I realize this will be a more difficult task for some, but how many PB/Breakfast/Diesel Experiment shows have you been to?
I\'ve been to 19 PB/Breakfast shows*^ and 10 Diesel Experiments**
* 09/21/2003 is listed as a PB show on the official site despite only Tim and Adrian being present, so that\'s where it goes here. Also, the Frodo\'s Finger 01/19/2003 gig counts as PB.
** I guess Tim solo acoustic counts as a Diesel Experiment. If not I\'ve been to 3 DXs and 7 Timmy solo gigs.
Onto Maryland and lucky number 20. Happy counting, especially to all of the Butterfield-era alumni.
-
98 shows
-
gimme some time.by tommorow,ill have a good estimate.i know were talkin 375 easy.loser!
-
too many to count.. not as many as freddie though..
-
I have been keeping a list of all the shows after 2001. I\'m trying to remember what shows I say before then.
-
I went through the setlists and I\'ve been to roughly 140 shows give or take a couple shows and that does not include diesel experiments.
-
ry,just think if you didnt fall off the face of the earth 2 years ago how many your have..lol
-
Freddie,
You got me there, but then I probably wouldn\'t be living in NJ or getting married this summer, which I wouldn\'t give up for anything.
Bye the way, I\'ve got a copy of the No Glove, No Love Video if your interested.
-
post it.
-
I tried to put a count together....I would say 50+ for me
-
No can do. For a couple of reasons.
1. I\'m not sure the band would want that.
2. I\'d have to speak with the other people who were involved with the production of the video, two of which I don\'t speak to and I don\'t think Paul does either.
3. Several actresses may not want the video to be all over the place.
4. I\'m not offering this to everyone, the offer was to Freddie, since he took part in the video.
5. I don\'t have the access or tools to transfer from VHS to digital and load onto a computer.
I hope that those are reasons enough.
-
ryan,im totally interested...hmmm,its funny,i was breaking the bands balls and i said im gettin it and making it available for download.suddenly there was quiet in the van and adrian quiet said,"no man, thats really old"....i thought that was hilarious.id nevre do it to them...but,does anybody remember when the plan was to play the video on a screen behind the band at toads???tell you what,if that happened,we wouldnt be talking right now about this band..
-
no one is to post the NGNL video here. period. i have it as well, and there\'s a reason why it\'s never been posted.

Does that mean I can get a copy, I took part in the whiskey drinking in the van prior and after, and Im also that jackass in the back row with the cowboy hat on. . .
-
No. I don\'t know who you are and again this is not an offer to the group. Freddie, PM me with you address.
-
absolutely.im goin right to the groove with it when i get it..63 prospect road,staven,ct.06512!!!lol
-
Ha...I got the video....I bit-torrented it last night....
I love pirate videos ;-)
-
heres the agreement,if pb wins the jammy,we bust out the video....peck is that fair?
-
the video is great for an inside joke, but no one else should see it.
steve, you\'ve been to way more than 50 pb shows.
-
50 that he actually might remember a fraction of i think he meant.....
-
Why not keep to the topic at hand? Also, Try using PM\'s when making private PB associated transactions because Im sure other hardcore PB heads would want to see shit like that video too.....
-
Look everyone, I lied, I don\'t have a copy of the tape. Freddie, I\'m sending you a copy of video of my favorite band, the Allman Brothers!
-
Whatever bro....
-
And bye the way, just because I may have something and I want to offer it to a friend, doesn\'t mean that I have to offer it to everyone. I think that for all of the hours that Frank Zappa and I put in writing the coming up with the concept for the video, shooting it and spending endless hours editing it, I can make a copy and send it to a friend without someone telling me to do it through PM. It\'s not like everyone doesn\'t know that there is a video and that there are several copies of it floating around. Although I might be swayed into discussion if someone were to offer a dvd or vcd copy of The Passion.

I can easily get it, but I\'ll probobly just offer it to freddie....

Fred, not trying to call you out or anything, but come on... 375 shows?? Has the band even played 375 shows?
-
more accurate count as soon as i get a chance.theve probably palyed 12-1500 shows i estimate though.
-
ok,bear with me here..from as close as i can call them, and take into consideration that half the time its hard for me to tell wheter or not i even did something..i used my best judgement and tried to see if i remembered anythign specific about any of the shows and heres what i came up with...also keep in mind this count is minus diesels and timmy exps.99,pretty mellow year with around 43-47..2000,im not sure what iwas thinkin but i totaled somewhere between 112 -117.2001somewhere around 68,2002 ,63 i think,2003,about 40 and 8 in 2004..i come up with just around 340-350 give or take.it also helps when the band actually picks you up and drops you off after shows!!because of no real records of dx and timmys,i wouldnt have a guess..

