My buddy (actually the guitarist from Prism out of Fort C.) texted me late last night with "The Breakfast is fucking sick. Especially their guitarist and new keyboardist." He\'s tough to please too. When he was in Chicago recently I preached Breakfast to him like I was dishing out StreetWise. I hope he brought friends.
Interesting -- no segues the whole show. This setlist is definitely a lot tastier than the night before.

The Breakfast and 3 Peas were smokin last night. They did alternating sets, the last two pretty much mixed up personnel, sharing instruments and amps. Amazing shreddage of guitar from both bands. Definitely worth hitting Quixotes tonight. My batteries ran out before the 4th set, though, but I got a great recording. Angelo was there and tore down before the 4th set, so that one got away. He stayed for the set, don\'t know why he tore down.

I\'d have to say this show (Hodi\'s, Fort Collins) was the best night of the three. the crowd was big, everybody was completely into the music, and it was one big PARTY! me and my buddy had an awesome time... a little too awesome, we were kinda destroyed for quixotes.
-
assume that all 3 nights ended up being recorded?
-
i was destroyed for quixotes

hahaha.
yes, this dude angelo recorded them. he said he was gonna post them on archive.org

i LOVE straight up Tunage closers...... with the pause at the end...... great way to end a night

Brought some friends, people who probably have never heard of Phish, and would only recongnize the Greatful Dead as a drug group. But they love the show, want recordings (which they will get!), and will be back for more when the boys return in the spring!
The lights from this show were much better than Quixotes, awesome, and it just brought everything to a deeper level of what "the Breakfast" is as their most. They started with a nice etherial jam and right into Eschers. On part 1 i was hoping for a part 2 so the friends would get a great first impression and it arrived (fantastic interplay with Tim and Matt, brought me to hysterics - it was the greatest beginning to the night.
Attraction to Shade was Jazz by Matt, and dark, deep breakfasty stuff, chords, crescendo, raw stuff from the trio. I loved it.
Beef Barley is my girls favorite, and I told her we would see it, and we did (they must be clairvoyant or something!) and it was nothing but swingy and dancy like BB is.
See the Light was the 1st set highlight! Wait for the tapes to surface, and then decide for yourself, and also tell me that I am wrong.
Set two = more of the interplay, more madness with Matt (my first show seeing the guy, I tried to tell him that I was stoked he joined the band, but it came out with many non verbal gestures that he was the shit, that I was in awe, and a bit of laughter - yes, good beer in the house!) I also talked with Tim about Matt, and he mentioned all that jazz he brought, and all the RRRrock that the trio brought to Matt. This is going to be a wild ride!
So, set two, well, I told someone that we were going to have the Jam of a Lifetime when they set into the Scheme (but that happened the next night with Tunage - seriously!)
I talked with a guy who said that the Breakfast was ten, no twenty times better than expected, but the vocals were not there (not as clear as they were the next night), and i told him that when Matt gets comfortable, there will be more harmonies, more tightness, more more more! But he was still blown away.
The Mayfly closer was all guitar licks, trading back and forth, and it was just absurd. Great night boys! See you in the spring! Yaaaaaahhhhhhh.

glad to see you had a good one. i hope to make it out there for the next run
