i agree not a great episode, but it had it\'s moments.

I\'m really hoping Doc doesn\'t die, he\'s a great character.

Not sure exactly what Odelle is trying to pull off but I smell trouble.  Hearst is def on his last legs, get Wu\'s pigs ready there\'s gonna be a war in Deadwood.

Can someone tell me who the guy is that plays Odelle, he looks sooo familiar.

Finally got a chance to catch up on my HBO shows, watched the last two episodes of Deadwood and Entourage.

You can def feel everything coming to a head in Deadwood.  LOved the final scene with Al singing what sounded like an older version of "the streets of loredo"  The whole Amatuer night thing was hilarious. (that was considered a talent??)  Also loved the moments with aunt lou and Richardson, checking the noches and her crying with him.  can\'t wait to see how everything comes to a head with Hearts army and the elections.

Ok I was gonna let this thread die, cause no one seems to give a shit, but last sunday\'s episode may have been the best one of the season thus far.  Loved Al jumping off the balcony to aid Mrs. Ellsworth, the whole thing with Hurst\'s guy and finding out aobut the "army" on it\'s way.  Loved Al\'s speach to Hurst after he killed his guy to perfect.

the only thing that really got me about this episode is the sstoryline with Jane, something about it just doesn\'t work for me.  It seems unnecesarry

The show is based in historical events, so the eventual outcome is certain.

But I still can\'t help but think when ever I watch, wouldn\'t it be too damn easy to just shoot Hearst?  I mean, he\'s a cocksucker, and everone hates him.  After all this is the Wild West.  Isn\'t that how problems are solved?

Another thing I found interesting- The real Al Swearengen was about 35 when these events took place.  (Ian McShane is in his 60\'s; though I believe they attempting to portray Sweargen as around 45-50)  He was much closer in age to Bullock than to Hearst, though in the show it\'s the opposite.
Think about a much younger man playing Swearengen.  It would be a completely different show.  That said McShane is the best part of the whole show.

My uncle just got back from DeadWood. He quit his job a few months ago and has been travelling the country going to different places and odd places. He is supposedly writing a book or something. If I can dig up his travel blog, it has a section of Deadwood that some of you might find interesting.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

I\'m a big fan of old west history.  I\'ve actually been to Deadwood myself. (family vacation as kid) They have casinos there now.  It\'s come full circle.

WOW! what an episode.Only one left people.  Was very sad to see Ellsworth go :(  He has come such a long way from being the drunk in the first few episodes.  He had become endearing.  I think we may see Trixie go in the next episode as well.  and from the "next week" peview it looks like Johnny is gonna get himself in a heap of trouble too.will bullock and Mrs. Garret/Ellsworth get back together?  "Wu,big man."

btw:I like Brian Cox\'s character (the actor).  He\'s a little out of place but it works, I like the little snippets he adds.

With no idea when these "movies" are coming, I find that ending almost frustrating.  But I guess they gotta keep you waitng for more.  Some very tense moments, wasn\'t sure if Al was gonna get away for a second.

All in all I don\'t think this season quite lived up to the first two, but very good none the less.  I read somewhere that the David Milch is busy working on another series for HBO (a surfer sotry) so the destiny of Deadwood is up in the air...... for the time being

yeah i agree.  the season as a whole was good, but that last episode was a little anticlimactic.  i wasn\'t paying 100% attention, so maybe i should watch again.  but all this raising of arms and bringing back hawkeye and wu just to see hearst off was a little weak.  again, maybe they have something planned for the final 2 whenever those come around, but i dunno, they could\'ve ended the season better than that.
