I: Space City Affair > Tribal Funk Affliction, May Fly Disarray, Garcian Fishbowl* > Phaddy Boom Baddy > Attraction To Shade Ditty > Phaddy Boom Baddy > Garcian Fishbowl, Intension > Vocoder jam > What The Funk
II: Hard Luck Harry > Earache My Eye, See The Light > Gypsy Queen**, Gypsy Girl > Drunk Monk Bar, jam > Inner Glimpse > Drum Solo/Guitar Solo>Jam^
* with \'Fresh Cut\' tease.
**ending only
^ Adrian and Tim trading solos, then tim started the guitar solo to Don\'t Fear The Reaper, which turned into a Thunderstruck jam
-
feel free to argue over what was played and what wasn\'t played, since the texts i got from gavin and paul were pretty different.. gavin\'s had a fresh cut closing out the show, and no drunk monk bar..
-
bastards....... looks like a fun show. whats the guitar solo** for
-
oops.. nothin.. sorry..
-
first time playing Blue Oyster cult?? (Don\'t Fear the Reaper)
looks ser. thunderstruck as in ac/dc??
-
i dont remember the dont fear the reaper, i\'m pretty sure if it was played, there were no lyrics sung. the thunderstruck jam was ser, also with no lyrics. good show, weak turnout for btown though.
-
i\'ll admit i accidentally forgot dmb, but the setlist i sent said fresh cut tease in the first part of garcian fishbowl. i didnt know what the two end jams were, but paul ryan was running around trying to figure it out after the show, so i assumed it would be added later because i had to send the message and pack up.
-
ahh.. that makes sense now..
-
adjusted. sic show. you may want to drop the vocoder jam after fitzy can listen back and track it. Tim went into it, but it wasn\'t working properly so it was more of a jam than vocoder jam. I had already texted you though.
-
Sooooo... did Rujah go?
:P
-
Sooooo... did Rujah go?
:P
yes, there was a Rujah appearance
See the Light>Gypsy Queen????
-
Sooooo... did Rujah go?
:P
So, did Jocelyn go? Her name was listed atop the rollcall.
-
gypsy queen queen is the santana jam they went into.
-

TBC!
-
Woah, looks like an absolutely amazing show!
-
Better show than Boston...WAY better!!!
-
that was def ser. those fresh cut teases were evil... i think fresh cut is the new ep. 2 : epic and shelved. obviously the garcian-wich was GRIMEY. Tribal Funk Affliction was the epitome of greatness. i got a little emotional during first set, i think i shed a tear during the garcian fishbols reprise. life is good.
-
that show looks fucking ridiculous. i got a text on saturday night saying how i was missing out on a rujah sighting...
as far as the turnout being low in a town where the band usually pulls in a good crowd, that\'s kindo f what happens when the show is announced less than a month before it takes place.
-
Hard Luck Harry > Earache My Eye= Incredible!! The jam to end the show was a lot of fun!!!!
-
MANY thanks to Frank... er, Paul for driving us hooligans home to CT! When I wasn\'t sleeping, I was laughing lots! Between your 2 liter Canada Dry bottle, Mandler\'s smiles over beer @ 11am on a Sunday, and TKA\'s bartering of beer for quarters, it was def a silly ride home ;)

 VT is a long drive when you are the only one awake and fighting off what turned into a cold 2 days later. Add to that, the only sleep you got was a few hours in a latenight room... OOF.
The show was great though, thanks to treychica for driving me up. Gongzilla was one of the best openers I\'ve ever seen. In other news, it\'s 6pm on monday and the twilight zone is still going strong on scifi
-
Yeah Paul, THANKS SOOOOO MUCH for driving!!!!! Sorry about your cold!!! Pop LOTS of zinc!! We watched TONS of the zone last night.
-
what a New Years Run......After 3 nights of Breakfast like that who needs a NYE show?
The Garcian sandwich was the highlight of the first set with seamless segues throughout, the best being the Phaddy>Attraction segue...prestine.
The Hardluck Harry Jam and the ending of Earache were 2 of the most intense breakfast musical moments I have ever had in the past 7 years.
The Gypsy Girl solidified it as the best ballad in the bands repetoir in my mind. The more this song gets played the better the harmonies will get and then people will finally realize that the breakfast is more than just a balls to the wall progressive rock jam funk fusion band, but understand the talent musically and vocally that these guys posses.
Thanks to Chris, Alex, and all the amazing people at Nectars for taking care of us and I hope to see you guys again real soon.....
But back to the show. The MVP of the night was unquestionalbly and without a doubt Greg "Johnny Upstate" Ellis. His working of the lights was right on all night long. The Gypsy Girl lights had eyes wide open and mouths agape all song....Kudos to Johnny Upstate for he is truly coming into his own and making a name for himself in Lighting Design through out this great land....I am glad he is on our team....
-
Easily the best lights I have ever seen Upsate do.

