awesome show...some of the best jamming i\'ve ever heard from this band

-see the light was great
-rufus was possibly the best i\'ve ever seen...infinitely better than the one at nugroove, imo...i loved the dancey ending of the song
-segue into fft was flawless
-they got a sweet groove going in what the funk
-mayfly was possibly the best jam i\'ve ever seen from the breakfast
-excellent jam into phaddy

overall, the best trio show i\'ve seen yet...maybe the best breakfast show as well

...keyboard player?!...we don\'t need no stinking keyboard player!  I must admit, having not seen the breakfast "power trio," until last night I was a bit of a skepitc, but I\'m not anymore!  I was saying to one of the Chrises that it seemed like while making an effort to pick up the slack of a missing Jordan, they not only did that but they seemed to have gotten even better than before.  Every song in my opinion, was great except for my a totally unnecessary, Food for Thought, sorry all you hardcore fans who in your eyes the band can do no wrong...ever, the song is terrible.  Anyway, for me the show seemed to just gain energy as it went on, STL was great, Rufus was in it\'s usual spectacular form, but for me maybe they\'re obvious choices, What the Funk, Bugs, and Mayfly were really about as good as they possibly could have been, christ was I impressed, an encore would have been nice, but what can ya do.  GREAT SHOW!

 where the hell were you?

i really expected a lot more from daniel street as a venue from what i had hear about it, but honestly thought that the place sucked. way too expensive of a bar (come on now-milford, ct is not fucking manhattan) and general vibe in and around the place was not so friendly. i totally did not appreciate the gestapo type commands/insults that were basically yelled at the crowd at the end of the night to "get the fuck out of here now". also, wasn\'t crazy about how many police were crawling around that town, but i guess some places are like that. oh well.

interesting show last night. i wasn\'t blown away with the tricky ways opener, but people definitely seemed to dig the song. aside from that, the whole first set fuckin killed. awesome stl, rufus, fft..i could go on more but i am still in shock that i\'m awake right now. the mayfly, jam>phaddy was definitely the highlight of the second set. i am not into surreal radio at all, esp as an encore. there are such better songs to close a set/evening than that song.

anyway, glad i made it out last night. wasn\'t gonna go and had a change of heart at the last minute. i definitely needed that after the shit i dealt with on friday. thanks mandler for the ride and tkaspirit for some good ole  hospitality. ps/robyn, your socks are in the washing machine at this very moment-you\'ll have them back as soon as i see you! thanks!

nor did i.. BUT, considering how 2 cops entered Daniel Street at 1:55am and were busting the bartenders\' balls hardcore, asking why people still had beers in hand, i can see where they sort of don\'t have a choice but to be dicks about it. let\'s be honest, no one moves when staff tells people to leave the bar because it\'s closed.

greetings from smoggy california!!  i cant believe i made it on my flight after the show.  set 1 fucking rocked hardcore, see the light was monsterous and rufus was a sick early surprise.  the new lighting thing was INSANE!  ps:  i apologize for almost getting everyone arrested and getting wrist bands taken, i do admit we were being pretty stupid/obvious and i totally forgot about the cops in the area.  atleast everyone still got in during some part of set 2!

This show was so good, that it finally motivated me to create an account on the .info.  Honestly, this was the best Breakfast show i\'ve ever seen.  Great first set, incredible second set.  Top notch jamming from start to finish including the most ridiculous Mayfly ever.  This is definetly the best Breakfast jam i\'ve ever seen, and in fact, i\'d put it up there with my favorite jams from any band.  Anyway, I look forward to watching the Trio continue to rip it up...I just hope we can get another SBD/AUD matrix like the one up on archive from Mill Street, because this show is definetly worthy

I have been recently accused of being a lurker, so I\'ll contribute. I had a great time, and I know there are some that aren\'t fans of FFT but after Daniel St., I definitely appreciate it a LOT more. And I warmed immediately to the Tricky Ways opener. Good to see everyone that came out.

As for the gestapo, I too did not appreciate the Ving Rhames lookalike screaming to get the fuck out. If you don\'t want people walking around at 1:55 w/ drinks, start your last call earlier.

Hee hee hee... silly white boy.

I think Adrian was unsure about the Dig closer, but then he was just kind of like, go ahead throw it on there.

