Hello out there in Inner Glimpse land!!!
Just wondering what the greatest video game sound tracks and songs are in everyone\'s humble opinion. Mixing my two biggest hobbies here, Video Games and Music.
I\'m a big fan of Dr. Mario music. The menu music is great, Fever is pretty good too, but Chill is the best. Gotta love the little synth solo, though it\'s no Buquebus... I don\'t know if it\'s the greatest soundtrack seeing as there are only a total of three songs in the game
Yeah this is a little ludicrous and maybe even obsessive, but if you can\'t be ludicrous and obsessive with ser-heads and brekkies, who else is there?

how cool would an old-school video game freakout be?

considering i spend 95% of the day with my head in my ass, you basically just said "I like your ass", and frankly, i\'m not sure how i feel about that, jim.

i actually thought about that last year when I was waiting for a theme.
-
it would be tough to pull off as far as learning and perfecting all the tunes, but the payoff would be fantastic. sure it\'s geeky, but it\'s something that fits \'our\' generation perfectly, and the possibilities for costumes and props are pretty much endless.

"our" generation is a very broad term on this board
BTW: what is that a picture of in your new avatar dave?
-
Dave, huzzah and kudos to you. That could be the best premise for a freakout yet besides last year\'s Ser Wars theme. If it wasn\'t for the brilliant execution of the Episode 3 premiere and the sets centered around the previous episodes I\'d say you take the cake. Just don\'t eat it in your ass.

i\'d be willing to bet about 80% of this crowd owned an original NES..
the avatar - go up to the top, click \'search\', and search for enormous blue dildo and you will get your answer.
i\'m dead serious.

How do you think he gets his head up there? You can\'t just shove stuff in there without the proper training. You need to work it with big blue over there get it used to the large objects. Buy yours now and you too can have your head up your ass 95% of the day. Amaze your friends!!!

Best music is Contra Waterfall and Castlevania Level 5. Pretty much any level from Mega Man II is also very solid, with Crash Man leading the way. Also much of the music from The Guardian Legend is pretty haunting.
I would love to be Simon Belmont for Halloween!
Dave, you could bring the PexBox to FF8 and charge 25c a play. Money Day!!!!

To the 2006 Fongoulish Freakout committee: please include Jim Cobb on your rendition of Sonic the Hedgehog.
-
My favorite video game music is from inside the pipes on Super Mario 3, when you get the electronic-drum remix of the music on levels 2-2 and 4-2 from the original Super Mario.
And that\'s a fun, fitting, unique idea as far as Freakout themes. I\'m going as Gleeok.