I concur!!!

.
It\'s that good even without the several-minute piano jam (essentially the reason I dig it so hard)?
-
better lights than toad\'s? I wish i was there
-
whatta show
garcian was cool, hadnt seen it in a while, but the HLH was one of the best breakfast jams ive ever witnessed
gongzilla kicked some serious ass as well, those guys were pros
thanks to stephengencs helpin me out
-
better lights than toad\'s?
Yes, they were.
-
I thought the whole nectars show was better than Toads........
Gypsy Girl, to me, is all about the harmonizations between all 3 bandmembers.....The "jam" in the song is just fine without piano.....
-

................................................
-
were any of the holiday shows recorded? i saw some mics in boston but they may have been for the openers.
-
I am pretty sure all three nights were recorded....boston and burlington are on video as well....
-
wow, thats fantastic! i had to cut out during the end of gladys (DOH!) cause the girl i brought was way too drunk for her own good and i felt kind of bad. i guess thats what happens when she tries to hang with upstate new yorkers. glad to know ill have a chance to listen to what i missed though. thanks for the quick reply.
-
no prob........i gotta keep my eye out for the guy at the show with the flaming paper bag for a head...keep missin you guy....are you familiar with Johnny Upstate?
-
no i have not met him yet. i plan on being at the albany show though and ill def be at the syracuse shows.
-
So pissed I left at the end of the first set. I usually groan, twinge and vomit when I hear the opening drum roll to Phaddy Boom Baddy, but man they TORE IT UP and took it to a place so far away from Phaddy\'s original framework, I just stood in awe. It was fantastic. The Tribal opener made it worth the exhaustion I suffered for the 2 days later. All in all WORLDS different than my 1st trio show, which was at the Higher Ground back in November. Nice to see ya Todd, Robin and Ken, pardon me for my stand offishness, I was tired beyond words.

 no prob, joe - especially since I didn\'t even recognize you for the first 20 mins. I was standing right next to ya! Hope to see you again soon :D
-
I tend to blend in with the Brahs... ;)
-
ser show
-
Just watched the dvd, and even though I wouldn\'t agree with Stevie\'s high regards, I will say that it was an incredible night and I had a ton of fun!!
-
I finally have some pics up on .net (http://thebreakfast.net/photos.php?date=2006-12-30)
PLEASE let me know how they look....for example...too dark? color off?...etc.
I haven\'t corrected my monitor yet and I\'m flying kinda blind at the moment...any criticism is greatly appreciated!!!!!
-
the last one of Tim and the third one are a bit dark other than that nice and crisp
-
Thanks!! Trying to sync my new monitor is proofing to be a real bitch and a half!!! What sucks the most is that I had just done it, right before my computer crashed and I can\'t remember how I did it the way I like it....figures!! :banghead:

if you want i can lighten them up for you. i don\'t remember how i did mine. maybe there is a site you can go to to give you a reference to be able to adjust to. i think i just always do it by eye.......
-
I have the software to do it...it\'s just a severe pain in the ass!!!
-
So I just got done watching this show( Thanx Steve). Easily the best lighting I have seen Ellis do with his own rig.
Very sick show.
-
Leith, any chance you can send a copy of this show my way?

As soon as I get another dvd burning program that will friggin\' work, no problem.
If I were you though, I would attempt to get it from someone at show as it will probably be faster for you.

This show is OFF THE HOOK.
Been listening to it non-stop.
It\'s a SBD taboot.

that\'s funny you mention this show. ive had disc 1 in my car for about a week now and just can\'t seem to take it out. Great Big Fiery Ball In The Sky > Attraction To Shade Ditty > See The Light > Attraction To Shade Ditty > See The Light is def the hightlight of the show for me. sound is so crisp too.
-
this was a nice little run.
