We wanted Saturday but we gotta let the bands gig that night.
I figure Sunday from 1-8pm is perfect and we can still get to sleep at some relatively normal hour.

I have a feeling this will be the biggest and best yet!

That\'s a tough one. Having livied in that area for 6 years, I never came back after my freshmen year in college. The summertime is wonderful up there. But, An outdoor Breakfast show? I think I have made my decision.

Anyone who can find a copy of 7/4/1 should do so immediately.  One of my favorite shows of all time.  It\'s from Chittendon Park, of course!

Say, this being Kroop\'s gig, does that mean that The Breakfast will be opening for Pencilgrass?

With all respect to PGrass, if they can get on the All Good bill why not the breakfast? Just been at the official site, looking at the other acts, breakfast instead of Particle and/or UM would have challenged Bonnaroo as THE festival line-up of the year.

I agree about All Good.. Not the PGRASS part but the Breakfast DEFINITELY should have been added as well.. a long time ago.

The family Jam price is reflective of the cost I\'m putting into the event. $25 isn\'t bad for FREE premium beer, FREE food and these 2 bands.

+ this party doubles as my Jack-n-Jill party!!

Josh, Whats the chance of alternating sets of pgrass > breakfast > pgrass > Breakfast.  I think this would be cool.  You might want a better system/soundboard arrangement than in years past if you are going to pull that off and of course josh dobbs at the helm.

Sorry Todd but there won\'t be any pony rides.. my guys are a wee bit eccentric and I don\'t have a lawyer or any liability forms for people to fill out, so...

If they were safe, I would certainly let you have a ride though.

Good Look Josh....
Definately shaping up to be an epic day.....

Hopefully it will happen before the Family Jam, but lets break the Colavope Curse....

The Colavolpe Curse (as pointed out by ChrisF):  In the 4 shows that Fuzebox has played with their new lead guitarist Mike Colavolpe (and there is a good chance i am spelling his last name wrong), Fitzy has tried, unsuccessfully, to get a recording.  The curse is NOT just related to new Fuzebox shows, but also dates back to the Breakfast show at Porters when The Peoples Band opened downstairs.  About halfway through the Peoples Band set the power cuts out ruining the recording....also back in 2002 when Project Sipowitz opened for the Breakfast at Blues Cafe, Mike sat in with the Breakfast and Fitzy ended up losing that recording....The only Blues Cafe show that Fitzy didnt get......

Why the curse?  who knows, but its about time for it to come to an end....  so come out and send the vibes out that Fitzy (and any other tapers out there) can break this curse....Mike Colavolpe is an amazing talent, at 21 years young, he is already being credibly compared to our own Tim Palmieri....  If you haven\'t seen Mike play, especially with Fuzebox, you have no idea what you are missing.....

Thanks again Josh.....

I dont think preparedness is the issue here....Fitzy is extremely good at being prepared....We are all human and bound to make a mistake or miscalculation here or there....I just think its wierd that in the 5 or 6 times he has tried to tape a Colavolpe show, they have all had a problem...that is just very unFitzy...and I could see the frustration in his face on Saturday night when the power went out in Hamden....

the curse only applies to me. matt has some sipowitz and/or peoples band multitrack recordings that came out just fine. only i can break this curse.

dont get your hopes up, but i might be able to salvage the sidestreet show. all of my channels were saved to the hard drive, the files just werent finalized because the power went out while recording and before saving. for some reason the bass channel is readable by protools. i am going to post my problem on the protools forum and see if they can help me open these files somehow. i think all the music is there i just need a way of opening the files.

I feel for you chris.   I can\'t tell you how many times the power went out when I used to record at the power mill barn.  I learned to always run a separate power cord to a separate power outlet that is on a separate breaker from everyone else. BTW, this can introduce ground loop so I purchased a tripp lite isobar power strip and have never had ground loop problems caused by my gear.  I was also considering running a separate battery backup, but my rack gear is heavy enough.

Don\'t worry yourselves....if Josh or myself know you....you are in no matter how many pre-sales/ day of sales there are. If you read this and don\'t know either of us, call me (203-530-7056) the day of and you\'re all set! As for bringing your own ...it is no problem and probably a very good idea, as we don\'t know how long the kegs will last ;)

Yes Gregg I am a beer snob. What of it? You won\'t be so demeaning when you want to drink all of the delicious beer I will bring. :P

6 kegs of Blackberry Wheat? Eeeeew... they make me feel like I have brushed my teeth with carmelized sugar. One is good, but that\'s all I can drink. That actually applies to all fruit beers. In general I stick with a "Fruit Beers Suck" mentality. But, I can see how they would be appealing for some.

We have over $2000 invested in this and it also doubles as my Jack-n-Jill party.

Besides.. how many of these events do you think we\'ll be able to have in the future.

At the rate these bands are growing.. this could be the last chance to do this kind of thing.

Quick question.....i know bars in ct have to have a designated drinking area and i thought i read something that josh wrote about a gated drinking area....is this going to really seperate the crowd? i ask b/c i\'m going with a freind who is not 21 and although i would like to drink and converse with the 21+ crowd, i dont want to leave my freind stuck with all the youngins all day.  Any ideas?

For ser, y\'all are gonna have to make the trek out if there\'s a Lafayette show. It\'s called the Smokehouse Porter, I think.

quite possibly one of the most memorable performances last night.  animal = hittin\' the drums so f\'in\' hard, I was waitin\' for the new lighting rig to come crashing down on his noggin\'.  i had kinda a birdseye view of Jordan during the performance (a perspective I haven\'t had since the ol\'Callahan days).  Man it\'s fun watching him work.  It\'s like watching some crazed mad scientist.  Oh, and when I was walking in w/ Walsh and he was holding a bottle of Tequila like it was the Stanley Cup, I had no idea that it was gonna play a huge role in the show.  Amen to Ronnie for asking for seconds!!

Josh definitely knows how to throw a party!!

Oh, and P.S. - if they land an Indiana gig, I\'ll wrap Ant up in bubble wrap and FedEx his puggy ass there for the show.

the husband of a woman i work w/ runs the open jam @ the Noodle out there on Wednesday nights.  i\'d love to see the boys sit in w/ some folks and make some waves in the musician community out there.  could help draw a larger crowd.

3) Mosquito Dave just sprayed the property so we don\'t get chowed!

Wow, if anything, good call on this!  Made last night so much more pleasurable w/out the pesty bugs...

Are bees bugs?

I know that something was eating my legs, I can\'t imagine what it would have been like if the place wasn\'t sprayed.