Freddie, I beleive it. You are a bona-fide groupie.
-
Ive been seeing them since 4/20/02, and I have seen a handful, probably about 5 or 6...not nearly as many as some of you :) Hopefully making it 7 or 8 this weekend...
-
approximately...
1999- 16
2000- 24
2001- 19
2002- 12
2003- 12
2004- 0?
I think that = 83 + a couple misc. stuff
have I really not been to a show since NYE? I have no life these days! (evidence of the math I\'ve just done as well) or maybe my memory is going. must be old age.
:)
-
Freddie that is absurd. 350? Somebody must have a crush on tpalms.
-
ha,good one joc.hey, how many notches under your belt baby??
-
If by that you mean shows, well, I\'m not sure, and I don\'t feel like counting. First saw the band in 99 though, that much I know. Although I don\'t think I started meeting any of you groupies until like 2001, maybe 2000.
Oh, and if you weren\'t talking about my show count... well, bite me!

Sorry. The form is "How __________, the __________." Due to the "my" and the "of this dictum paradigm", you haven\'t complied with the rules of the game.
But you do get a bonus point for saying "dictum"...

What strange directions this thread has gone through. I think rokkit is really Wyclef Jean speaking Kreyole. \'Clef came to speak about the music industry at UMass and I went to see him, but it was part of a big conference of Haitian students from colleges across the northeast so 90% of his speech was in Kreyole. There were 4 white kids (including me) out of 500 in the audience, he made fun of us in English so we knew he was making fun of us, then switched it to Kreyole so he could really lay into us and we wouldn\'t know what he was saying. Afterwards though, I caught him and he mentioned what a huge PB fan he is ;) So I think rokkit is Wyclef Jean.

Have been into the band for approx. 5 years and hit lots of shows between 2000-2002 so I will have to go back into the setlist archive and tally them up. Wolfman and I celebrate our 5 year PB-fanniversary in November!!!!
I\'ll get back to you on that one.

I\'ve been to 28 shows. Who has the record for most shows before turning 21? Sleeper?
-
I don\'t have an exact count, but last time I did I was over 100.... I am probably in the 105-110 range now. I know of at least one dude on the board with at least 3x as many as me!
-
I saw a quite a few shows before turning 21, but Drew you just may have me beat for that one.

Now that I think about it, it might be Aruny. Oh well, I still have 14 months to claim the title.
-
somewhere between 3 and 4hundred breakfast/timmy shows under my belt and a few more to come im sure
-
The WheelHouse on last Sat was # 85 for ole WALSH(I love the 3rd person), yet I am not happy because going into last years NYE show at Toad\'s I was @ 83 you do the math only 2 shows this year and we are half way thru Sept...I am hoping to hit 100 before the year is up. I was on a real good pace in the \'02 and \'03 but I\'m slackin\'.
No comments from the peanut gallery that is 34 more times than I\'ve seen the Biscuits...so there.

While we are on this topic I think that should be a new feature added to this website ala Phantasy Tour where you can keep track of the shows you\'ve been to by date and are planning to go to.

I\'m at 11 or 12 now, don\'t feel like counting. Its been a slow regular pace since May of \'01.

Only 80 for you Steve? It seems like you are at a show every night. I guess the Palmieri side projects push your number well beyond 100.
I think I\'m going to maintain a spreadsheet that tracks all my shows from November \'99 forward.

Stevie\'s probably aproaching 40+ side project shows

I may be out of the running, (having missed only a couple shows in the past year) but I\'d say I\'m at about........... eh....... 130 or so, not to sure I\'d have to do a more definative count

You made me do it:
2001 = 21
2002 = 30
2003 = 18

I know one confirmed show that you were definately at Chris. Got to watch the video from Woodbury Ski Area (Reggae Doozie). Freddie had dubbed that show, "the funniest breakfast show ever", and he was not bullshitting.... From Jordan playing from a lawn chair and busting out into a crazy chair dance durning May Fly, to Timmy, Adrian, and Jordan puffing a bowl on stage in the middle of a jam, to the 4 super rockstar jumps from Timmy, on top of his headbanging and cocksure rock and roll swagger, to Ronnie getting the rockstar swagger sprey stomg down, that was some of the funniest shit i have ever seen........
also seen on this video. Matt Vallo all up in front of the camera blocking all kinds of views. Matt was also joined by Matt Gillhuly(sp?) doing some fine shot blocking as well. Curtis, Chris Mandler, Wah the Fro, Nikki on moped, Jackie Greenberg, and a zygote form Jon Aruny chomping down what looked to be a hand full of boomers....What a great piece of history. Thanks Mark for hooking Wah up with that slice of rock star silliness

