the grav jam was schwizz.

the queb was gnarly AGAIN.

THe sir psycho jam was great.

I really enjoyed this show. They hit some very nice funky but mellow, kinda phishy grooves.

funny scene. Brought me back to my college days. There was like 200 indian exchange students up stairs with indian disco dance party. A bowling alley. ohhhh yah. hah. There was free fountain soda all night and the kid in charge of security had a big ole bottle of jim beam. we smoked a fatty boom baddy in crowd and someone called security! oh no!!!! hhahahaha.

I missed a show back in MA but my girlfriend and all my boys caught it and thought it was the best they\'ve ever seen Breakfast.

I drove 2 hours (and 3 and half hours on the way back.... ooops), brought my buddy and dragged a couple Breakfast noobs out there. Anyway, that was the sickest Breakfast I\'ve ever seen. Tim on that Stratocaster is fucking amazing, I think he should use that guitar 90% of the time from now on, for real, that guitar teamed up with his skills is way more rockin than the Tele and way more versatile... and I noticed he added a Boomerang to his setup. So I thought that was pretty cool, as a Strat player and Boomerang user/lover...

less stoned rambling and to the point: The best place to smoke was definitely on the bench in the quad between two ghetto lookin\' dorms to the right of the student center.

Sickest Buquebus I\'ve heard.
Message in a Bottle was the best I\'ve heard.... though I\'ve seen them do this song so many times.... that scene def could have used a May Fly hehehe

Yeah.... best Breakfast I\'ve seen. It\'s been a few shows since I\'ve been able to say that ;)

...

Oh yeah, and of course 2 new, completely blown away Breakfast fans :D

jam>cut me some slack=fuckin awesome! totally unexpected and i usually don\'t think of cmss as a typical opener song, but LOVED IT. LDZ>HDX was ridiculous, my first time seeing an HDX performed  love sir psycho, definitely one of my favorite covers that the band does, also one of my favorite rhcp songs of all time. 2001-SER HIGHLIGHT FOR ME..first time seeing the band play this, AWESOME!!!

as for late night, not too exciting..a bunch of retards in one of the three hotel rooms. nothing too out of the ordinary, tka humping josh dobson, falling asleep somewhere around 5AM to happy gilmore, the usual.

big thanks to greg\'s mom for having everyone over yesterday afternoon and making a delicious baked ziti/sandwich/salad meal. that hit the spot and also just reminded me off how we had to pull off the highway really fast cause fitz was about to pee in my car and didn\'t even make it into the gas station in time.

well..we were on the highway and had lost greg ellis at this post (possibly the worst driver i have encountered/worst person to follow/nicest mom) and chris announced that he had to go #1. i told him that i would get off at the next exit and he said that \'this had never happened to him before\' but wanted me to pull over on the side of the highway, which todd, mandler and i decided was not a good idea. getting off the next exit, he keeps on saying shit like \'i only have 45 seconds guys\'. it was at this point that we started talking about beautiful water falls and making watery sounds (ssssss, gsshhh). coming up on the gas station he\'s like \'i have 15 seconds, no more..not kidding, i\'m a vegetarian, etc\'...as i\'m pulling into the station, he opens the door while i\'m still driving to pull up to the station store so i have to stop very abruptly. next thing you know, the kid runs out of the car, not in to the gas station but onto someone\'s lawn next door and comes this close to wetting himself, but luckily was able to pee on their fence in plain view.

speaking of which, im shocked at the diversity this song is played at.. the first couple versions i heard were really short, and i gotta go look now again but one version i just got from this summer was something around 10 minutes. it fuckin rocked my ass off too. definitely want to hear it live real bad now.

as for MIAB, i think its a solid cover.. The Other One and Peaches still take the cake for me though.

MIAB is a good song but there is really no variance in what they do to it...they all sound the same, so I can see people getting tired of it.  This is another reason why they should play "Kings", by Steely Dan.  It is perfect for Ron\'s voice and there is a middle section with a guitar solo that TPalms could go of on.  It has many layers and with the solo section they could veer off into new waters with every version.  I vote "Kings".

