so, based entirely on the setlists of the last 3 shows, i say jordan stays. too many "last time played [insert ancient date]s" on that setlist for any other option to be legit.
fuck salt

genius !!
:sigh:

It should be noted that Jordan sang See The Light and Doughboy and Tim sang Buquebus.
-
Basically, last night was just out of hand greatness. Could have gone home after set I a VERY happy girl...but then then there was set II and the fabulousness that was the encore.
Set I was every bit as great as it looks on paper. I wasn\'t really expecting STL again, what a treat. When the end a Stash came around I busted out dance moves I wasn\'t even aware I had. Buquebus.. madness, per usual.
Set II was pretty psychedelic, to say the least. Very spacey, experimental at times and I was loving it all. Probably one of the best Metropolis\' I have seen. I thought it was wonderful placement at the end of the set.
I was crazy about the encore. Probably the highlight of my night and a very fitting way to close the show. Consistent with the rest of the night tons of energy, tightness and flat out fun.
xoxo
-
what a set list. what a band. flat out awesome.
lights were hot last night, too.
-
as good as it gets.

Probably one of the best Metropolis\' I have seen. I thought it was wonderful placement at the end of the set.
 that\'s funny, cause I remember Adrian saying it was Jordan\'s first time playing that song & he didn\'t practice it at all!

same with EE4. jordo = baller. such an awesome fuckin weekend.

Jordan, Tim, Adrian and I were talking for like a half hour about the dead on friday and old covers and whatnot. That\'s awesome that they decided to go back to the well so soon!
-
simply one of the best daniel st shows in my opinion. crowd was into it and band had all cylinders going. I know tims been able to play stash for years, but the parts were right on and had the Tim tone/inflections which made it different and great to hear. Not that they would ever do Franklins Tower, thank god, but to follow H>SK with HardLuck made my night.. the jam got nice and tasty. The opening switch into See The Light from Lit made me really listen better because i knew they had some stuff up their sleeved and it wasnt one of those \'lets play the songs Jordan knows, or remembers,\' kind of night. Jordan- great freakin job man.. your key presence is a big part of this music and your natural ear with Tims notes and ideas and whatevers going on is clearly unmatched.
-
i bet you can\'t grab my shirt!

great lights until Lit, when all the house lights went on and the reality that it was over came. Funny enough, only other time i can remember a Lit being interrupted by lights was at the 2nd Freakout in 2000 at the Annex club because some kid bit some dude who worked there.

Best Daniel St. show I\'ve ever seen. Without a doubt. Jordan = Juggernaut. Ellis = Light Master. Show = sublime.

there was a star wars tease at some point in the night aswell
-
Good catch Radical. There definitely was a Star Wars-related tease and I\'m pretty sure it was in Hard Luck. However, it was not the main theme; it was music they play during one of the battle sequences. And despite my painstaking attempts to find the exact name of the theme on the Net (which held up Guitar Hero World Tour proceedings at late night), I was unable to do so. Therefore, I neglected to include. Anyone who knows the name feel free to speak up.
-
the very last part in binary sunset.that theme is also in end credits.

hahaha...don\'t wanna hold up world tour....big no no at casa de pitch. speaking of which, i forgot that happened. i believe legendary status was reached? maybe by someone you know?
-
Indeed, LBoogie earns legendary status in Guitar Hero World Tour by upending none other than Mr. Tim Palmieri in their battle during Filter\'s Hey Man, Nice Shot. Of course, Tim was playing on expert level and LBoogie was on medium. But hey, when you best Tim in anything guitar related (especially on this night), you deserve a plethora of accolades. So LBoogie, the accolades be yours. Here they are. ACCOLADES!!!
Anyway, thanks for clarifying the tease Adrian. I\'ve added it. Review forthcoming.
-
i am a big star wars nerd(or was before 1,2,3), but i dont think it\'s binary sunset, i could be wrong, i just checked itunes to peep some 30 second clips and figure it out
i think it\'s
"Medley: The Death Star / Stormtroopers"
you can check it out on itunes on the new episode 4 soundtrack, about 16 seconds in on the clip, not sure that im right seeing as i had a little booze, but i think this is what i remember him playing
-
any idea when this will be posted?
-
I give up. Maybe it was Brandy (You\'re a Fine Girl).
-
^^ lol
-
Aww, sounds like you all had a stellar night. Great Job!
-
Anyway, in regards to the whole Star Wars tease thing, the tease from Hard Luck on Saturday can also be heard in The Breakfast\'s performance at the Freakout from 10-29-05 as part of a song which is listed in the setlist as \'Binary Sunset\'. So, apparently it is that. I\'ve noted it in this setlist as \'The Hologram/Binary Sunset\' because that\'s how it\'s referred to on the soundtrack that was released in 1997 which presents the entire score from Star Wars Episode IV in chronological order.
Whew. Now finally the world--or in this case the galaxy--can rest at ease.
-
wowzers.

that pitch....is why we love you

that pitch....is why we love you
:that:
I can\'t believe, a: you never figured it out, and b: we\'re still talking about it.
I didn\'t know what to expect from this show for some reason, but I danced from beginning to end, with some pauses to relish in the jams, HLH especially. Jordan, jordan, jordan. Welcome home. Nothing like a bfam extravaganza to end one holiday weekend, just to get ready for some more.
-
that pitch....is why we love you

i didnt think jordan had a moog, but it sounded like a hot moog jam at one point in the night, can\'t wait to hear it again
-
Sounds like one I gotta hear!