34 bitch. :disco: And it shoulda been 35 but three carloads of us from UMass got snubbed in New Hampshire when some stupid kids at Plymouth State booked the band without booking a room on campus. The band ended up driving around town asking bars if they could play for the night, and they ended up playing at some place that wouldn\'t allow us in because we were underage.

no way to tell...
Wah\'s show count, probably pretty close to Timmy\'s show count
-
229 confirmed and counting. Possibly as many as 30 more that I wasn\'t sure about back when I counted. Kinda wish now that I started to keep track of Timmy Tour, GTB and other various side projects.
-
I have went back and really made a concerted effort to count shows that I am 99% sure I was at and have landed at 125 after the Puppet House weekend. I am going with that and counting from there on. There were a few that I think i might have been at but I ruled those out...I wish there was a PT like way to track them;)
-
5 or 6, actually i have no clue, but my first was in aspen colorado at the grottos and my last was at the iron horse in north hampton.

-
prolly about 29, 30 if you count the hartford radio set when they played yem
-
saw them a handfull of times back at the Barn in Enfield and meadows lot during ABB but didn\'t really get into them that much. I\'m gonna start my count at the 5/31/03 show (i went for my friends in the band Raq..dug PB but didn\'t really click yet). 2/27/04 is the show that it clicked for me. Since 5/31/03, it\'s at 20 shows.

16 since March and counting.
Does not include Timmy Tour our other side projects...

my first was july 20th 2001 up here in maine, the total would be 22 shows.
-
Hit my 50th show @ Porters back in Aug........my first being 1/26/01 @ Toads.
-
Probably 40 or so, the first being 7/01 at Tobacco Road.
-
Freddy wah is way cooler than antelope greg. I used to get so much shit from that guy because I would always crash his spot front row hahaha. Freddy never gives me any lip though.
-
somewhere between 40-50 for me, i\'m a lightweight.

(Those are only the confirmed ones...)
Besides, I\'m beating JCobb & he\'s been around just as long as I have! :P
listen, i have the handicap of NOT OWNING A CAR, so if we factor that in there, i\'m probably beating you for energy put into getting to shows. ;)

Should really ask how many shows have you been to outside the state you live in. Thats were well find some roadtrippin fools.(I\'m one of these fools):spin:
P&S get\'s the award for most posts in which a user quotes himself within said post. I\'m not even sure why he\'s quoting himself here.

Cobb add some shows because of that hair too;) There is alot more of you there each time.
-
201. I keep updating the list in an old thread on this topic.
-
WOW....I just went through year-by-year from the setlists page at the breakfast.net and I am at 99 shows. I still give a +/- factor of 5 but for the sake of this thread and The Wheelhouse Tavern show this Thursday I will stick with the 99 and say....
This Thursday in \'Gansett, RI will be my 100th Breakfast show.....
-
Wow, this took me forever to count up from the setlists, but I came up with about 140, with another possible 10 or so because for the life of me I can\'t figure out how many Living Room shows I went to. This made me miss 2000 and 2001 when they used to play soooo many CT shows; Rudy\'s, Donovan\'s Reef, Callahan\'s. And why don\'t they play Blues Cafe anymore???
-
And why don\'t they play Blues Cafe anymore???
Good Question....
I am not sure if the Blues Cafe is even still open...
It may be under new, non heady, management....
Some of the best Breakfast times of my life happened at the ole Blues Cafe...
-
Blues Cafe=Dunzo.

....Hey, Dave- can u create a kind of "show tracker" on this site so each user can track their shows? It would most def work better than the growing pile of sticky notes on my desk!

Do you really need a "show tracker" if you can count your total shows on your fingers and toes?????

Hey Dave, 12-16-98....was there another band there that night as well? Looking back at the setlists, I know my first show was at the Puppet House...but now I\'m questioning myself as to the date. It may have been this date or 4-23-99. Damn my toasted noodle!!!

My most active year was also 2001 (also one of my favorite years when looking back). I think may actually have you beat for my 2000 tally. How come only 11? Did 2000 coincide with your Phish tour?
-
as I recall that was the year that daves van broke down out of state and they left it in a comuter lot while continuing tour, only going back to get it like 2 months later. I joked with dave that he was slacking because he wasn\'t doing the japan dates. :P

yeah - in 1999 and 2000, i did Phish\'s entire summer tours, and also saw a lot of their shows in their other tours in those years. that and the fact that i didn\'t turn 21 til 07/00, and the band was playing mostly bars at the time..

