http://www.jambands.com/Jambands250/ (http://www.jambands.com/Jambands250/)
Question: Which of these bands would you like to see perform at the 2005 Jammy Awards?
go VOTE! b\'fast is currently #28! let\'s move them up the ladder!
-
done, remeber not to vote for anyone else
-
currently 23... we helped get these guys the "Best New Groove" Jammy or whatever they call it, we best be getting them on that stage- it is a breeding ground for all sorts of collabs/melting of minds..get your Grandmas to vote, anyone who has a computer.. I am ser.
-
voted, but let me tell you if gramps had a computer there\'s only one thing he would be looking at and it rhymes with lesbian porn
-
just moved up to 21! just about ready to pass that once grateful band now The Dead!
-
i think i just pushed us ahead of the dead..
-
Movin up and quickly.......
# 19
-
With these Jamband.com polls I am always amazed at some of the ridiculous bands that are so high up on the list....
-
With these Jamband.com polls I am always amazed at some of the ridiculous bands that are so high up on the list....
Never even heard of some of the bands on the list! How do they even come close to having a larger fanbase?
-
you can vote multiple times!
now up to 18 or tied for that matter!
-
#17
-
did you guys know that it will let you keep voting each time you come back to the original link.
-
i just voted like 40 more times and they are still at #17
-
at 16 now! its nice to see Particle at #39....god I hate that band. Even the Big Wu is ahead of them. ha ha ha ha ha
-
13! pretty good effort people...as long as we can get them ahead of umphrey\'s mcgee, don\'t really see what the big deal is with that band-i know i\'m gonna get shit for saying that but i\'ve seen them a couple of times and just don\'t care for them
-
Alright, we are right behind the Disco Biscuits at #13. What did we start at today? 28? At this rate, we should be on top in no time. Solid participation from somewhere and someone.
-
have you all been voting over and over and over and over and over? I have... I think its working. just starte at your screen and keep clicking....would be great to get above WSP.
-
^^^^^Good effort from S. Dakota.
A+
-
tied for 12 after my vote.....
NICE....
"Go Banana!"
-
just voted and tied with the biscuts at #12
-
My 10 votes pushed Bisquits back to 13
-
good job Todd!
Now its time to unseat those suckers from Chicago.
-
I\'ll do up a photoshop banner and stick it on the site, get people to click on it.
-
I just voted 50 times and it didn\'t seem to change the results even one tenth of a percent.
-
I voted for moe.
just kidding, 1 more for the Breakfast.
-
they know where the clicks are coming from...
i forget what the poll was, but a couple years ago they had a poll, and PB was way down in the list. Phish was #1 by a mile. well, i set up a macro to keep voting for PB and left it going overnight.. PB was soon #1, and i soon got a nasty email from jambase.. :) i think kroopy got one as well..
-
Well, duh!!! Yeah, if they get 30,000 votes in 18 hours, of course they\'re gonna suspect something......but 20-30 per person.....they can\'t be bothered imo
-
fuck that.. Widespread head and shoulders above everyone, thats a joke. Umphreys a close 2nd, honestly Umphrey\'s success (compared to TB.. i know Umph is still better than a lot of bands) comes down to their location more than anything. think if The Breakfast came out of Chi-town and Umph was from CT. Power in numbers people, its really, really sad. relativity sucks!
-
by the way, i havent stopped voting and will not stop until i go to bed. :strong:
-
yet the phish thing was funny cuz wasnt it the newyear \'02 that they came back from hiatus and next day (psych)breakfast were topping them in searches (although the Tobacco Road show was fuckin off the HOOK)..little suspicious. But hey, i bet Relix or whoever would rather pay a few measley bucks to a few kids from \'staven to get a little lime light than a already established band like UM/DB..etc...so keep on voting!!!!
-
i know Umph is still better than a lot of bands) comes down to their location more than anything. think if The Breakfast came out of Chi-town and Umph was from CT. Power in numbers people, its really, really sad. relativity sucks!
Good point
-
i thought UM was a decent band until I heard the Breakfast tear down Toad\'s. It\'s just a matter of time before they hit the midwest hard. I know there is a fan base growing outside of New England! It takes a little patience but before we know it, they will be playing places too big and we will all be complaining how large it got so quick! :awwyeah:
-
true. their music says, "It\'s inevitable."
-
as a total music lover, and the feeling that Phish was done, I began looking for a new band to devote my time to. Tried Particle, Umphreys (really believed they were the one), even the Disco Biscuits couldn\'t do it for me. It\'s not that any of the above mentioned aren\'t good, its that the Breakfast are that good. No other band is working as hard as these guys are to make it. People notice that when it comes down to it. Besides, The Breakfast are not your typical "Jam Band". The best thing Phish every did was picking a band name that could go any genre, the good ol\' Breakfast have that now. Besides, the fans are the coolest and probably won\'t die at a late night gig!!!
-
i agree, almost fully. but (if i catch shit for this thats cool)... the name still holds em back a little bit. we all can see past it with no problem, i think most cant. its sad.
-
Well, duh!!! Yeah, if they get 30,000 votes in 18 hours, of course they\'re gonna suspect something......but 20-30 per person.....they can\'t be bothered imo
it\'s their fault for not writing their code so each person can only vote once. What did they think was going to happen?
-
Ok, I\'ve added this to the news page on thebreakfast.org, click the banner, it submits your vote for The Breakfast. It\'s that easy.
-
we\'ve technically broken into the tenth spot... w/ 2.4% of the votes, just .2% below SCI. Animal Liberation Orchestra, Assembly of Dust, and Tea Leaf Green are all tied @ 8th with 3.2% if I remeber correctly.. keep voting my fellow citizens
--------------------------------------------------although this is always brought up, reading the names of the Jambands250 is quite embarrassing. Poor Bobby, Ratdog is just below a band called w00kie f00t..
-
almost in the top 10
-
Been trying to vote for ages - jambands keeps timing out on me.:(
-
have you ever heard wookie foot or seen any of their fans? They are a strange group of people. THey all get cracked out and dress up like a bunch of teenagers on acid. The fans are more annoying than WP fans. When you see one you\'ll know what I\'m talking about.
-
Poor Bobby, Ratdog is just below a band called w00kie f00t..
Good! Ratdog sucks!
-
The fans are more annoying than WP fans.
Please explain what that\'s supposed to mean....
-
Wookies are almost as annoying as the cracked out Widespread Panic fans.
Here you go....