I love Kings (and the entire album "Can\'t Buy a Thrill" for that matter).  I would love to hear more Steely covers if I had to pick a single band.  "Aja" performed by Tim solo isn\'t enough.  Anyone remember the smoking "My Old School" performed at the Equipment Relief Benefit show 4 years ago?

we were all pretty exhausted at this show, but what a fun time!

the student union building that the undergrounds was in is incredible! arcade with ~20 games, an 8-lane bowling alley, pool hall with ~10 pool tables, 4 ping pong tables in another room, etc.. the pre-show bowling was a blast, and according to adrian, was one of their coolest perks ever. :D

the undergrounds was a pretty cool room, though there were couches and chairs everywhere.. there were about 110 people in the room at its fullest.. decent show overall, but defintiely a cool atmosphere..

thanks to ellis-d and his mom for having us over in the afternoon. the food really hit the spot. the frisbee game was pretty intense. throwing a 3 oz frisbee on a 20º sloped hill was a huge challenge. it took a lot of trial and error to get the uphill throw figured out, but the frisbee was so light that it made it easy to catch and do combos pretty well. anyone can throw a real frisbee on level ground, but i thought this was a lot more fun.

undergrounds was cool. the best part was the free bowling down the hall from where the band was playing! I havent bowled in at least 12 years,  but i was doing pretty well by the end and i won the last game after getting a turkey and a couple spares. i was pretty much dead by the time the band went on. i only got a couple hours of real sleep at the hotel the night before. after frisbee at ellis-d\'s mom\'s place and bowling before the show i was dunzo. i had to take a nap from no glove thru sir psycho in the second set, but i got the sleep i need to keep me going  from that point on. Holly, thanks for waking me up just before buquebus. i was wide awake once i heard the first few notes. i would not have been happy at all if i found out i slept thru a buquebus.

thanks to everyone who was looking out for me this weekend. especially holly, elisa, stephengencs, and todd. without you guys i would probably be either dead, stranded somewhere upstate, in jail, or even worse...at home all weekend missing out on the fun. This may not have been the best run ever musically, but it was the most fun i have had on a breakfast run in a long time. i hated to see it end, but its nice to be back home again. my own bed has never felt as comfortable as it did last night.

no need for a change of pants, but it came dangerously close. todd and manhandler did not understand the serness of the whole situation when they started rambling on about waterfalls and making sound effects. normally that sort of thing doesnt effect me, but this time it was hilarious and i couldnt help but to laugh.

the flood gates were open and i felt like i had just stopped mid piss. i had to use every muscle in my body hold it in and all of my concentration to and tune them out to keep myself from laughing again because that made the warning clock tick twice as fast. i lost my concentration when i gave the 15 second warning, so i had to start banging the door and windows as hard as i could to tune them out. i hope i didnt break anything in hollys car, but if i did its still better than it smelling like piss forever.

i jumped out of the car as it was still moving and ran into the front yard of the house next door. it was either that or behind the gas pump were people were pumping gas. i made it with a nanosecond to spare. :holyshit:

Ha....I was wondering what was the deal with Todd\'s avatar.....Classic....Though not as classic as Fitzy sleeping at the big round table at Richters during Timmy Tour a couple of weeks ago...

^^^^ i didnt wake you up because todd was taking pictures.  there were people dancing  and bumping into your head the whole set and you sometimes picked up your head and looked around, then passed right back out.  i tapped you on the shoulder during sir pyscho and you looked around for a second, got up, and started dancing like nothing happened.  then you made your way back to the couch after about a minute or 2........ and somehow woke up to the mysterious power of buquebus.  it was a really funny time

wow.

i walked out to grab another blackberry wheat during message in a bottle. i dont remember walking back inside the room the band was playing in. the next thing i knew i was on the couch and holly was asking me if i was alright. i jumped up and a few seconds later the band went into buquebus.

i didnt believe anyone when i heard we were in the second set because i thought maybe only a couple minutes had passed

i\'m not really sure when i realized how wasted you were as i was in the semi typical drunk bitch mode myself. (tickler had the excellent idea of sneaking beer in fountain cups w/ lids and drinking it through a straw) it could have been at the bowling alley when you pretty much threw a 13 pound bowling ball at me, when you asked me if i wanted to use your ear plugs or when you brought me a single shoe from my car...you were in great form on saturday

fitzy was in a SER chair-slouch-sleep during setbreak, and ellis tried to wake him up (albeit by flicking his ears and laughing), but got no reaction whatsoever. :D