-
i\'d love to hit 300 this year.. but that means i\'d have to hit 50 shows this year.. at this point, i\'m only on pace to see 33..
-
Last night was #251 for me (with the possible -0/ +10-15 error factor). Def do not see myself hitting 300 by years end. Would be reallt cool though.

nice, just what we needed around here...
-
i did a rough count at work today and came up with a number in the 80s range, which doesnt include shows that I think I was/would have been at, but unsure, so I can by no means get an accurate within 10-15 count. Maybe I\'ll just consider Friday\'s Burlington show 100 to give me more of a reason to celebrate this weekend\'s festivities/debachary. . .Or maybe I\'ll wait for June\'s 1000th celebration and can say I have been to 1/10th of the bands gigs, which isnt all that many seeing as my first show was in 99. Guess that little hiatus of mine a couple years ago has somethin to do with the number.

Sooooo................let\'s see \'em!!!
-
i\'m at 53 give or take a few. probably about 20 Timmy Tour shows as well.
-
as my first year of breakfast comes to a close (sept.2 or 3 at moe.down \'05 was my first show) my count is at 21, and i will be at utica pre-moe.down this year
-
^^comes to a close? we still got a couple months left brah, it\'ll be light when they go away for the fall but you\'ll add a couple more on in Nov Dec.
-
The first show back is looking like the FFO.
-
yeah so we\'ve still got FFO I\'d say atleast another 2 or 3 shows in Nov (and that\'s being modest) and ateast another 2 or 3 in Dec, we should have about 6-8 more plausible shows in the area
-
^^comes to a close? we still got a couple months left brah...
his first year. (sept through august)
-
^^ok that makes sense, I didn\'t think of it like that......

I have no idea how many or what shows came before 3/4/2005. That is when I first started counting shows with seriousiness. Prior to 3/4/2005 the shows are scattered throughout the years and rather random since I first walked in to a PB show without any intention.
Daniel Street was my 50th show since 3/4/2005.
-
Just went back and updated the last 12 months. Now at 220
I\'m also coming up on the 25 million notes milestone. I have seen 24,685,965 notes. I have 314,035 notes left. Ordinarily I could expect to see this many notes in 3 good, solid 2-set shows. However, with Jordan no longer in the band it will most likely be mid second-set 5 shows from now when I hit my 25 millionth note.

-
look forward to big things in 2007......

Let\'s hope the representation is fighting hard for festival spots and pairings with well-reknowned acts (Moe in 2006).
-
over 500 and counting..although i\'ve slowed down a bit.. and i count the ones where i stay for a few tunes and then pass out in the van!!

200 +/-5 coming up Wednesday night......
-
I went through a long time ago and figured out the definite shows that I had been at. Thankfully for the last few years I had kept track on my calendars what shows I was at. My show count is a negative of none, but a possible 15-25 more that I may have been at.
-

so apparently i counted wrong... my new expected 50th show is....
FRIDAY APRIL 27TH- BILL\'S BAR, BOSTON, MA
In looking back on all these shows I made a few notes listed here:
2)September 15th, 2005 - Wheel House Tavern; Narragansett, RI
This show inspired my .info name. After my drunken calls for Peaches en Regalia all night (at the time it was pretty much the only song I really knew that the band had played before) they raged into it after a mindblowing Adrian drum solo after the owner of the bar granted them three minutes for an encore. Sweet.
9)March 2nd, 2006 - Stone Church; Newmarket, NH
After first attending a Timmy tour the week before this show, this was the first time I attended a Breakfast show with people I only met through seeing Breakfast shows. I met Steve, Fitz and Elisa (who at the time I only knew as StephenGencs, Chrisf, and PrincessCaspian) and raged the night in a hotel where I first got to know Gavin by him jumping on me in my sleep and yelling "YOUR DRIVING!! YOUR DRIVING!!". Real Dick.
11)April 20th, 2006 - Club Metronome; Burlington, VT
12)April 21st, 2006 - Nectar\'s; Burlington, VT
13)April 22nd, 2006 - Middle East Upstairs; Cambridge, MA
This is my favorite run of shows, with the Middle East show probably still taking the cake to this day as my "Best Show Ever". Unbelievable. Bfam prescence throughout, and I was finally learning peoples real names. The wild first set on 4-20, where Face was still explaining to me what the hell Sundance was. The Fozzie Bear Skin coat. Dead midget hookers. Two new songs. Echidna\'s Arf. "One more set chants" to the tune of "Get the fuck outta here!". Car buffs. Getting ser lost in Boston. This one had it all folks. The reason I love the Breakfast.
17)July 8th, 2006 - Corner Pocket; Orange, CT
Obviously this one was a huge turning point in every person\'s mind involved with the Breakfast. Strangely enough, this was one of the first shows where I really felt like I was in tune to what was goin on. I knew most of the people there, knew all the songs they played. Second set was so many big songs back to back. Huge show to be at.
20)August 12th, 2006 - Daniel Street; Milford, CT
Dipped early from a childhood friend\'s wedding to get to this one. So worth it. Probably the classiest I will ever look at a Breakfast show.
23)September 9th, 2006 - CODA; New York, NY
Easily the most frustrating experience I\'ve ever had getting to and from a show. Organizing when to leave. Getting pizza. Picking up George. Not picking up George. Picking up George again. Buy train tickets. Eat train tickets and drive into the city. Try to get gas on the way home and get wildly lost in some rich shoreline city in CT. God it hurts just thinking about it. Luckily they played Peaches and I didn\'t smother Poophead with a pillow in his sleep.
Thanks for tuning in.
-
nice recap, Peaches. I shed a lil\' tear.

