I can\'t even wait to hear the reviews of this show.......or the live recording!!

STL was inverted. I guess maybe the invert no longer warrants an asterisk since it\'s been played like that so many times. Maybe it should get an asterisk for not being inverted? Or maybe "inverted" is now "normal" and vice versa? Whatever. Good times, just got home from moe.\'s party, falling asleep at the keyboard. More later.

Thanx Wolfman. I kinda figured it was but you nvr know. I agree it should just be noted now when it is played ala the album and i believe that is the consensus on .info.

Interesting show. Don\'t know if the fact that I decided to "sideline" one and take a back-row view as I had the habit to do mid-tour back in the dayz or if I could feel that the guys were tired yet laying it all out for a return back home but it was a "special" homecoming fer ser.
In all honesty I can\'t say that when they took the stage I felt the burning "energy" of past 1st sets that I had experienced but the groove was there. Peeps were happy to have their boyz back on the home turf and while not positioned to discuss the intricacies of the song selection and subtle "games" that were played by the band, the rarity of the covers that tickled our eardrums or the guest appearance by Mister Miller I can say that it was DEF a rocking/jamming in your face show that had kids like Spacey looking at the set-list "pad" while droll oozed from their dropped jaw.
Adrian smashed his toys as well as everyones face to wind down the 2nd set. The lights while not a show in itself were perfectly in synch with what the guys were laying down and everything was as tight as you would expect it after 17 shows in under 3 weeks.
I would like to once again thank the band for another stellar show and can\'t wait to the post-Trey show in NYC @ the Lion\'s den.
-
looks like a high energy show!!!!!!!! garcian fishbowl!!!!!!!! that\'s hot!
-

short show imo, 2nd set wasn\'t as long as I wished for but who am I to complain?
nothing a little teamwork can\'t handle to get you a garcian fishbowl.
1st was very much what I wanted. Mayfly after a long break of me not seeing it.
jam>No Regret was interesting.
2nd set\'s jam>sleeping beauty opener, love this tune, only wished it hit the 12 minute mark. Ramble on Rose and Sympathy for the Devil 1st timers. Executed precisely.
Overall, the show was a very good, a great way from the boys to come home. Thank You for the Buquebus too.
speaking of Buquebus, did you make it to Hartford? Got the Garcian Fishbowl and I was looking all around for you.
Goclic, JKing, Daffadil nice to offically meet you!
also, great to see everyone again.
Wolfman, very impressive work with those lights last night. IMHO, this band seemed very professional last evening.
-
Killer setlist... Ramble On Rose is by far my favorite GD song!
-
3 good covers last night, impressed with all of them, most of the time I was asking, where the hell did this song come from?
as the heavy sedation of cold/flu fighters wears off, I am remember more and more from this show! Drum Solo was as good as it ever was. I brought 3 1st timers and I think they all were impressed by all of it.
-
It was my first time seeing Seanaldo play w/ the band, and although the mandolin was hard to hear, he nailed the vocals to Ramble on Rose. Everyone was loving it, it was a giant singalong. He does much better with Jerry tunes than Jordan, IMO. Jordan can still hold down the Bobby tunes quite nicely though. That Hardluck Harry jam was something fierce.
-
Good to see everyone at the shittiest venue in the northeast, but i guess ya cant complain when they are up there bringin the heat like that. Holy shit, what a show...
-
i can\'t believe nobody has mentioned that DMB jam yet....SICK!!!!
-
this is one of thos shows that looks good on paper but is great on disc. every song was played to its potential. there are so many great parts to this show that I am anxiously awaiting this on score, ;) :santa:
-
I see no notation on STL no inversion?
hoops... fixed. the mind does crazy things at 4am, and that slipped by.. as for the */no * argument, inversion has been noted for all this time, i think for consistency, it needs to keep being noted, otherwise, like leith pointed out, you question if it was not inverted.
anyways, fun show. dobs was definitely missed in this already-horribly-sounding venue.. the mix was very low - didn\'t even sound like the mains were on in the second set. but uh... MFD was a ser opener, and they wasted no time bringin\' the Garcian back (note: Paul made multiple people, myself included, spit water before the show, by pronouncing it \'Gay-see-in\').. the tim/adrian thing before NR was extremely cool. the new covers + seanie =. fun.
hopefully we\'ll see a few new .inforumers from the .info cd giveaway last night..
nice to see everyone as always. felt like i made a lot of .info introductions last night, and myself it was great finally meeting jking and Giavanna. (Gia belting a few notes of the Italian Cinderella (i believe) after the show to a crowd of about 15 in the webster could have easily been the highlight of the night!!):thumbsup:
so who got a .info cd?? come say hi if you did. :)