Ever seen that guy or any of his followers before? I hope TB doesnt have any fans like this.

His name is Wook #17 - famous on Phishhook.
-
creepy
-
Cracked out Panic fans? LOL that\'s a joke! Out of all the jambands out there, WP fans are far and away the most normal! The guys are normal looking & the chicks are HOT... ie no fucking stinkin\' ass wooks (very few, at least) or nasty chicks with a family of squirrels living under their armpits!

holy hijacked thread, batman!
-

2 words. 1 name......Walsh Mahoney
-
hey just voted myself and we are at # 12
-
<<<<<<<<< just voted for brothers past..
their new album sucks balls,if i may be so bold....
-
With these Jamband.com polls I am always amazed at some of the ridiculous bands that are so high up on the list....
It\'s because you can vote over and over. You can even set up a bot to click the links and vote over and over and over. But I don\'t know anyone who would do that...
-
Now at #11!
-
now tied for the 10 spot w/ Assembly of Dust @ 3.1% of the votes..who the hell are the Greyhounds?? they\'ve been consistently at 5 or 6...
-
I just voted at least 200 more times and didnt move them up at all. They must have put a limit on it now.
-
There are probably tens of thousands of votes now. 200 votes might equal .05% if you\'re lucky. Doubt they\'ve capped it!!!
-
1. Widespread Panic 9.6%
2. Umphrey\'s McGee 7.5%
3. New Monsoon 6.0%
4. moe. 5.7%
5. Trey Anastasio 5.1%
6. Railroad Earth 3.8%
7. Tea Leaf Green 3.4%
8. Greyhounds 3.3%
9. ALO 3.3%
10. The Breakfast 3.2%
holding #10 by ourselves.
-
currently @ #7.. the funny thing is that the band is going to be down south the week of the Jammy\'s. They have the 26th off, but if I remeber correctly will be between Carolina\'s the 25th and 27th...Relix will need to buy some 1st class plane tickets, if this is to happen..
-
I just voted at least 200 more times and didnt move them up at all. They must have put a limit on it now.
total vote count is gonna be way higher than a couple days ago, so its gonna be real difficult for it to move from now on. there should be a designated time tomorrow where everyone has to go balls out for about an hour. if we had like 10 people voting away fiercely i bet wed make up some ground.
-