for what its worth spacey
i still dont know your real name

Wow I have no idea how many shows I\'ve seen...I know my first official show was 2-11-2000 and then the next one I remember was 3-17-2000 at the Puppet House but after that, things become a little blurry...someday I\'ll have to count them all up!
-
I think it is pretty much impossible to do.

stone church = 201

fitz - nice job. You\'re probably starting to get close to the peck/wah zone now.

I can\'t believe Fitz is "only" at 201, I would\'ve pegged him for 300 already. If you count Timmy shows as 1/4 of a Breakfast show (or 1/3 of a Breakfast show now) he would have it lol. I think the Pec/Wolf zone is what Fitz is approaching, because according to Wah the Wah zone would be another distinct level higher.
You know who I maintained for a long time had been to the most shows of anyone? Very subtley, I think that title was held by Nikki Esposito from the beginning right up to the start of 2006. Although she\'s gonna lose it soon if she hasn\'t yet.
-
all I know is I\'m not anywhere near 100 yet by my count, which seems weird to me but that\'s what the numbers say. Yea, if you count timmy shows though, fitzy AND gencs could probably add another 100 to their lists.
-
the Narragansett, RI show in late june will make it 20 for me. not too bad for my first 14 months seeing the band but i think i can do better.
-
I\'m still on target for Block Island or Captain Nicks to be the official 300. Though, unofficially, I may have passed that 15-20 shows ago.
-
sounds like how the band counted the 1000th show.
:duck:

Pretty much!

Yeah...I could do that, but there was a time where he was working late at night and Cori and I would go alone...so I\'d have to go through the list myself anyway.
Besides, I\'m sure Brandon\'s list is way off. :D

just thought i\'d give my list an update, since it\'s been a while..

cheating gets you nowhere.
I have zero idea of any shows prior to 2005 when I first started to take a serious count only because I jot down the setlists.
-
cheating got me to prob 150+ shows in the course of a year and a half or so.
-
I counted my total of 1500+ Breakfast shows.
-
Since I\'m new, and not 21 yet--none so far. But I hope that changes when they make another stop to Philly.

Since I\'m new, and not 21 yet--none so far. But I hope that changes when they make another stop to Philly.
Welcome! I hope you get a chance to see em soon. 21+ is a bitch but you can find ways around that shit. Getting there early is key.

Approx. about 87 shows since I started to take an official count on 3/2005. There are shows prior to that but I would be lying if I told you how many there.

That\'s what I\'m saying! I had a good base for years, but then with work I dropped off and all these taints and gypsys and freespirits and whatnot are flying by me. what.the.hell.

i would say yes, they are playing basically all Breakfast tunes

Are all the members of the band on "stage" playing?- check
Are they playing their original music?- check
= Breakfast show, imo

i don\'t think there\'s even any question.

I keep an excel spreadsheet with setlists and stats.
I\'ve attended shows in 5 states, 10 cities and 14 venues.
I\'ve seen 106 different songs.
Songs I\'ve seen 9 times [33%] or greater are Buquebus, Gravity, Honey Butter, Intension, Puppetry, Taboo Or Not Taboot and The Vermont Song.
My longest droughts are Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme and Fairy (26 shows and counting) and Tribal Funk Affliction and Son Of Simpleton (25 shows and counting).
My longest streak was Honey Butter in 6 straight shows in 2006.

After last night I am at 172, with at least 5 or 6 more as far as announced shows that i plan on attending...doesn\'t look like I\'ll hit 2 HUNGE until Spring time next year.

