People interested in helping with promotion of this show can contact Tim at tim@thebreakfast.net
CT Area Shows To Promote (http://www.jambase.com/search.asp?band=&venue=&city=&stateID=7&adv=1&fromdate=09%2F06%2F2005&todate=10%2F29%2F2005)
Please discuss any strategies or ideas for promotion here. Having conversed with Tim about this, there is a feeling that we need to pull in at least 500 people. This figure is not that hard to get, if we use our brains and promote correctly. With much of the bands success this past couple of weeks, I feel that the name itself will be enough to get people there.

I have a few ideas for the first wave of blanket promotion. I am working on a strategy for the 2nd and 3rd waves. I am hoping to hit all local colleges with flyers and posters. I would like to get flyers and posters into every record store that sells there album. Every head shoppe in the area. Gas stations, deli\'s. Any place of business where you think a few flyers might benefit us, please list them in this thread.
Thanks in advance for all the help, ideas and hardwork. With the best family in the music business, I believe we can pack the Webster and have a great time. Thanks again.
Almost forgot, Don\'t forget to dress up. Looking forward to seeing my unique and cool costumes.
Peace.

Nice Walsh. Like to hear it.
Talk to TPalms or the Captain. I am not even sure any are printed yet, but I am hoping they are ready soon. Because typical promotions begin 6 weeks prior to a gig.

Question from the computer illiterate. Is there a way to shrink these down and print them as postcard size flyers?
These larger size one are very nice and are very useful.
-
heres an easy print and cut project. just print it scale to fit in the print screen.

DerickW - Works nicely
Is there a way the venue info can be shrunk and the show info increased?
I am heading down to Old Glory right now with a small stack to see what they think. I want to see if anyone takes them over the weekend.
anyone have a place where I can crash?
This is family, somewhere always comes around.

This thread is suppose to be about promotions not a anticipation or discussion about FFO or even TPalms for that matter.
I\'m going to step in and moderate this myself. Get back on track people.
Derick, that is what I am looking for. I think that price of tickets is important and that the address of the venue is not that important yet.
-
yes and its still up in the air.
fixed..

The very next post:
so is their gonna be a theme this year
:chin:
Good flyers derick. I printed some to give to my friends around here. Even if you don\'t live near Hartford, at least give your friends a flyer so the show is an option in their mind.

I didn\'t creat it i just modified it and made it easier to print out mulitple copies. now everyone should go home and print out like 5-10 pages and pass them out to people who might be interested.
DO IT! DO IT!

Hey guys - I have an idea. If people can post on stars wars message boards about the show I think we might be able to get people who aren\'t even into going out to see music to come out for the sheer celebration of Star Wars. We should try to get the hardcores to come out and party with The Breakfast. Also I\'ll be getting a poster that is very star wars based. I post it here and if people can print and put up at comic book shops that would be helpful in hitting the peeps. Just brainstorming to blow it out. peace

"Set phasers on fun....."
Phil: People of Earth,uh er the northeast. We have traveled all the way
from space to attend the most astrotastic event in the entire
universe!
Marty: You said it, Phil. It\'s the bi-monthly Springfield
Sci-Fi Convention, uh er, I mean The Breakfast\'s Fonghoulish
Freakout 7
Phil: That\'s right. It\'s "Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con", I mean FF7. Come meet all your
favorite stars! Tim Palmieri, Chewbacca, uh I mean Jordan
Giangrecco, and many more!
Marty: Plus, tag-team robot wrestling! It\'s the mighty robots of
Battlestar Galactica, versus the gay robots of Star Wars!
Just Breakin Balls.....
This is a great way to hook a bunch of unsuspecting dorks to come get their faces owned and brains melted.....
"Luke, be a Jedi tonight!
Just be a Jedi tonight!
Do it for Yoda, while we serve our guests a soda.
Uh, and do it for Chewie and the Ewoks,
and all the other puppets ...
Luke, be a Jedi tonight!"

OMG I can just imagine what will happen to some of the unsuspecting Star Wars geeks if this idea works @ all. I mean imagine your stereotypical Star Wars geek and then remember what Bfast shows are like. Talk about being overwhelmed. LOL Some ser mind damage may occur!!

this is going to get scary for some people (me).
i don\'t know anything about star wars but someone show me some links to their geeky message boards and i\'ll post something nice-i swear it will be nice!!! :)

Sorry Holly but I really do not think it would be wise to unleash you (no matter how well intentioned you may be) on a star wars msg board. I believe the geekiness would cause you to spontaneously combust in a fit of geek intolerance. I do not think we want you gone just yet!