I had thought that they were going to be presenting this year\'s New Groove winner the jammy. SC > NYC > TN ???? UGGGHHHH!!!!
-
Best Thing To Do Is Deffinatley Enough People Write Relix People And Express Our Desire To See Breakfast Grace The Stage At The Jammys..shit Id Help Pay To Fly Thoes Guys Back Up For A Night To See Them Up There Using Some Equipment Then Back South
-
HAH! i just got them from 3.8% to 3.9%!!
-
alllright, this is good stuff. look whos next on the list guys..... attack!
-
we all know who has the better guitarist! fire away people!
I feel so special being 0.1% of the voting population, heh, 4.0%!
-
haha! 4.0%
-
Put in 20 votes earlier - will keep doing so on a regular basis. Will be interesting to see if we can get them top 5, and then if the organisers take any notice.
-
anyone know if i click really fast on the vote button so that it keeps getting pushed before the results page loads, will each time i click it register as 1 vote, or do i have to click, wait for the results page, hit back, vote, wait, etc....?
-
you probably have to vote and wait for the reload... who knows...
22 spots moved in 4 days.. pretty serious fan involvment here, it\'s nice to see The Breakfast around some of the "big name" jambands. I think it looks good that they are constantly moving up, hope to unseat the UM Chicago band but that some serious voting still to do...
-

That is a funny thing to picture- Breakfast fans sitting at their computers clicking like mad for hours and hours....
-
you probably have to vote and wait for the reload... who knows...
That\'s why I put the banner on the breakfast.org. It doesn\'t take you to the vote page, it just casts your vote when you click it. So click the vote banner, it processes the vote, then click back to the main page and do it all over. No waiting for their data to displace.
-
Cruz is surely on top of things! Couldn\'t make it any easier!
-
cruz just so you know on the jambands.com site, the link goes to www.jambands.com/cgi-bin/jb250.cgi (http://www.jambands.com/cgi-bin/jb250.cgi) .... and yours goes to www.jambands.com//cgi-bin/jb250.cgi (http://www.jambands.com//cgi-bin/jb250.cgi) .... not sure if thats the exact link but my point is there are two slashes there, and i just want to make sure that this isnt a mistake. if would be a shame to have people think they\'re voting but in fact they are not.
-
Jim- I must commend you for your eye for detail. Hell, if there were three slashes instead of one, I def. wouldn\'t have noticed... keep voting peeps
-
4.7%... we\'re comin\' Trey.
-
this is hilarious... i could see jambands.com making a visit on breakfast.info and reading this entire thread, getting pissed, but then not really being able to do anything. i mean shit, they set it up with this possibility, everyone else could vote over and over for their band, but we\'re the only fans that are soo devoted! yyyesss.
-
speaking of which, off to cast another 30-40 votes
-
gonna go be a dork and vote a hundred more times, tryin to take over Trey.
Trey 5.0%
TB 4.9%
-
shit, after trey > moe. and New Monsoon are 5.7%, we pass one we pass both which means we\'re standing all alone in 3rd.
i say no problem, by the end of tomorrow we should be there.
-
Serious fan statement being made here on Jambands.com, looks so sweet to be in the top 5. Since I have nothing else to do at the moment, I \'ll go vote! Putting The Breakfast in the top spot is probably gonna happen.
-
right on, brah :)
-
anyone know when this voting ends? its gotta be soon.
-
 Woohoo!!!! Trey takes a digger!!!!!!!!! #5 owned.confirmed!!!
-
gordo, i believe this poll ends sometime in April probably if not the 26th but I think by Monday we might be in the top 3 if not numero uno!
-
Voting on the awards ends 4/22. Who plays there voting has to end well before that I would think.
-
just got my ticket for the jammys.
we\'d better step up the votin, trey is tryin to make a comeback.
-
says who Mr. Cobb?! attack people, attack!
:starwars:
-
Five Point Two Motherfucking Percent
-
im pumping away cobbs, lets see how long it will take to get to .3, go...
-
W E W I L L G E T Y O U N E W M O N S O O N!!!!!
edit: come on this is totally one of those situations where caps are applicable. but alas, i will bypass the system
-
For sure, all of them are going down! UM % ratings continue to drop! :hehehe:
We will be on top soon enough, keep up the hard work!
-
i wish we knew exactly how many votes everyone had so we could have some sort of goal.
-
my boss: "wow jason, you look really intent!"
me: "5.3...."
my boss: "well, ok then.... keep on with that... i guess"
me: "muahhhhaahhhhaaahhhhaaaaa...."
-
Keep It Up,folks!!
-
i think i\'m up to somewhere around 500 votes today.
-
Now Monsoon And Moe Must Go Down!!!
-