Well shit then. after the weekend of oct. 25th i\'ll be at 9....ha! gotcha beat. Wish i could say something about CO being awesome, ive never been. therefore no experience.
-
it\'s back to square on for me as far as I am concerned. They play the same songs but this is a whole new band and a whole new era. I am gonna reset my thing right now.

I won\'t reset the count but I feel that we both are experiencing the same Breakfast experience. If that makes sense. Every time I go to a show its like seeing a new Breakfast and a new song, something that is not stale.

I keep an excel spreadsheet with setlists and stats.

glaven!
dude i\'ll pay you 15 bucks an hour to do that for me

can anyone give me a top 3 (or 5, or whatever) people that have seen the most breakfast shows? aproximate show numbers? this thread is way too long to search though and find answers

Wait, wasn\'t Antelope Greg the guy who made a name for himself on Phish tour by actually marking off his personal dancing space? I think that was the one.
For some reason a lot of people don\'t like this topic. I dunno, I don\'t really care, doesn\'t bother me. I\'ll throw 6 .info names at you for the hell of it: DavePeck, Stephengencs, me! (not me personally, Chris whose handle is "me!") Frankzappa, FreddieWah, Todd. It\'s hard to say though, especially with guys like Spacey and ChrisF who seem to have not missed a single show over the last few years.
Before Jordan left the band, I had always maintained that his wife Nikki was secretly #1 on the list, but she\'s lost too much ground by now.
-
freddie wah was way out in front for years. I have not even broken 100, so count me out. The sleeper possitions are those who did merch and went on tour working for the band, followed by fitzy for following the west coast tours.
I would say in no specific order your top hitters are
stephen gencs
gavin
chris mandler
spacey
chris fitz
dave peck
freddie wah
-
Yeah Paul, that list looks tight. Can\'t understimate the value of touring...when you put up 125 shows in one year with other non-tour shows under your belt you only have to do that once to rocket-launch yourself into the top ten. I thought you were much higher, I guess you make your presence felt when you\'re there!
The only thing I know for sure is that booztravlr\'s personal stats page is LEGIT. I have seen that thing and let me tell you, it is one of the great pieces of fan work in all of Breakfastonia. The craziest part was the asterisked exceptions for shows that he arrived at late or got kicked out of. If they open with Fiery Ball > See The Light > Gravity, but he didn\'t get there until Gravity, he accounts for that. Eat that ihoz!!!

How could I forget the manager? You and Freddie were probably neck and neck for years.
I was a regular in college but once I moved up to espn and started working all these crazy 4p 4a 8p noon ect, ect shifts with tues/wed or sun/mon as my days off, I really fell off. I\'m pretty sure even robyn has lapped me at this point.
ok, that was just a bad choice of words. I\'m pretty sure she\'s PASSED me by this point. From 02-present pretty much every show I was at I have photos or video from, and I have a pretty strong grasp on my list prior, and when they all add up, the low number is currently 86 with a possible high of 94. Either way, I have not passed 100 yet. Also, I don\'t count side projects, timmy tour, open mics, or diesel expierements.
-
CT people are spoiled. Thats all I have to say.
-

Haha, while I may have arrived to a couple shows late I don\'t think I\'ve been kicked out before. The astericks after the dates are for shows Brittany attended with me.
Brittany is up to 13 shows now. Probably a couple more by new years for her. I saw 25 from FF8 to FF9 which isn\'t bad for a non CT resident. My goal is to break 50 by new years 2008.
-
dave when are you gonna bust out with the .info personal user PT style breakfast stats with the combined ihoz compiler? I know you got the skills.
-
it is feasible, I\'ve heard him mention it before. However, first you have to input all the old shows info and correct them as you go, then do whatever with the script. given the amount of work dave already does around here, whenever he gets to it is more than fast enough for me.
That said, I\'m sure a donation to let him know you appreciate all of this and that you\'d like to see that as an option in the future would probably go a long way.
just my opinion.
-
I donated a while back. If that happens I would def donate again.

at the rate I\'m going it\'d be great to hit show #300 on or around my birthday (2/26)

