Found this on MySpace today... I\'m not sure if this is common knowledge among the dotINFO locals, but I didn\'t see anything posted. Can\'t wait for these shows.

It all begins with the Beatles. The music they recorded. The influence they left behind.
One evening in March of 2006, Tim Palmieri and Sean Miller were playing music together. Sean was showing Tim how to play "Dear Prudence" when the two musicians thought, "What if two people tried to play every Beatles song that was recorded alphabetically from A to Z?"
Thus became the concept of The Beatles A-Z project.
The two musicians have been influenced by The Beatles since first being introduced to the music at an early age, which contributed to their vast knowledge of the music, lyrics and the nuances you hear in the original recordings. Their role in presenting this project is to perform each song just as the original recordings were recorded; all the while making each song their own. Another purpose for presenting this, that Tim and Sean both agreed upon, is to share their enthusiasm and passion of the Fab Four.
The Beatles recorded over 215 songs from 1962 until 1970. Learning all of the songs is not an easy task, armed with only The Beatles Complete Scores and their musical ability they set out to accomplish this feat.
The result of their efforts will be heard on the 5 Sundays in August at the Daniel Street Music Club in Milford, CT.
It will be quite event. We hope that you will come and enjoy the music that has influenced us over the years.

so they got 6 dates and 215 songs. thats roughly 35 songs a show which is still a lot
-
wow......that sounds incredible. Hopefully I can get down there for one or two of these...wish they weren\'t on sunday\'s.
Is the last one on Aug. 31st, meaning no moe.down appearance for the boys?
They should release some type of 10 disc (or whatever it comes out to be) box set of all 5 weeks.

That\'s a truck load of songs per night. I\'ve never heard of anyone doing anything like this before. It\'d be great to get some heads in the doors to support this kind of experiment. I can\'t wait for it!

Pete Best > Ringo Star
Just doing a quick search of all the albums and de-duping the songs, I come up with 239 songs. Are they only doing originals? From all allbums? German lyric versions?
-
can\'t get on myspace. Is it the same venue, or a different one every week?

I am up for a challenge. I already do a pretty good British accent.

i know, the abbey road thing irks me too...
im not sure if im right, but i think tim is going to count "the" as the first word of applicable song titles.....
.... i\'ve heard rumor of the Beatles A-Z for at least a couple years now, so its nice to see it finally happening! and props to Tim for taking on such an endeavor, its going to be quite an achievement. i wonder how many of the songs i\'ll actually know/recognize?
-
they should do 26 a night(or a day)a-z,every show a little different,imo.
-
While I\'m all for these shows and think it\'s a really cool idea, these should be breakfast shows, not side projects. The band seems to be growing alittle as of late, and needs to keep playing as much as possible to pick up all those moe. fans who are going to be looking for a new band to follow.
That being said, I still hope to make it down for one or two of these shows, they sound very interesting.
-

you mean instead of show 1 being A-D show 2 being E-H (or something to that effect) ect... doing A-Z every night and spreading it out? I like that idea.
-
This needs some big publicity, I mean really this is an incredible/ridiculous undertaking.

and definitely carries mass appeal

Making free (or at least cheap) discs of Breakfast and Timmy Tour shows available at these gigs should be a huge priority for the dotINFO community. While I don\'t imagine that these shows will be overly representative of Breakfast shows, this is definitely a great way to get people to listen to Tim Palmieri. And as we all know, Timmy Tour is a gateway drug that often leads to Breakfast shows.
-
that\'s funny....i found the breakfast to be the gateway to timmy tour. that\'s just me.

i know a bunch of kids who dig TT way more than Bfast. its the whole "Bfast = too many notes/ too in your face" thing. Some people just jones for acoustic stuff

YES.THATS WHAT THEY SHOULD DO.
-
^^^^
I think that ruins the whole idea of the event.
Kudo\'s to the band undertaking this project, very interesting , i\'ve never heard of something like this...