how did the .info cd giveaway go?
-
how did the .info cd giveaway go?
it went.. they went.. :) didn\'t bring as many as i\'d planned/should have.. only did 50 discs/25 shows total - went along the area between the stage and the front row and gave them mostly to kids in front..
-
"Ramble on Rose" and "Sympathy for the Devil"... new covers or Seanie Miller one-timers? I can see Sympathy sticking around, but not RoR (though I don\'t doubt that Jordan can do it well.
-

hey, you say pota-to, I say po-tato. I don\'t believe in the lette "R"

awesome show. Boys were definetly exhausted from the road when you talked to them, but it sure didnt show during the show. Adrian was on fire.
As for dobs, def missed. The mix was horrible, the drums sounded like they were in a cavern. great seeing everyone!
-
garcian>see the light, ramble on rose, born to be wild!! awesome show. i had a lot of fun last night. great seeing everybody and meeting some new people. fun little afterparty, greenleaved sorry i slapped you across the face. moe, walsh, mad thanks for the comfortable floor space and sleeping bag..i definitely passed out earlier than you guys around 5..great show but that venue definitely sucks..dave, please reserve me a .info cd at the next show!!
-
anybody have a guess what the attendance was?
what is contained on the .info cd?
-
I\'ll give a thanks/hey to Dave for the dOTinfo Cd package. HUGE plus to have something fresh to listen to on the way back after I kinda "slipped" on the co-pilot job.
Wound up in New Haven with a final destination of Providence.
Oops.
-
anybody have a guess what the attendance was?
small, very small, probably around 150 maybe 200, just a guess though, place holds around 1000 people.
-
Garcian Fishbowl returns!!
Which song will be next?
Gypsy Girl? Love Lake? Heather? Kote? Prom97\'? Za? Frankly Po Zest? Late and the Great?
Haven\'t heard much of Son of Simpleton (a setlist staple for years) or Merge lately either.
-

I would actually guesstimate high 200\'s low 300\'s but that\'s just that...
Guesstimate.

outstanding work dave, think if 5-10 more people did the same thing...
this show looks sick, along with friday nights crazy setlist too. i cant wait to hear this whole weekend. im officially addicted to Breakfast, thinking about living in my car in CT for a few years.

much like the one last night, i think we do good work, instant gratification is a plus.
imagine the possibilities....
-
garcian>see the light, ramble on rose, born to be wild!! awesome show. i had a lot of fun last night.
Does this mean that you are frequently driving up from VA? In that case, I hope people are giving you extra credit.
-
i was a recipient of the .info cd giveaway. I already had the show though, but i plan on using it to turn on some buddies to the breakfast. last night was great though, great covers and adrian\'s solo made my night

small, very small, probably around 150 maybe 200, just a guess though, place holds around 1000 people.
What\'s the most the guys have pulled into the Webster? I would think it costs them quite a bit to put on a show there. If only 2 or 300 people are showing up in a place w/ that much capacity I would think they lose $$$$ and it sure does not look good to be pulling such a small crowd in their homestate. hmmmmmmmmm

I believe that the previous Webster show was 500/600 people. I don\'t really know what to say about the attendance. Might just have to wait this one out, I don\'t have a clue why people don\'t come to the shows. Webster Theater isn\'t the best venue either, it\'s in a dumpy part of the city.
-
FYI I was talking to the barmaid last night and she was happy about the turn-out also while last show @ the webster was sold-out it was a "holiday" so...
-
Yeah, like I was saying to someone last night. The last few shows at the Webster were Halloween, New Years and a co-bill w/ AGP, so considering that, it seemed like a pretty decent turnout. I\'d say there were more like high 200\'s to low 300\'s like goclic said. It sucks that the bar situation has almost half the crowd as far from the stage as possible, but those that were up front were really getting into it. Definitely a lot of energy down there, and it must\'ve been nice for the band to come home to an excited fanbase.
-
FYI I was talking to the barmaid last night and she was happy about the turn-out also while last show @ the webster was sold-out it was a "holiday" so...
Well if the bar staff is happy it usually means the turn out is solid. Good to hear that.

Yeah, that\'s what I figured as well.
Oh I would be the n00b to whom igz pointed out that it was 10/31 and not Thankagiving that they had last played the Webster btw ;)

maybe the bar staff was happy because the breakfast fans are some SER drinkers, so although there were only a couple hundred there, we did about 500 heads worth of damage.
-
sick show everyone...........glad i met you dave and mama............i can\'t say that i\'m pumped about the next hartford show though, that place suuuucks ! what a jones of a city
-
as long as they play shows like that, i\'ll be sure to be there.
-
bezerker -
every show I go to, you are there!
what are the odds that we have stood shoulder to shoulder?
-
well shit man what do you look like??? i definetly know you\'ve been to all the shows i have. im sure ive seen you lots of people look familiar.

