Can\'t wait to hear it tomorrow!
-
synergy has that same grand sounding sorta trancey but upbeat initial peak section with that one specific guitar effect timmy uses(cant think of the word for it) but sounds like a mooboos jam or the noho HLH but more airy.
IAQ is more breakfasty than matts other tunes. matts singing is kinda bluesy and sounds good. the hooks are catchy and the instrumental segues between verses are pretty ser. the spacey part is sweet. really wanna read the lyrics. a better understanding of our universe> and absolutely GREAT little jam . super tasteful! I am excited about this tune. Great addition to the catalog
fuckin queb brah. what a throat kicker.
-
best show and vibe in utica to date.1st night hit compasity and zee had to turn away 100 people at the door because of fire marshal,2nd 469 people paid, zee said fuck it!!!ser weekend.thanx to everyone who came.
-
Upon first listen to IAQ I gotta say Matt has written another Breakfast Classic. From the first note it has that signature Breakfast sound and has everything the band has to offer in one song which all their best songs have in common.

agreed, i was saying the same thing myself at the show. def the best song he\'s written so far
-
that synergy has the triumphant \'Gravity\' feel to it during the jam
-
I like IAQ a lot. So many sweet riffs, some unexpected but fluid changes, classical sections, and an outro that will absolutely bring people to their knees in the future. Chris was playing some dirty shit the last few minutes.
Nice one Matt!

So, I have to ask, what\'s with the annoying cowbell every couple of minutes. Is it a tip bell at the bar. Either way, it\'s really annoying.

it is the tip bell.... very very annoying and distracting too. so much, in fact, i was inspired not to tip, and brought my own alcohol to the show.... :hehehe:

seriously!
come on, i can understand if it\'s a place like toad\'s, but i think i still managed to spend less than < $50 for the whole weekend on drinks, considering they were 2 for 5 at the brewery and $2 at the ec. and considering we probably drank at bars/breweries for 20 hours or so of the weekend, that\'s an accomplishment.
:-P

want a medal?
i wasn\'t trying to save money, just the principal. the bell was mad annoying & rude. so i\'ll bring my own booze.

It\'s not really cheap if your drinking anything besides the scwhill water saranacs.
I spent well over $50 at the bar the first night, then brought a sixer in the second night and still spent $30 or 40 at the bar.
The bar tenders there very greatly though. The guy and tatted up girl were not cuttin any slack but blonde girl was hookin up the fat deals.

i like schwill saranac.
infrequently asked questions is a really fun tune. that riff is infectious. sweet tune
-
synergy might be the best jam of the whole weekend
second set first night is the best set of the weekend
intro jam is ser 10 minutes +
tribal is huge one of the best ever.
reba is nailed. as good a version as I have ever heard
taboo w/bass solo is a nice interlude
queeb is filthy, one of the best ever recorded
simpleton is a nice capper
timmy shredded it up like I have not seen in a long time all weekend.
-
Queeb is epic. a perfect example of why i am a "first jam" man.
-
dangleese needs to get some quirky juicy bass effects for the trance jams.
-
yeah that queeb just keeps biulding and building....the trance jam doesn end till just about 15 minutes, unheard of!
-
I totally forgot about everyone singing taboo in silly, high pitched voices hhaha thats classic
Timmy after song ends: "Soundin excellent out there!"
-
^^^^ like he\'s one to talk !!! :duck:
-
oh, everyone finally sang the song the right way? i noticed the high pitched crowd singing fell off over the years and got repalced with a somewhat monotone version, never understood why, i mean everyone knows what the songs sounds like...

hey Dave does archive no longer do FTP style downloads?
-
Word from staff is that ftp uploading works as before at its usual speed, but yes, ftp downloading has changed.
Due to abuse, ftp downloads had to be throttled. Also, http makes it easier for IA to serve alternate copies of files in case of high load, individual machines crashing or other problems.
FTP still does work, just manually change the "http" in a link to "ftp" and it should be usable, but slower than before. BTW FTP was apparently a stopgap while there was a 2GB http downloading glitch, now reportedly fixed (this? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298618 ).
To use http, if your usual browser or net connection is giving you trouble, you may be able to find a suitable http-based download manager for your setup. I\'d want one with resume, for instance!

thanks Dave!
-
This Tribal is soo nice. Moody jam, as always. I think I heard a Dark Star and Stash tease by Tim too.
Jesus.. this Tribal from 15 on is absolutely insane.. I don\'t remember ever listening to this. goddamn this is some seriously heavy shit
-
I have it before...this is possibly the best two set show of the year. both sets are solid as hell.