-

Thats Honestly, and On Top Of That,im Just Joshin Ya Brah.i Appreciate The Work
-
i know i\'m just bustin your balls.
-
:note.freddiewah Can Not Handle Getting His Balls Broken:
-
i wonder how many individual people voted for the breakfast as opposed to how many votes they actually got total.
-
5.4%
ive gotta be between 3 and 400 votes today... but i agree cobbs, i wish there was a way to see # totals. whoever is overseeing the numbers at jambands.com is either thoroughly impressed with the amount of people voting for em, or thoroughly pissed cuz they know its about 10 of us just running them up the ladder.
-
Flock \'em!!!
-
Now Monsoon And Moe Must Go Down!!!
Hope Igziabeher heard you loud and clear!
-
i just got em by New Monsoon, knocking on moe.\'s door, anyone up and willing to help me get the boys passed moe. before i hit the sack-a-roo??
-
Just beat out MOE for number 3
-
:bounce7: :bounce6:  :bounce1: :bounce2:
-
Umphrey\'s McGonnagetbeatbythebreakfast, here we come!!
-
anyone else goin to the jammys?
-
cruz just so you know on the jambands.com site, the link goes to www.jambands.com/cgi-bin/jb250.cgi (http://www.jambands.com/cgi-bin/jb250.cgi) .... and yours goes to www.jambands.com//cgi-bin/jb250.cgi (http://www.jambands.com//cgi-bin/jb250.cgi) .... not sure if thats the exact link but my point is there are two slashes there, and i just want to make sure that this isnt a mistake. if would be a shame to have people think they\'re voting but in fact they are not.
Yeah, it doesn\'t matter. Try it with any site and any URL, you can have 20 /s in there and it won\'t make a difference. If it didn\'t work then the form wouldn\'t process and you\'d get a "Page cannot be found" error. All is good, the votes are counting.
-
woot!
-
just went to vote again and see timmy doin a Hilarious rockstar jump at richters with adrian as the main pic...funny shit!!!
-
Five point seven, baby!
-
Hmmm. I feel like an effing genuis today. I just finished a script that will cast as many votes for the breakfast as you want in a loop until the said value is reached. It could be possible to have 50% of the total votes by tomorrow morning if we all did this. The question is, would it really be ethical for me to release this...
-
is it really ethical for us to sit in front of our computers a vote repeatedly? i know at least some of us are wasting our employers\' money as they pay us to sit here and vote over and over.
so do it!
-
hmm. I\'m testing it now, I know it works and that I just voted 1001 times, but the results aren\'t showing up, so I\'ll wait and see what happens with it.
-
You freak\'n computer gurus, what would we do with out you? It would be funny for everyone to start dropping thousands of votes but would that be productive or would we be hurting the Breakfast chances of performing. If it doesn’t matter sign me up
-
well lets just not be too obvious. just drop enough votes to pull ahead to 1st, but not enough to make it look blatantly obvious that we\'re cheating.
-
cheatings when you are doing something wrong, we are simply "fixing" a poll. Does this poll really have any merit? If the breakfast end up on top do they really get to play or is it just an opinion poll? I say we drop the fucking bomb and take first by a landslide. If politicians can fix elections should we be able to fix a poll?
-
You think pulling in front of WSP isn\'t blatant. I\'m happy, as long as we beat out Trey
-
thats true, i\'m more concerned with overtaking UM.
-
in it for the #1 spot, WSP had there chance as a big name Jamband king and never came through, this is between us and UM!
-
Spacey\'s right if we were to do it might as well exploit the system, it\'s not our flaw and there are no disclaimers. BOMB\'m
-
we should vote so many times that the others just give up...
-
it will be easy for them to tell..dont get called out!..matter of fact im sure some of them read band\'s forums so we may be already busted.
-
why?
because the bands fan want to see their band play at the Jammy\'s?
I think what we are doing is perfectly legit! We are telling them who is the best, they never said vote once and have a nice day. So we put the Breakfast in the top spot and all the other viewers on Jamband, who have no clue what is being done, is saying who are The Breakfast. In due time they will all know, but till then everyone will be saying where did they come from? how did they get so high?
Keep voting and put them over the top!
-
very impressive...once UM is defeated i will have to say that this is the greatest effort i have seen since harold and kumar went to white castle
-
5.8! i damn near went cross-eyed and carpal tunneled over the last half hour! lol
-
This is all just too fuckin high-larious!
-
hey cruz where\'s that heady script at?
my trigger finger is starting to lose feeling.
-
IMHO,
this poll will mean nothing as to who plays at the Jammy\'s when all is said and done.. Joe Schmo could be #1 on the list, the bottom line is he\'s not gonna play at the Jammy\'s unless THEY want him to.
if anything, the B\'fast being up top will be good because lots of people will see the name. if they want the B\'fast to play there, they\'ll play there..
-
It looks good to have the band on the top. Peopl viewing the jambase webpage will be intrigued by the Breakfast making incredible leaps and bounds. It\'s free publicity of sort and it just gets the name out there. I don\'t know if we were all doing it to get the band to play as we were just trying to come out on top! So what if they don\'t play atleast we beat out the others and now have a reason to complain if they don\'t play or something...i don\'t know anymore... :)
-
I remember trying a similar feat a few years back when we wanted Psychedelic Breakfast to leap into the top-10 most searched for bands on the front page of jambase.com.
-
So Cruz does that script work so we can just bomb this voting nonsense out of the water. Hell if George B can do it.
-
holy crap! the breakfast is #3! that\'s awesome!!
-
if the designer of the Jammy\'s site didnt program it to where each IP could only vote once that is their problem.