ramble on rose with seanie gave me a full blown boner, and during "goodbye momma and poppa",i actually came in my pants..oh well, shit happens...
i wish there was more kids there, but it was good seeing the family.were growin!!
oh yea,the drunk monk jam=off the chain

Good times again. Wah, Gencs, Dave, Mike, Aruny good to see ya. Giavanna, nice to meet you, hope you made it to wherever you ended up deciding to go safely. Theo, good to meet ya, good to see you found you\'re way. The Tim/Adrian trade-off was pretty sweet, I was in awe. Drum solo, BEST ever that I have seen, he was just tearing it up, I could only stand there in awe, grin from ear to ear, jaw dropped and stare in amazement. As previously mentioned, Sean\'s mandolin was barely hearable, but his singing was nothing short of awesome, he nailed Ramble on Rose. Seth, assuming it was you\'re doing behind the lights, awesome job. I was a lucky recipient of a .info bundle, but gave it away to someone else. As for my guesstimate on attendance, maybe there were 200-300 people, but in my opinion it felt more like 100-150. I think thats cos of the amount of people staying up in the bar area and in that middle section, so I didn\'t really grasp a good idea of the total amount. Still am not a big fan of the webster as a whole though, shitty neighborhood, sketchy workers (except the bartenders, they seem alright), $5 beers, and the fact that no matter how many times I\'ve been there I could never find my way out of there and end up getting on the highway over near the clear channel buidling (last night after dropping someone off at UHartford, we missed a turn and drove down one of the scariest streets I have ever been on.).
-
Sickness...Got my first set opener correct and everything else wrong..but that was definately my first "called" opener....which was a nice personal acheivement....The Webster Theater SUCKS BALLS.....All night all I kept thinking was, "I wish we were at Sully\'s or Porters". Confirmed 1st Breakfast banner thanks to Spacey and crew. I hope that was the first of many.... The Garcian Sandwich was out of control.
Before the show you could see how tired and road weary the boys were. But when they hit the stage it was exactly what i was hoping for and then some.
The Ramble On Rose and Sympathy For The Devil have been played numerous times by the Smokin Boomers. Great to see Seanie up there rocking the shit out of his mandolin...
The whole show was one gigantic highlight. Stand outs in my mind See The Light, Drunk Monk Bar, Born To Be Wild, and the best and most amazing drum solo I have seen to date...I don\'t even remember Buquebus, but I do remember Sympathy....that is strange....
BillyChags and I got so fucking lost in New Britan we ended up picking up 84 towards Waterbury>Rt. 8 south....Long night, but so so worth it.....
The attendance was light, but the show was fucking heavy....
Thanks to MoeTICA for the late night hospitaly....I hope your roommate wasnt too pissed....

regarding the slapping game....tough game that requires contestants to take full out rick james to charlie murphy slaps to the grill....video would have been classic....

Garcian Fishbowl returns!!
Which song will be next?
Gypsy Girl? Love Lake? Heather? Kote? Prom97\'? Za? Frankly Po Zest? Late and the Great?
Haven\'t heard much of Son of Simpleton (a setlist staple for years) or Merge lately either.
Al-Get working on the Lovelake banner, we\'ll hang it at the next show!

Thanks Steph i have been trying to post for a while...just got everything figured out with dave, so should be seeing plenty of me round here in the future...

nice to see everyone as always. felt like i made a lot of .info introductions last night, and myself it was great finally meeting jking and Giavanna. (Gia belting a few notes of the Italian Cinderella (i believe) after the show to a crowd of about 15 in the webster could have easily been the highlight of the night!!):thumbsup:
so who got a .info cd?? come say hi if you did. :)
Thanks Dave! Nice to meet a bunch of folks on my end too! Didn\'t forget about calling your voice mail... ;)
-
it was great seeing folks again, and meeting all the new faces!
as prepared as i tried to make myself, the webster\'s sound sucked so bad that i hardly enjoyed myself, quite frankly. i\'ll certainly never go there again. the folks there seemed harmless enough and my frisk was completely minimal, but the sound was just atrocious. it sounded to me like they have a long-throw pa in a fairly short room, combined with the all cement decor, combined with someone on soundboard who doesn\'t know how to mix the thunder and stomp coming from ron & adrian in order to keep timmy and jordan up enough to still be effective (though, to his credit, that\'s an unenviable spot to be put in, especially in that room, but i digress) and you get a muddied, garbled crapfest. hell, when i was down front, i was about five folks back on ron side, in between him and the pa speaker, and i couldn\'t hear timmy. AT ALL. keys were louder than vocals, vocals were louder than timmy, ron seemed too loud and there was no definition in the different drums. back in the back (its bad enough we can\'t smoke inside, but to keep the drinkers at the back? what kind of bizarre marketing strategy is that???) by the bars, it sounded far superior to in front of the soundboard, and by far superior, i mean just better than awful. at least you could hear the damn guitar! not well, mind you, but you could. and i love some of those fast as hell muted, percussive string strums that timmy throws around, but they were completely lost as was anything quiet or mellow. and you could only barely hear the keys.
its a good thing that ron\'s a freakin\' rockstar though! he kept the energy and grooves high all night, and since he was the predominant musician of the night mix-wise, that\'s a really good thing! but i never have a problem with extra ron ! i thought maybe it was just me, i tried moving to different spots, but the end result is that i was outside having a smoke for the end of buquebus and the encore because i couldn\'t hear well enough to become engaged in the show.... which *really* sucks....
now then, that being said, from what i could tell the guys were having a lot of fun and some of the jams seemed amazingly ser!! i got to see a see the light which was all i really wanted to, and i enjoyed it as much as possible, as well as what the funk and drunk monk bar (both of which i haven\'t seen). second set i don\'t remember as well, simply because i was having such a hard time hearing/getting into the show. the drum solo was incredible, though. that boy\'s like nitrous in a yugo, i tell ya!!!
all in all i had a decent time seeing and meeting folks and hanging out, but the webster can suck my swamp ass for all i care! i can\'t wait to *hear* the breakfast again! 6/8 headlining at the funk box.... until then, i guess i\'ll just have to download! ;)