35)February 2nd, 2007 - Mezzanotte Lounge; Syracuse, NY
36)February 3rd, 2007 - Mezzanotte Lounge; Syracuse, NY
SER Taint presence felt in these two shows, undoubtedly as a result of me and Face not having any money and gypsy-ing our way onto the bands floor for two nights. The first nights 2nd set was written mostly by my suggestion (thanks for listening, Mr. Gencs) and the next night Face pretty much wrote 2 sets out and gave it Tpalms, although it got reworked a bit. Listen to Rufus the first night for "Poophead!" and "Taintville!" substitutions in Adrians "Rufus!" parts.
38)February 17th, 2007 - Stone Church; Newmarket, NH
Sallyalli birthday show, the energy in this place was off the chizzain. Def a top trio show.
46)April 7th, 2007 - The Saint; Asbury Park, NJ
With no money and a plane flight outta Windsor Locks, CT at 6am the next morning, Taintface drove me to the show, bought me a ticket to get in and a hot dog after the show, then drove me straight to the airport so I could fly to South Carolina for a week. One helluva taint, ladies and gents.
47)April 20th, 2007 - Mezzanotte Lounge; Syracuse, NY
From .info setlist:
"# The taints passed out hand bills at set break trying to get Save to speak. Transcript of the hand bill: "RON - NIE - SPEARS!!! RON - NIE - SPEARS!!! Please begin this chant after the conclusion of the 2nd set and before the encore, in an attempt to force bass player, Ron Spears of the Breakfast to engage in some stage banter. Thanks in advance, The Wild Pack". It didn\'t work, but Ron spoke with the bass instead."
53)June 27th, 2007 - Captain Nick\'s; Block Island, RI
54)June 28th, 2007 - Captain Nick\'s; Block Island, RI
55)June 29th, 2007 - Wheel House Tavern; Narragansett, RI
This run rivals the 4-20 run of the previous year. Awesome shows, sweet vibes, my parents first show, fire alarms, The New Shoreham Inn deck, my first return to the Wheel House Tavern since my second show, and a raging Peaches to bring me full circle a year and a half later.
57)August 12th, 2007 - Gathering of the Vibes; Bridgeport, CT
Obviously, the first show with Mr. Oestreicher is a significant turning point, and I am happy to have been there.
63)September 16th, 2007 - Jake\'s; Wallingford, CT
Never heard such a small crowd yell so fuckin loud.
69)October 27th, 2007 - 9th Annual Fonghoulish Freakout; Higher Ground; South Burlington, VT
Too many good things to say about this show, as I\'m sure most people have read in the thread about this show. Immediate top ten show that I\'ve seen, prob top 5. Potentially one of the more important shows for the band in a while. The Gladys Pimp was the first Breakfast song to actually injure me during a show.
Thanks for tuning in, til next time.....
So Sully\'s was number 70 for me, and it was a hell of a show. I don\'t have a spreadsheet. Booztravlr, you wanna teach me how to do that shit?
-
seriously, how long did it take you guys to go back and count all your shows? friends always ask how many shows i\'ve been to, and i honestly don\'t have a clue.
-
Sorry Chip, I don\'t have any special formulas or anything. I started my excel sheet in Fall 2006 and manually add the info in after each show I see. It\'s really easy to update after you get caught up but I can\'t imagine trying to do it for 70 shows all at once. You can check mine out if you want though.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/1e8paf
-
i have the feeling i\'m never gonna go back and count \'em all up. i\'ll just keep saying, "a lot." :)
or "too many to rationally justify."
-
seriously, how long did it take you guys to go back and count all your shows? friends always ask how many shows i\'ve been to, and i honestly don\'t have a clue.
from the beginning i had a pretty good idea, and every ten or so shows i\'d go back and count.... now that i actually have it documented it\'s not too hard to update every once in while
-
seriously, how long did it take you guys to go back and count all your shows? friends always ask how many shows i\'ve been to, and i honestly don\'t have a clue.
some years were easy, like 2004. I was on the road. (merch) so it was easier to count shows I didn\'t go to. Others were a little harder, like 2002 I saw alot of shows but it wasn\'t always easy to remember which ones I def saw. So I\'d say I there\'s a +/- 5. as far as time though prob 10-15 min.
and since Dave added the show count feature to profiles I just keep it updated
-
ahh i just realized i hit 75 at the Stone Church
-
Stone church was my 87th show. Such a great accomplishment, we should rank show numbers like wedding anniversaries, the diamond anniversary, the um, whatever the hell other ones are called. Instead of precious stones though, they should be named after breakfast foods. I\'m officially proclaiming 87 the "Apple cinnamon oatmeal anniversary show". It is a perfectly cromulent name for a show anniversary. I feel my ranking in breakfast lore has been embiggened already.
-
^100 short of homicide OGFZ.
-
I tried counting my shows last night but there were so many shows at zacquor, EC, and mezzanote, beardslee, etc between 2003 and 2006 and I was so schwilly at most of them that I don\'t know which ones I hit and which ones I didn\'t. Then there are the shows I saw at festivals like harvest and vibes pre 2003 and have no idea there but there was a few here and there. Then there is also some other random ones that I couldn\'t find on the set lists page but I know I was at and probably a few in random locations that I am totally forgetting about. I know there was one that I remembered last night at a college that I had totally forgotten about until last night
Anyway there were 51 that I know for a fact I was at so my best guess at a grand total is somewhere between 60 and 80. I think it\'s safe to say I have seen at least 70 now including trio shows even though all of those sucked major balls.
I think that makes me the reigning #1 New York show goer unless phil or spohn (or maybe galenas?)says otherwise.

