Frank,

If the band produced the album themselves (if my memory serves me correctly, there was no label associated with the self-titled) and had no other parties reckon with, why would it be a conflict if they burned their own album and made it for sale?  

By never having it for sale, they only shoot themselves in the foot with lost sales, as people yearning for it have only the option of resorting to the .info black market for bootlegs.