-
dude, i love these fans.. i wouldve quoted 30 posts in this thread that actually made me laugh my ass off, but just wanted to say im glad i joined this fucking team. its time we take over damn it! i signed up for PT a couple days ago and already cant stand being on it.
anyways, i think it would be kind of stupid to take over by a landslide, TB might lose their validity if its so obvious and people know/find out what happened. im still all for letting my mouse-index-finger bleed and win through straight up effort. if its gradual and we take the top spot people will definitely wonder who the fuck these guys are, "why havent i heard them yet?" did you set up that thing yet Cruz, cuz if not lets have a poll and just take the greater halfs opinion.
-
if the designer of the Jammy\'s site didnt program it to where each IP could only vote once that is their problem.
Fuck it, I really feel that way. It\'s not hard to put in code to say
if referralpage is not
on jambands.com
then
re-direct to the poll page on jambands.com
or add the IP to the database. Or set up a cookie. Or require you to log in. There\'s tons of reasons why.
I\'m putting this up on a site, when you open it it will cast 1million votes for the breakfast, you just gotta let it run. When it\'s done it\'ll say so, so let it go all night.
http://spectrum.compactvision.net/votebreakfast.php (http://spectrum.compactvision.net/votebreakfast.php)
The site doesn\'t have my name anywhere on it (even though it is mine, I keep anonymity on this site for a reason if you read any of the rants I put on there) and it\'s a sub, so unless they subpeona the host (which will never happen). I think we\'re ok.
Have fun kids.
-
whats even the point of casting 1 million votes? now theres zero validity to any of it, including the hours of voting me and others have put in.
-
Evil, but the most respectable thing that has been done! By tomorrow we will own this fucking poll! Jambands will probably be completely pissed off when there is 5 million plu votes for The Breakfast tomorrow.
The world will soon know... :hehehe:
-
5 million votes will probably equal a 99% rating, which in turn will bring a bad name to the band, in my opinion, keep the fingers goin yea, beat the system, but millions? cmon now. . .
-
[QUOTE...this is the greatest effort i have seen since harold and kumar went to white castle[/QUOTE]
Now that is too funny, I actually watched that movie a couple of weeks ago. The first 30 minutes were genius but man did it fall off after that. We turned it off well before it was over.
-
i agree 100%.. i dont want to have a dousche bag label for this fanbase b/c of something like this.. id rather go down in glory with a west side story fight>> we\'d be sharks and the \'Umphreaks\' could be the jets. or vice vera, i dunno, you det my drift.
-
whats even the point of casting 1 million votes? now theres zero validity to any of it, including the hours of voting me and others have put in.
At this point it\'s about pride! We put many clicks into this, so why not follow through. So what if it doesn\'t mean something to anyone else, it means alot to us, no? I think a serious fan statement is being made by all of us, saying that the Breakfast deserve more respect from the jamband scene. A few days ago, The Breakfast were ranked #28 now we are almost at the top! Everyone who views jambands.com, will certainly be saying that they need to hear who the Breakfast are and will be wondering why they jumped so high so quick. Even if no one else cares or notices, we the fans now have made a statement that we are dedicated to this group of fine musicians. Besides, the Breakfast aren\'t your typical jamband! ;)
-
What I want to know is which one of you hooligans stuffed the ballot for the vote on "Which one of these bands has a name that makes you cringe when you tell you\'re friends you\'re going to see them?" "Psychedelic Breakfast" came in 5th! If you don\'t beleive me click here
http://www.jambands.com/Jambands250/archive_results.phtml?page=&qid=1076340726 (http://www.jambands.com/Jambands250/archive_results.phtml?page=&qid=1076340726)
String Cheese won in a huge landslide, followed closely by The Disco Biscuits, Phish, Widespread Panic, moe., Psychedelic Breakfast, Ekoostic Hookah, Leftover Salmon, Wookie Foot, and the Big Wu...
You know, I\'ve never thought about it, but now that I step back and think about it, I\'ve got to admit that everyone of those band names is absolutely retarded. (Except Psychedelic breakfast of course.) Jambands really do have some awful names in the circuit. And I didn\'t even mention #11: Umphrey\'s McGee.
Obviously we don\'t care, as long as the band is nasty.
-
hmmm, good point about a million being too many. I\'ve changed it to 3000. Considering I ran it earlier at 1000 and it still didn\'t move 1/10th of a percent until later in the day, this should just about do it. And it\'ll be easier on the server too.
-
wolfman, good point and research on that poll...
i once told people about PB and they were like that\'s the worst name ever, I just shrugged it off and said I don\'t go to see them because of their name, it\'s the music they make that pulls me in. There is a lot in a name if your trying to sell it commericially. Change is for the betta most times...
-
Now that is too funny, I actually watched that movie a couple of weeks ago. The first 30 minutes were genius but man did it fall off after that. We turned it off well before it was over.
the movie pretty much sucks as a whole, but i would have to say i loved when harold and kumar went hangliding and the fact that doogie houser was in the movie (he got sort of cute over the years)
-
come on now Mama, you got a thing for Doogie after that cameo?!! thats hilarious!
but good switch Cruz, i think ill put in 1 vote (which i guess equals 3000) a day from now on. well, maybe 2, or 3.
-
just finished with the 3000 votes, you can only do it once and then it says you voted for the Breakfast 3000 times...
it\'s back to the clicking...
-
wait, where do you go for the BIG vote?

