it not suck......

i have no problems taking a 45+ minute drive up to Boston to hand out fliers and cd\'s after getting out of work, and i bet it\'s a bit colder at 11:00 at night in Boston. Ithaca kids had no problems hanging up a poster or two and spreading the word. but hey if everyone is content chill\'n at shows with the same 50 people do what your doing now. if you want people to come out to shows and boost the moral of the band to get a better show stop complaining and do something about it.

it\'s not you it\'s everybody. how many people on the board actually take the time to print out 5-10 pages of fliers and hand them out...... 1, 2-5 people. print 1 and copy them at CVS for 10 cents a piece it doesn\'t cost THAT much money. are there any posters or fliers at Old Glory, anything at Sunshine Daydream...... one of the 10 college campuses in CT that many people attend, probably not. will doing so bring in 1000\'s people probably not but if an extra 50-100 people come thats 50 people that will tell at least one friend that the Breakfast is worth checking out next time. for fuck sakes the same 5 people can\'t/won\'t keep doing this.

I got the most bullshit excuses as to why all these cats in my music class didn\'t show up to either of the nights in Syracuse after giving them handbills, I did see a few faces saturday night that I had given handbills to that I didn\'t really expect to see not to mention a few cats walked up to me on campus yesterday thanking me for letting them know about it and that they had a blast.

As for the Love Fest, I think it\'s going to be a damn good time.  For one, we\'ve got The Breakfast, Secondly we\'ve got all of your smiling faces, lastly, it\'s valentines day, who knows what kinds of shenanigans will go down... I\'m thinking we\'re in for a fucking hullaballoo

My band, La MSV, who is also playing that night has sold over 25 tickets, and many people I know from work are talking about the show....I would say atleast 50 people I know will attend....so I am sure the crowd won\'t be that sparse.

But many people do flak on these shows it\'s true....

And another thing why does the Webster book all "Jambands" in a 7 day period?

Where does one without a driveway (and no nearby parking garage/lot) park when the city issues a parking ban?

only 8 towns in CT had a parking ban tonight. new haven wasnt one of them.

i know a guy who used to live in new haven and he left his truck in the street and it just got buried in snow by the plow every time there was a snowstorm

No - I used to work in Boston, but lived 60 miles south in the New Bedford area.

Oh I clearly read on Channel 3 and NBC that NH had a parking ban last night....idk...it\'s what I read...