I would love Pitch more if he would get his damn priorities straight and not hold up Guitar Hero in order to look up the name of some ridiculous tease. Tease shmeeze, guido please. The only reason that song even has a name is probably because they needed to name it something on the soundtrack, so some stoned record company intern pulled "Binary Sunset" out of his arse. John Williams himself probably just called it "Battle Theme in F# Major" and hates "Binary Sunset" so why should we care what it is named when it is 3:00AM and the greatest video game of all time sits inches away awaiting a pilot. Priorities, Pitchie!!!

thanks for the instructions, knowledge is power, but i\'m pretty lazy about this stuff, soo...

I proclaim this show my favorite of the 24 I\'ve seen this year.
For starters, after the instrumental portion of Lit we have a nice fakeout leading to the album version of See The Light, which had a quality jam much as Psygn did.
Here\'s a somewhat funny story: about three hours before the show Tim asks me "to put on some kick-ass Phish." I obliged, putting on The Live One version of Stash. He then told me with a sly smile, "funny you should put this song on." Obviously, I knew then that Stash was being played and it turned out to be an excellent version as they built it nicely, took it way out there, and then brought it back flawlessly.
But as strong as the first set was, I felt the second set was definitely better. I\'m not a huge Grateful Dead fan, but I truly thought the Help on the Way jam was phenomenal, perhaps the highlight of the show. It started funky, though not generically funky, and then went so far out there that I was actually surprised it made it to Slipknot!, though that probably just shows my Dead ignorance, if anything.
Anyway, Hard Luck jam was absolutely outstanding. Didn\'t waste much time building; just took off and destroyed. And yet another stellar version of Metropolis was preceded by great crowd response upon hearing the opening bass line, which is more than deserved based on the reputation this song has gained.
And as if we needed anymore, Gladys also had a fantastic jam and then the cherry on top was finishing Lit, which solidified the show for me as an absolute classic. And as it turns out, finishing Lit was not planned as the band decided to it based on someone from the crowd yelling "finish Lit!". And that person was none other than Ren, who was standing right next to me.
So in retrospect, whether or not Jordan will ever officially be back, it certainly feels like he\'s back based on the quality of performance and the overall positive feel in the crowd at this show and in Fairfield a few weeks ago. The fact that he didn\'t rehearse and had never once ran Metropolis, which Adrian noted during the show, makes what transpired all the more amazing.
-

Really? He\'ll be very happy to know he was responsible for that. :)

Me and Aruny were also calling for them to finish LIT from the time they went into STL!! I\'m very happy they finished it. I would\'ve felt jipped if it just slipped away!

didnt you tell me during Gladys that you were bumpin some Ol Dirty Bastard earlier in the day? .. leading to some shimmy shimmy yawww during the bridge or \'pre funk part\'
-
Indeed, Shimmy Shimmy Ya was blasting throughout the house on Saturday (per Tim\'s request) and that wound up leading to said tease in said song.
PS - This situation has nothing to do with Right Said Fred
PSS- I\'m too sexy for this thread

sweet!u da man fitz.

This is the best Breakfast show I\'ve heard in a long time. Wish I could have been there that weekend!!
-
THE STORY OF A LIFE TIME. so my name is zack fortier and i have been a huge breakfast fan since 2001 and love every bit of their adventure, but on with the story. the night this show came out on archive i downloaded it and threw it right on to my ipod and went off to this girls house. when i got on to 91 south buquebus came on and i startin jammin hard core and wasn\'t really paying attention to how fast i was going untill i saw blue light in my rear view, so i yelled fuck and pulled over with music still going. when my car finally came to a stop i sadly i hit pause and wait for the cop. when he got up to the window he asked if i knew why i was being pulled over, and i said must have been going a little fast sir. and he looked at me and said a little you were going 116 mph what could possibly make you go that fast, and i told him i had just downloaded a new show by a band called the breakfast, and this where he stoped me and said the breakfast? they are the most incredible band i have ever heard, and he proceeded to tell me that his son was just introduced to them by some kid at his work and thats how he heard them and when i asked him what his son name was i relized that he was the dish bitch at the place i cook at and i was the kid who introduced the breakfast to his son, and when i told him this he just gave me a big smile handed me back my shit and said have a nice day sir. so to conclude my story the breakfast has gotten me out of a huge speeding ticket with out even knowing it THANKS BOYS :) and i will see you on the 26th
P.S this show is fucking phenomenal jordan has to be back to stay he has to.
this event happened on wednesday the 10th of december at 10:30 pm so if anyone was traveling south on 91 around d that time and saw someone being pulled over around springfield that was me :)

I\'ve listened to this show straight through twice finally. ChrisPitch mentioned it but more support is necessary for Help On the Way > Slipknot being disgusting. Tim is out of his fucking mind, band followed more than well. HLH is SICK. Really, whole show is fantastic. Jordan, stay. You are the mesh needed in these crazy bball shorts. Thanks band for making drives feel grrrrrrrreat.