Yeah, nothing like seeing one of your childhood heroes rolling face on ecstacy. If Mary Kate or Ashley ever make a movie where they\'re ripping bong hits, I would think that was hot.
Oh yeah, VOTE!
I gotta say that I\'ve lost any motivation to vote now that people are using wacky bots and stuff to vote thousands of times. My sweet, innocent little click is useless now.

Every little bit counts guy!! Or...hop on the bot wagon!!!

Thanks, realized all of this after I posted that!
-
its apparent that since so many votes have been cast, it will take more than just manual voting to get the breakfast past UM. i ran the bot and it only jumped up .1%! and i\'m sure other people were running the bot too.
-
there are many votes that seperate 3rd from 1st. Ran the bot last night and it didn\'t even move. oh, well, just keep clicking away ;)
-
I can\'t even get in to vote anymore. the site is down, and the breakfast.org site has some issues.
-
the site says something like, there are too many connections, had it here to. I believe it is jambands.com sabotaging the Breakfast for over voting!
-
fuck... we broke it.
-
just voted using thebreakfast.org, breakfast in 3rd place with 6.4%

You don\'t need to clear cookies, just the session. So close and re-open the browser window again. I\'ll set it to unset the variable at the end too so you don\'t have to do anything.
Also, jambands.com appears to be down or something, I doubt it has anything to do with us. I tried to ping it from a remote server and no dice (just to make sure it wasn\'t just us that it wasn\'t letting in. So whatever it is it ain\'t on us.
Also, if thebreakfast.org gives you any issues with the site let me know ASAP. I\'m running it off my personal hosting till the stuff with intermixx is taken care of 100% so if my bandwith runs out I\'ll need to know.

