yep (though that\'s an assumption). i put it on after the stag the other night and made tim play it on the rhodes. he did, but he said matt could probably do it better, and low and behold...

haaaaaa what an absolutely AMAZING evening.
after a full weekend at Jam on the River in Philly, a latenight breakfast set was exactly what i needed.... tickets were $45 which wasn\'t bad, and well worth every penny....
it was clearly at the end of a long weekend... the set was a nonstop voyage through the many depths of this band... lots of really experimental and spacy jams ( i thought we had completely lost matt at some points ), but they were really well-timed, and kept the flow of the set going. but the high points of the set were AWESOME... totally energetic and passionate. the crowd was having an absolute blast....
by the time dawn arrived, the band was still in full force, and the cabin still absolutely raging. loved the bfam representin in the front row.... justin mcdonald on the speaker, and a nice lil bonzo appearance. great times!!! ... and lots of melted faces exiting the cabin at sunrise!
to my cohorts: fantastic evening/morning !!! glad we made the executive decision to catch this one last minute....:)
E: Regulate jam
:?: regulate as in warren g/nate dogg regulate?!!!!
haha, HELL YES. and it was glorious!
-
Aw, elisa. Sounds like a freaking amazing time ;)
Totally heart all of you and wish i made it.
Just spoke to Lauren. It\'s time to get the bandwagon started early for the festival in July...
-
the "?missing, some drum intro?" was sloppy notes in reference to my camcorder at the beginning of gsot where I changed tapes. Only recording of the show. I also missed the first minute or so of the opening jam (packed house, couldn\'t get back to the gear!). Need to listen back to see if it\'s postable, camcorder audio is not the best source sometimes. Band didn\'t *quite* play to sunrise, which was about 5:30 but it was post-twilight and bright as hell when they finished. load out was still going on full force when the sun came out, in all its pulled-pork goodness.
best.monday.morning.ever. Worth every penny. To all of you who didn\'t make it all I have to say is "keep reaching for the cheddar!!"
elisa = jotr>strangecreek, I don\'t know where you pulled the energy from girl, but fantastic job out of you!

 I didn\'t say there would be any surprises in the setlist, just lots of
surprises (in general)... if you were there, I\'m sure there were a few surprises
around this place at 3 am! ;)

did ellis run lights at both?
-
ellis, todd and steviegencs were in the van, so they all went to both shows. There were no lights for the strangefolk show.

it was the "Monsters!" riff, which is in turn the theme from the 1930\'s song "powerhouse"

holy crap! i had no idea you even left.... have you tried to put those pics on facebook? it\'s pretty easy to use. or you can bring your memory card to the nearest Walgreens and have them put the pics onto a CD for you, then post them. I use the kodakgallery.com sometimes for posting and always for developing... they have an application you can download that can edit and upload all your pics. it\'s sweet!
elisa = jotr>strangecreek, I don\'t know where you pulled the energy from girl, but fantastic job out of you!
im still not sure at this point.... to be honest, about 45 minutes into the breakfast set, i started to get reaaaaally tired. i didnt think i was going to make it... but that second wind hit me just in time (or maybe it was the Zazz?)... to be honest, i feel like i\'ve been in a state of delirium since i got to strangecreek... it\'s probably for the best that the show wasn\'t taped, cuz you can certainly here me screaming/singing/who knows what-ing throughout the whole set... yipes.

thank u guys for representing, over exposure to tgsot was my fav.

The pronghorn (Antilocapra americana), also pronghorn antelope or prong buck,[2] is a species of ungulate mammal native to interior western North America. It is the only surviving member of the family Antilocapridae.[3]
The pronghorn\'s closest living relatives are in the giraffe family.

I think thats the best scheme I have ever heard.
Thanks Paul.
-
:fucktard: wow, it didn\'t sound nearly that bad on the camcorder, no idea what happened during the transfer. Kind of wish matt didn\'t post.
-
i listened with head phones and it sounded bad but the music was really good. Not something I am gonna keep in rotation but I am glad I could at least hear it once. The scheme really is amazing.
-
ya it was one of those things that you just had to be there for. priceless!!!
-
thank u paul.musicaly one of my deepest moments.
-
it doesnt even sound as bad as everyone is making it seem. sounds ok to me
-
yea, but you\'re forgetting we\'re all music snobs complaining about things like "16 bit doesn\'t sound nearly as good as 24 bit." that most people don\'t understand let alone care about. ;)
-
ive heard much worse recordings. switching from the winston\'s show to this one was a bit tough, but after about a half minute and few volume clicks down to adjust, its fine. at least there is one at all
scheme is indeed sick. sounds like a TON of waste cases. " what time is it ? is it 4:20 yet? what the hell is going on here ? "
-
"? what the hell is going on here ? "
I have said this so many times.
-
...at least no one was there to ruin the recording like ron\'s last show, i don\'t know what was worse, the talking, the retard yelling, "question of the mind!!!" or the girl who went out of her way to yell all the band members names into the mics at one point...
think of all the shitty phish, dead, zappa and various other garbage recordings we\'ve all had to endure, i couldn\'t go to this because of work, so i\'ll take it.
-
that would be bisby yelling in the mic..
-
Sorry, that probably would have pissed me off too...someone yelling ron\'s name into the mic. One of those drunken things to look back on and regret. Matt\'s enthusiasm had me going. Sorry to everyone who had to listen to that ridiculousness..
-
dude.... the OE from this show is probably the best I have ever heard.... completely spacey and awesome... Tim does some extremely fucked up shit.... has anyone even listened to this? gotta be the best version EVER.

Taping shows in these cabins is EXTREMELY difficult.
First the rooms are never set up very well, the cabins are tiny, there are very few places to get mics up and the crowd is so packed in and generally intoxicated. I have done many recordings in these cabins and I think maybe I have 1 or 2 that i would consider decent. I didn\'t even bother to tape the cabins last year. It is a real pain in the ass. I think the last time we set the mics up and ran cables out the window and ran the rigs from outside.
Definitely not the ideal taping spot. They are nice to have as usually there are quite a few folks who miss the cabin shows or don\'t remember most of it.
