This just in:
I will most likely NOT be at this show.  Through a series of fortunate happenings, I have discovered an opportunity to travel to Europe and have a place to stay and good people to travel with for a week.  I will be flying out this day, so unless I can arrange a flight for right after the show (dejavu, The sTaint) I will have images dancing in my head of everyone raging hard while I stare down at the big blue Atlantic Ocean from high in the sky.

Have fun everybody :-)

if there is some kind of flyer I could try and hang some up but like I said, the closest I\'ll get to Hartford is probably the Enfield area (20 minutes outside hartford).  I could also just print them off if one is made up.

Also, for future shows, does anybody have some kind of breakfast sampler cd to hand out for promotion?  I was thinking one that is made up entirely of the 3 piece band.  I only own 1 show (haloween) so I couldn\'t make one up.....if somebody has one or a couple shows that could get to me I\'d love to make up some kind of sampler to hand out also.

i have samplers and fliers..... now. how to get them to you...... outside hartford is just fine man, anything anywhere you can help out will indeed help out.

<<---- I\'ll be passing out flyers @ the pool hall tonight.  As much as I hate the Webster, the more people that are in that place, the better the sound quality.  So, to guarantee that I have a good time, I\'ll try to FILL the place to max capacity!!!

I\'ll print out the fliers and hang some up.  If you could get me a copy of that samplier (or if somebody is in the process of making up a newer version) I can start getting some of those around also...if not for the webster, definetly for upcoming western mass shows (which need to happen more frequently around the NoHo area, those shows are usually packed and raging)

well doors are at 6, first band at 6:30.

worst case scenario, we\'ll be playing at 6:30.

we\'re having trouble selling tickets because we aren\'t very well known, but i know for a fact we could get some breakfast heads down with our sounds.

That is a pretty rough time slot.  Does The Webster really anticipate that many alcoholic bums at the bar that early, to justify a 6:30 band?
Title: Webster Theatre; Hartford, CT
Post by: lespecial on May 16, 2007, 08:37:59 pm
no its just a way to maake a little more money for them.

here\'s how it works...if you sign up for an opening slot, they mail you 50 or so tickets. the band who sells the most gets the slot right before the headliner.

the band with the least tickets sold plays when no one is there....as of now thats probably us, which makes me sad because i know we can throw down hard enough to blow some breakfastheads minds

Hey man, shoot me a message through our myspace (just go to http://www.LaMSV.com) we should set some shows up together, if you are interested.
We were lucky enough to get a lot of our friends down for the show in Feb. but now we have gotten a pretty nice little crowd in the past few months and I know people would be down with you guys.

Btw I beleive my band is the "main opening" band right before the Breakfast so I hope some of you check us out...you might remeber us from a corner pocket show with The Good Time Boys a couple months back.

And yeah playing the Webster sucks when it comes to ticket sales, but that what they got to do....

As a functional alcoholic, I take great exception to your "bum" comment.  We\'re all not "bums".  Some of us have great jobs, that we make it to every day.  Sure, maybe we\'re still schnockered from the night before.  But damn it, we\'re there and we\'re makin\' shit happen... at least for the first few hours (before the buzz turns into a hangover).

So next time I see you Zurflu, I\'m gonna take that Wall Street Journal "Neck Tie of the Month" that your wearin\', and cram it up your Rush Limbaugh hole (with your neck still attached to it).

Les!  Hope to make it in time to catch some of your set.  You definitely sputtered my interest.  But, I do have to work (zurflu!!), so we\'ll see.

<-debaiting saying fuck it, staying up all night and going to the show...

Broseph, sometimes you just gotta say "fuck it".  I think tonight is one of those nights....

See you all at the Webster....early doors, 6pm i think......i hope everyone gets a free ticket,  if there are any left on our end, i will grab a stack and hit the parking lot as showtime approaches.....

Well, I could use more than a beer at this point but I\'m a very spontanious drinker so it all depends where the night takes me.

I could use a new job to while we\'re at it.