^^^ they should have listened to Adrian

As far as the set I did see, not a fan of Beef Barley really but the jam into it was nice, really dug Future Peak, rufus was awesome, the jam I think into FFT with something on the synth that sounded like a talk box was nasty, one of the better FFT\'s I\'ve heard

Yeah I actually wasn\'t super into the Dig.

FFT was probably the highlight of my night so if the set had ended there I would have been happy.

I thought the show was really good all in all but I don\'t think it was good enough for me to be quite as ecstatic as some of you sound. Maybe it\'s just because this was the first time I had heard the band sans Jordan (I hadn\'t listened to any recordings or anything prior)... I thought some of the songs sounded as good without him and definitely had the potential to sound BETTER without him, and I thought some of the songs sounded kind of hollow. But I guess when you have heard songs so many times it throws you off to hear it sound so different so suddenly. I hope the effects don\'t get too out of control, but as long as not every songs ends up being soaked in them, I am ok with that aspect.... I guess what it comes down to is I am still on the fence. As long as they take advantage of what being a trio could do for them (accentuating the more raw, rock side of their music) I\'m sure it will be great. Have to agree with PJ on the lights.

Anyhow it was really great seeing everyone and also meeting some of the many diehard fans that for some reason I haven\'t met yet. Thanks Todd and Robyn, you guys are incredible. Even if I did somehow end up taking a scenic tour of Bridgeport. (What the fuck?)

Waking up at 1 in the afternoon to you guys drinking margaritas after having not slept a single minute... I was most certainly out-partied. You guys are nuts.

Definitely the first time I have had a police officer threaten to arrest me for not getting out of a venue fast enough. Jeepers. And the whole town was crawling with them on the drive there.

Oh yeah! And I got to hear some of the new songs! That made me happy.

Shush Gregg I already spoke to you about your absence and the fact that I was bummed you were not there. Plus, ask anyone, I was plenty vocal at Daniel St. about my concern regarding your whereabouts.

Miss Alli on the other hand I have not spoken to so I wanted to make it clear that her presence was missed.

That is all.

I\'ve always said that Jordan really enriched their sound, that\'s why I\'d advocate for a fulltime key replacement (even without hearing the current lineup).

Well, it\'s not a matter of liking them vs. not enjoying them as a trio (as I have listened to some recent shows and still think they kick ass); I almost always prefer the addition of keys to any band (though there are exceptions).  There are even studio-recorded punk bands that sound better w/the appropriate keys mixed into the sound.

Wooooah what a whirlwind of a weekend......
I heard/saw the future at Daniel Street.......
I am not sure what song it was.  I think it was in the second set where Timmy said that Adrian was going to start a tune off, and they went into this sick ass jam like i have never heard them play before......amazing playing from all three bandmembers....as for the arch-truss (or the Tie-Fighter as he was calling the lighting setup earlier in the day)....kudos to Johnny Upstate....nice job buddy......now lets get the hazer workin and you may finally have a completely working light rig......
Thanks to Duaine Oldnewbie for hosting the Breakfast crew to a relaxing afternoon poolside (we definitely needed that)
Thanks to Todd and Robyn for hooking up and hosting yet another classic latenight at good ole Hotel TKA.....

so ya sick night obviously...... i hate not having encores, surreal radio shouldnt have been the end of that show

i don\'t get the tricky ways hating.... i thought it was a great opener, something to get people movin, but you dont have to be pissed if you miss it, a la mooboos at middle east

rufus was obviously wicked sick, but whats up with botched intro? some kind of glitch in the system, obviously not a playing error.... and the song then kicked SERious ass thereafter

and were me alexi and dustin the only people who heard mooboos teases early first set????

oh and ving rhames meant business, "YOWZAH!!" :thumbsdow

Dave...was it "Limb" or "Taste"(only because I have been bugging him to try to get Ian to play Taste bc Ad knows it)?

If you haven\'t heard the band as a 3-piece, PLEASE step aside.  After seeing 138-some odd Breakfast shows with Jordan and a few since they have been back w/o him...This band is playing things that they NEVER have played before...this might not have been the best Breakfast show(which is all relative), but it was the most interesting Breakfast show I have ever seen.  I cannot wait to see what these guys can do.
