Holy Moses and the High Rollers
« on: August 02, 2005, 04:45:18 pm »
Anyone ever heard of or seen these guys before? Based out of Fort Collins, CO this band is featured on the LMA (how i found them) and have explosive preformances.  Although they have a much different style then TB, there are some def some similarities of the two bands.  I recently joined the message boards on http://www.hmhr.net and have found that the band has actually played with the boys before at Springfest 2001 (anyone attend?) at UVM.  The band is down to earth as well, as two memebers of the band replied to my first post on the board, introducing themselves and answering all the questions i had.  I promised to spread the word on this board as half of my first post on that board was talking about the bfast :)

So go check em out already!

im on my way...  :boat:

just listened to em for about a half hour.. ehh. not sure if id call anything explosive, wouldnt compare them to TB in any way actually. sounds like they try to go a Phish route in their jams, lots of piano chords that build and everyone just kinda walks together up a ladder. yeah, not explosive.

ok maybe explosive wasn\'t the right word....but very chill, actually now that i think about it explosive is just a lie.  Very phishy, dead, and zappa-ish imo....guess thats how i see the similarities....funky at points and jammed out at points.  Like i said tho, much diff styles.