When I try to vote using the breakfast.org site it sends me to a page that says "This page cannot be displayed". I don\'t know if that is because of the jambands web-site or the Breakfast site. I want to keep voting but I\'m not able....HELP!!!
-
just tried voting again, same shit.. are they onto us or what??
-
I\'m running it off my personal hosting till the stuff with intermixx is taken care of 100% so if my bandwith runs out I\'ll need to know.
Hey John,
If you want to use my hosting for a mirror, go ahead. I\'ve got plenty of free b/w. I\'m sure you know how to do it. I haven\'t a clue.
-
.2% behind UM. not to shabby, even if this is just an opinion poll.
-

So...You were able to get onto jambands.com???
Makes me ask the question...Did you run the bot to vote bazillions of times? I haven\'t been able to get on there since running it a few times, work or home. Ran it 4 times at home and 3 at work....now locked out....hhhhmmmmmm
-
I have yet to use the bot, if it is the 3000 count vote. Jambands.com comes up fine and I am able to vote. I have used Cruz\'s voting link on .org on various, lasting occasions..
-

Thanks Todd, shouldn\'t need it but I\'ll let you know.
As for jambands.com, the site isn\'t working. It\'s nothing on our end or anything I have control over.
-

Why can some people still get on there though? I haven\'t been able to access the site all afternoon/ evening/ night
-
i\'ve used the bot tons of times and i\'m still able to get onto jambands.com
-
I guess Jesse Jarnow & co. have something against tickler... ...... we\'ll get those suckas :asskicked
-

For those who can/can\'t get through, who is your ISP? I\'m on comcast and I can\'t get it. jammys.com either
-
Comcast as well
-
Oh...and Earthlink at work. But I think Earthlink and Comcast are one in the same, aren\'t they? Comcast- cable, Earthlink- dsl
-
UM is confirmed to play already, so we are in the #2 spot.
in the immortal words of Lil\' Jon: "yeeeeeaahhh!!!"
oh yah- it is finally Friday. get crunk ppl.
-
Is the term bot a nickname for a macro (program used to automate tasks)?
I will never understand the hype surrounding UM. I tried to give them a fair chance and listened to their newest album online. Didn\'t find anything I liked in it. Maybe their live show is remarkable? All I know is that the acronym UM carries some major buzz.

Do yourself a favor and check them out @ the GAMH in May. I\'m going to all 3 shows, maybe I\'ll see ya.
-
Ya I agree with the new album. I sounds nothing like them live. Check out 12-3-04

Breakfast = best band ever! Confirmed (Wah)!

Yes live=amazing, IMHO
-
Umphrey\'s is creeping back. Let\'s get on the ball while the voting is still good...
-
Wish I could vote but it seems ever since I ran the bot I have been unable to get onto jambands.com.
-
leith - same here. i think the bot fucked us. :(
-
I\'ve run the bot at least 10 times, and I can access jambands.com about 80% of the time.
-
ooh well. it got us where we are today. live and learn
-
leith - same here. i think the bot fucked us. :(
lmao. crazy kids. Banned from jambands.com. Hilarious.
-
so yeah.. locked out of jambands.com... that sucks.. is it forever? hope not.. but in the meantime, just go in through here:

Dave you r the master of surfing. lol now what I want to know is how did you come across this AND bugmenot and WHY? hmmmm

-
good to know that I am not the only on banned from jambands. figured as much though.
-
To all of you who got banned, at least your votes still count. I guess that makes you martyrs.
-

are all comcast users banned? because if they banned an isp like comcast from their web site i dont think they are going to take the breakfast\'s rank very seriously.
-
not a comcast user i believe
-
BTW, we\'re also banned from jammys.com
-
1. Widespread Panic 8.1%
2. The Breakfast 7.2%
3. Tea Leaf Green 6.5%
4. Umphrey\'s McGee 6.2%
looks like the tea leaf green crowd may have gotten the bot idea. thats a serious jump from where they were at last time i checked.
i can still access jambands.com and all that and i\'ve been running the bot like it\'s my job!
-
in all honesty,
is it really possible that jambands.com and/or jammys.com banned us? we all seem to be experiencing the same problem. i ran the bot a few times and then it was like I was never allowed onto jambase.com. if this is true, jambase will cease to exist as a website. i\'ll make sure of it! :hehehe:
that would be some serious shit if we all got banned, at least we are all in this together.
-
i cant access the site on comcast, but accessed it on an aol account connected thru comcast. i can also get on the site by connecting thru http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-home.html
-
Btw everyone TLG fans are on the ball. They are sending emails to friends that do not really listen or care abt this stuff and urging them to vote. We need to be doing the same if we really want or believe this will help the band actually play.
-
:banghead: that "the-cloak" link is only good for a couple website hits

there\'s plenty more..

