just got back from the Seattle show.
They really blew that place up tonight! It was my first time seeing them as a trio and I think I like them better this way. There were approx 60 folks there, give or take, and maybe as much as 80-90 during the opener.
The Breakfast played 2 sets, about 60 minutes each. I couldn\'t tell you a setlist, but I know they played Honey Butter in the first set, a smokin\' Tom Sawyer in the second set, and no encore due to cerfew.
Who\'s got my setlist?

Very interesting the way that Buquebus was split. Not sure if I\'d like it, unless I was able to be at all three nights. Should we just dub this one as Tantra Queeb? Phaddy making a huge come back, or what?

this show may not have been as sick as friday night for multiple reasons (setlist, time constraints), but i really think the band was tighter. adrian and ron seemed to be feeling damn good, and something about their pickups and changes hit me as "on" more so than the previous two nights. especially adrian, he couldn\'t have played any better. HLH > Phaddy owned the first set, DMB a close second. but the jam and segue from Harry to Phaddy really pulled me away from reality. tim\'s comments in Phaddy were about how great Vancouver smelled and to feel free to make Nectar smell great too.

i was fortunate enough to be there all 3 nights, and the split made it absolutely epic. Gencs told me thursday night that they were splitting it up for a finish in Seattle -- so it was sweet knowing itd find its way into each setlist but not knowing when. they fucking tore it up (pt. III) last night, so fluid out of Merge and nothing but heat straight through. Tim is out of his mind with the switches from synth to guitar. you can tell hes having a blast figuring shit out, finding new tweaks and shaping both sounds around each other. he\'s gotten a lot more animated on stage, last time i saw em was about 6 months ago and he just seems stronger and less reserved.
2nd set = quality over quantity. i definitely dont think it reached an hour, but damn was it thick. unfortunately i think the crowd was cut by more than half for the 2nd set from around 100 to 40 or so. those who were there reached new heights, people were clearly floored.
gotta say this was the best weekend ive had in a long, long time. i had an absolute blast in every city, it was great seeing new faces get a taste. gettin down with Gencs, Gavin, and Gabe made it that much better. great crew. just make sure Gabe doesnt handle the bass drum after a show in the future. ;)

I wanted to have the band split up buquebus over the 3 nights in honor of Gabe Buquebus Newman joining us for all 3 pac nw shows.......
probably the best 3 setlists I have ever written....only a couple of minor changes by the band for each night.....
By far the best 3 shows of this tour....
hopefully the cali-az run can top em all....

^^^ top 3 shows ??? portland maybe but i think the other 2 were nothing too fancy

Friday took the cake for me.. although i sensed a little tension that night on stage. tim seemed pissed with the sound guy throughout the first set, irate at moments actually. kept asking for high frequency out of his cabinet(?) facing him during the songs and then called him out inbetween songs at one point. he also wasnt too happy with the merch/sign-up situation post-show. but, that being said, he had some ser adrenaline overall, he was ripping shit up on friday like noones business. the energy friday was the best i thought, and i think the quality of the stage/sound/lights/venue/crowd made the music take off.
VANCOUER = Dopest city in North America. I\'m in love.