its a good thing that ron\'s a freakin\' rockstar though! he kept the energy and grooves high all night, and since he was the predominant musician of the night mix-wise, that\'s a really good thing! but i never have a problem with extra ron ! i thought maybe it was just me, i tried moving to different spots, but the end result is that i was outside having a smoke for the end of buquebus and the encore because i couldn\'t hear well enough to become engaged in the show.... which *really* sucks....
now then, that being said, from what i could tell the guys were having a lot of fun and some of the jams seemed amazingly ser!! i got to see a see the light which was all i really wanted to, and i enjoyed it as much as possible, as well as what the funk and drunk monk bar (both of which i haven\'t seen). second set i don\'t remember as well, simply because i was having such a hard time hearing/getting into the show. the drum solo was incredible, though. that boy\'s like nitrous in a yugo, i tell ya!!!
all in all i had a decent time seeing and meeting folks and hanging out, but the webster can suck my swamp ass for all i care! i can\'t wait to *hear* the breakfast again! 6/8 headlining at the funk box.... until then, i guess i\'ll just have to download! ;)
I can\'t begin to tell you how much I agree with this. I really don\'t feel like I even experienced a show. How can you have your face melted when you can\'t even remotely hear what is going on? I definetly did not get my fix, and I needed it after the long hiatus.
Bring it to Sully\'s for a make-up!

Yeah Dave thanks alot for the uac show. Very ser show. The webster wasn\'t too bad either. I had a great time but it didn\'t compare well to the last couple of shows i\'ve been too. usually it\'s the other way around, they just get better every night. shitty sound was definately part of It. highlights for me were drunk monk (i saw a ser loogie fly out of Jordan\'s mouth when he was singin) and bequebus which was insane. lookin forward to the stone church!
-
well I would have to say that is the worst sounding venue I have ever been at. In maine we have the state theater which years ago sounded horrible. It has gotten much better. This is the first time anything has reminded me of that place. Anyone who thought the second set sounded different they are completly correct. The drums where not going through the the pa very much at all if anything. I remember standing in front of the speakers and moving to the back and really notice a difference. Anyway I was certainly glad I went about 3 3/4 hours each way had to go to work oooffffff. Great show! Sounds alot better then I remember. Lights were great good job wolfman :disco:
stone church is gonna be sick , talk about a complete difference. This place is one of the best sounding rooms around, everyone should try to go to this.

Jocelyn won\'t be able to rely on the snowstorm excuse if she misses this NH show.
-
PFFT.
Besides, my excuse was something other than the snowstorm. I have A LOT of excuses these days. I wish I didn\'t, because they\'re all real and they all suck.
I\'m just trying to be like antbach.
Although I suppose ant has been in attendance lately, so I suppose I should step it up a notch.

there should be many people at the stone church show. i\'ve been running around giving everyone over 18 flyers, and most of them plan on attending, so hopefully there will be a really big turn out for pb and they will busttt out.
-
I just uploaded my pics from this show if anyone is interested.

how\'d the banner pics come out?

Great, if i didn\'t erase them. i figure it this way i wouldn\'t have gotten my last 10 or so pics if i didn\'t

Probably Gypsy Girl, though I would like to see them all return.
-
hey dave, did you get any good pics?? just checkin.....
-
what shall we unearth next?
Kote, without question. It\'s the best song they ever shelved, it fuckin rocks. It\'s been so long since they played it that it would be like having a new original. Lots of fans have never heard it or heard of it. Dobson, their sound guy for over two years, had never heard of it when I asked him a couple of weeks ago. This is TB\'s Destiny Unbound.
KOTE.