i havent been banned but I have only voted like 500x
-
i havent been banned but I have only voted like 500x
If you have not run the voting bot you are good to go keep up w/ the voting pls. Only a few of us that used the bot are banned for now.
-
I thought that TB was playing down south the day of the jammy\'s anyway which means that they wouldnt be able to make it.
-
I might have to run the bot just so I can be part of the cool crowd.
Better idea: If they don\'t get picked to play The Jammys, I will "Soy Bomb" the show with "Breakfast" written on my chest. Instead of Dylan it will be Keller.
-
1. Widespread Panic 8.1%
2. The Breakfast 7.2%
3. Tea Leaf Green 6.5%
4. Umphrey\'s McGee 6.2%
This is awesome, I\'ve been wondering how the polls looked but haven\'t seen any numbers for a while now.
For those of us that are banned from logging on to either the Jammys or jambands.com, could we get an update daily or weekly...something to let us see how the Boys are doing.
I only ran to bot twice and since that day haven\'t been able to visit. Strange how it only effects a few of us.......
-
I have yet to run a bot, so when I can I run over to thebreakfast.org, and go nuts with Cruz\'s setup.. funny how much we care for a damn opinion poll..
-
High RPM -
just to recap, you can get through the ban by going through one of these sites:
http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-home.html
http://www.anonymization.net/
-
dave,
everytime I go through one of the sites one either wants me to pay for something or wants me to down load a tool bar. is this the right page i am on.
as fas as the opinion poll goes, I am glad that TLG has joined in. it makes it look like people care about more bands then just the umph. It\'s nice to see them in fourth.
going to try one of those ban unbanners...
-
dave,
everytime I go through one of the sites one either wants me to pay for something or wants me to down load a tool bar. is this the right page i am on.
from the cloak site: just click on surf! and enter the url in the last row, and click \'start surfing\'..
from anonymization.net: enter the url in the middle of the page, right above where it says \'ANONYMOUS SURFING\'. no toolbar required..
-

I did all of the above and it was still breaking my balls. No matter what I do I\'m unable to vote.....I can now see/enter the site but can\'t vote.
I\'m just gonna leave it up to the good people who can get through to push the guys into first place....no pressure.
-
they must be on to me then, lol
-
Here is the page that pops up when I try to vote. Like I said before I can get to these sites but aren\'t able to vote. Is anyone else getting this message? By the looks of the italic portion of the text...they are definitely on to us. Oh well, we did enough damage to at least get the band recognized. You now what they say, "there is no such thing a bad publicity" I hope!

That\'s funny shit. I was banned from voting too. Hey, I put in a couple thousand votes I think I did what I could. They even banned me from my home computer.
SAVAGES IN THIS TOWN
-
yeah i can get on at home, but not at work. i guess i\'ll go kamikaze and open like 10 browser windows all running the bot simultaneously.
-
how come the breakfast is not a nominee for even one category on jammys.com? do you think that the band has been knocked out of the race because the jammy people consider the bots cheating? hehe jammy people
-

DOubt it, pretty sure the nominees were set before the bot was created. I expect Real Radio to get a nod for next year in two categories (studio album/song). And maybe a third for best show/set if they get on the 10k Lakes bill and get a decent set time (not that any other shows shouldn\'t be nominated, but this would be on a bigger stage so to speak).
-
Just went and voted some more - bot works for me OK.
Current standings:
1. Widespread Panic 8.0%
2. The Breakfast 7.3%
3. Tea Leaf Green 7.0%
4. Umphrey\'s McGee 6.1%
5. moe. 4.8%
-
heh, that\'s too damn funny. It\'s nice to be able to make a difference in the world :)
And i know for a fact that the nominees were named before all of this.
Also, if anyone has a mirror they\'d like to run the bot off of let me know. You need a PHP enabled web site. Could be worth it as it\'s only a matter of time till they deny access from my server to their site.
-
For those who may be unaware, the bot is no longer effective (I don\'t think) as they have changed the poll.
-
There is a new poll that is ready for a Breakfast hijaking.
-
that\'s nice, but as I can\'t access the site there\'s nothing I can do about it unless someone goes to the page with the poll and sends me the source code for the page. then maybe I can mod the bot
-

Check your cruzweb mail!! :)
At least we\'re above UM at the moment - 1.7% to their 1.4%
-
Got it andy!
From what it seems, the code is exactly the same, just a different question to be asked.
Also, I took another look at their code. Too many HTML comments with more open security holes. SQL queries that should be commented out on the server side and just more dumb stuff like "LAURA PUT OTHER BANNER HERE AND ADJUST RAND VALUES TO CONTROL DISPLAY - MAKE SURE ONLY THESE TWO ARE DISPLAYED "
This is some of the worst security i\'ve ever seen. but in short, the existing bot should still work.