The New Haven Advocate did a real nice, yet unfortunately titled, write up about these shows:
Beating It (http://www.newhavenadvocate.com/article.cfm?aid=8983)
-
"Beating It"... really?
Good article, though.
-
good to see some word out on this.
Hey guys, good luck with like the last 6 or 7 songs from Yellow Submarine!
-
there was also a blurb in the hartford courant:
A trio of New Haven musicians perform the entire Beatles catalog, in alphabetical order, over five Sundays in August at Daniel Street in Milford. Guitarist Tim Palmieri, of the Breakfast; former Breakfast band mate Ron Spears on bass; and frequent collaborator Sean Miller on mandolin, plan to start with "A Day in the Life" and continue through "You Really Got a Hold on Me." They\'ll also be including non-album tracks, such as "Not Guilty" by George Harrison and "Come and Get It" by Paul McCartney.
-
also saw this in jambands:
The Beatles A-Z for Breakfast
The Breakfast’s Tim Palmieri will perform the entire Beatles catalog in alphabetical order---from "A Day in the Life" to "You Really Got a Hold On Me"---over the course of five summer nights in Milford, CT. For the mammoth undertaking, Palmieri will be joined by former Breakfast bassist Ron Spears and mandolinist Sean Miller, as well as a handful of special guests. The trio will perform at Milford’s Daniel Street each Sunday in August, running through more than 215 songs.
"It\'s really just celebrating everything that they\'ve given us," Palmieri said in a statement. "I absolutely feel all of these songs from the inside to the out."
Palmieri also promises unrecorded Beatles songs like George Harrison’s "Not Guilty" and Paul McCartney’s "Come and Get It" and will broadcast the Fab Four’s solo work over the venue’s PA between sets.
The Beatles A-Z will take place at 6 PM on August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Meanwhile, The Breakfast will perform at Kearny, NJ’s Donegal Saloon this Friday.
and this on metromix:
On Sunday evenings this August, a trio of New Haven musicians will take Daniel Street back to the ‘60s as they revisit the Beatles\' catalog in full. Led by local legend Tim Palmieri of the Breakfast, the group will perform "The Beatles A to Z," exploring the Fab Four’s entire repertoire of recordings, including some tracks that never appeared on an album.
For those of you scratching up a cheat sheet at home, that’s more than 215 songs, to be performed in alphabetical—not chronological—order. “A Day in the Life” to “You Really Got a Hold On Me.” For a sneak peak at the basic song list, check out a copy of “The Beatles: Complete Scores.”
And, if that’s not enough to satisfy your craving, Palmieri and cohorts Sean Miller (mandolin) and Ron Spears (bass) have arranged for Beatles solo project tracks to spin during set breaks. Whether your favorite is “Hey Jude” or “Rocky Raccoon,” you’re sure to hear it over this whirlwind series of shows.
Tickets cost $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the opening band at 5 p.m. and the Beatles tribute starting at 6 p.m. For more information, visit the Beatles A to Z MySpace page.
question: is tim too young to be called a "legend" just yet??

Clapton = 22 years old.
IMO - no, it\'s not too early.

The fact that this is not an all ages show is crap. The Beatles are one of the first bands young kids get into and to hear these three musicians play will be a great experience. I had a group of 15 coming to the show until I found out its not all ages. Now it will be me and my wife if we can get a babysitter. Oh well hope I can make it!

You should call Daniel St., talk to Phil. I\'ve seen supervised minors in there before. Shit, superbaby makes frequent appearance, Sammy B. is like 12, Caitlan... 8. Arrangements might be there for the asking.

I really want to bring my kids too.
I\'m not going to be around for the first 2. Can someone please talk some sense into them?
How about moving to outdoors at Stonebridge??

I don\'t think that Daniel St. is still owned by Richie. I believe that he sold it, but his son Phil is still managing it. So I don\'t think this kind of move would be easy to do.
-
Spoke with Sean and he spoke with Phil and kids are welcome. Great news and see you all on Sunday.
-
I love kids. Im gonna try to make it down for this and then swing to toads for gogol.
That would be fun
