My buddies weren\'t kidding when they said they played their balls off last night...but dammit, I wanted a Tricky Ways in Indy, now they probably won\'t play it. Can\'t really complain about that monster set, though.

Gencs called me and left a msg on my cell phone while they were playing...obviously it sounded like someone throwing live rodents and marbles in a blender and turning it on, BUT it did sound PRETTY intense.  I should hear from him when he wakes up to get a full recap.

remember the days of the Sasparilla opener with the Sasparilla reprise to close the set. It was so powerful and chaotic. People loved it, to bad it went away. I love the Sasparilla Reprise to open shows too.

im sure theyll have no problem doin Tricky Ways again back to back. would have been so worth the what 15-20 hour drive to see them throw it down there, hopefully a nice review is in the works as people are recovering.

It is well over a 24 hour drive to get there .:holyshit: It was bad enough driving 13 hours solo to Kentucky for the festie they played at a few summers ago.

plays them both at the same time, switching back and forth. he\'ll do a keys solo or jam intro and bust into guitar and while each fades in and out he switchs. the corner pocket was interesting hence the 12 show buffer on getting into the groove. i guess they are finding there own from the looks of the set list at 10K Lakes

talented MF\'er all he needs now is and extra arm coming out of his chest.

now that i think of it, jamming is gonna be a whole nother demension, no more guess work on where each person is going and when to start and stop a solo. the Boat is going to be insain

he playe guitar then will duel with himself and play keys. He still jams on guitar but will fill in on keys throughout songs.

There were about 15 photographers/videotapers as their set started.....
One of them was talking to Tim before taking the stage about getting Ellis to light up the crowd in order to get a good pic of the deep and thick crowd....not sure if it happened but we will see soon enough....

glad to hear.

i knew it was going to work for the best. there were a few naysayers that thought negative when they heard it was a Wednesday, but there will always be the early arrivals at any festival. People go to festivals for the most for the music and what else are they going to do on the first night of the festival then go out and hear the music.

Saturday i saved all my energy for GRAB which i thought it was pretty good. the mmw shit was off the chain! that wrapped up my festival

I taped the 10klf set.  I haven\'t listened on a good playback system yet, but what I\'ve heard sounds well, it\'s passable, but I really hope someone else fared better.  There were at least 4 rigs running and a number of patchers.

I was unaware the band would play as a trio - quite a surprise!

The PA was muddy at the beginning.  I spoke with the soundguy (Josh, right?) when he came up by the tapers section.  He appeared frustrated and said he couldn\'t get any isolation at the board.  I loaned him my headphones so he could get the sound tweaked - a dramatic improvement to my ears.

Peaches - holy sh!t that was fantastic!!!  I think they made a lot of new fans last Wednesday.  The trio sound is pretty crunchy.  I think the harder edge increased the energy level and really got the crowd pumped.

Also, I\'ve been trying to d/l the 7/7/06 show off of bt.etree.org with no luck.  If any of you have it can you please seed it and let me know where its at.  I\'m looking for the soundboard version if its around.

just some quotes pulled from jambase.com- from the "comments" section which followed thier review of the festie:
"bonnaroo gets a 10 page review while 10klf, which blew bonnaroo away gets one page of writing. no real mentionings of what went on no mention of how the breakfast blew weveryone away the first night, glowstick wars at sci"

"And last comment, no mention of The Breakfast rockin out hard on Wednesday?! The article should have at least commented on how amazing they were Without the Keys player, they were sick!"

"considering 99% of the people i talked to before the breakfast show had never heard of or listened to them, then after the show all they could say was wow...but they dont get the slightest mention. especially considering the keys left and they still managed to deliver to the fullest of their abilities"

"Food for Thought: Breakfast rocks, Breakfast rocks, Breakfast rocks.... If you dont know them, don\'t worry, you will soon."

"props to breakfest - ive never heard of them but they blew me away"