Back in the day I kept a handwritten list of shows I had attended on the back page of a composition book that was otherwise reserved for poetry. Boy am I glad I did that. Now I just go back and edit this post after every show. (It\'s on page 2 of this thread.) 100% confidence!
-
recount has me at approximately 70.
factor in 24 tDB shows
132 moe. shows
and uncounted amount of Breakfast side projects, and that adds up.
and oh yeah, 8 phish shows. 5 prehiatus, 3 post.
post 4sixtynine too. i\'m really on a tear now.

not even close ;)

-
so what he\'s saying is, he\'s probably lucky if he ranks in the top 10 for new yorkers if you wanna go in and count Buquebus, Mamalakabubadaya, and all the other ones that run circles around him.
-
My bad. I wasn\'t trying to brag. I forgot holly used to live in Westchester and I thought gabe was from mass.
and for the record...ellis show count as a fan = about 5
-
who the freak knows.....................
-
If everything works out as planned, NYE will be #50 for me!
-
looks like I\'m right on track for 92 by years end. How is it possible I\'ve been seeing these guys for 8 years and I have not broken 100 yet?
-
well i\'m at a 98 right now.... probably gonna hit 99 @ the wheelhouse.... then 100? maybe Lion\'s Den if i can find a way into the city.... if not, Middle East for sure!!
can\'t believe its so many shows... i never thought it\'d come to this when I saw standing with like 10 other people at the University of Hartford in the Hawk\'s Nest, watchin some young-lookin dudes play in the corner... lol... what a ride its been!
-

I\'m doing lions if you want to carpool. Right now it\'s really up in the air, might be jocelyn and matt vallo going, both in the air right now. Fitzy is in. Either way there will be at least one vehicle leaving from and returning to the meriden/wallingford local if you want in.
-
FZ, if you end up having an extra spot I would love to hop in.
-
...holy shit the hawk\'s nest....
...after going through everything and taking into account the shows i got to late (worked nights), i come up with like 140 with a +/- of about 5 or so. i don\'t know how some people can remember every detail of every show. if we went as far as we\'ve gone in the past year to see them in the begining, i would add at least 50-60 more...shoulda, coulda, woulda....
-
i don\'t know how some people can remember every detail of every show.
1. when you tape every show you go to for a few years, it\'s easy to go back and look at what tapes you have.
2. don\'t drink or smoke for 98+% of the shows you go to.
-
I keep a scorecard aka set list at about every show I have attended since 3/4/2005.
Did the same for Phish but I believe those set list books are lost to the Gods as are the ticket stubs.

hey does anyone know what is going on with archive iam having probblems accessing the band/show search page

New Years in Utica will by my 29th show since FF8 [2006]. Outside of all you CT folk that\'s probably towards the top of the pack along with DW. I\'m hoping to hit the 50 mark by this time next year.

the Middle East will be 80 for me. i was going to be Toad\'s but last minute choice and the will of Broseph i\'m heading down to the Dirty this weekend.
Hockey game to night>the Saint>flying to DC. having to fly sundays after shows sucks!

You are missing a couple shows in September: Mezzanotte and Jake\'s.
-
I thought Jake\'s being acoustic didn\'t count, but I guess the full band was on, so... wtf? :) Thanks, Memory Bank - you know my life better than I do!
btw, I have all my Mezzanote shows listed... the one in Sept., TKA went with DPeck.

*69. Wheelhouse Tavern, Narragansett, RI (6/29/07) (*fell asleep in

should not even be on the list, you didn\'t see a single note of music.

I\'m not sure what you mean here. You clearly do not have the late Sept show listed. I know you were there because we rode up together in the same TKA mobile. The same night we had to ditch the Econolodge because it was a piece of shit.

E: Whipping Post
ah. ok. nevermind! it\'s great that you\'re calling me out on shows I went do, but don\'t remember, rather than shows I "might" have been at. I just didn\'t remember the Whipping Post encore... but, now that you mention it, I do remember dealing with the moldy, nasty Econolodge room and the ghandi manager who wouldn\'t let us cancel the shithole room! :) How did that turn out on your card, by the way?
no, I didn\'t notice that. I recant. as long as it doesn\'t go toward your final tally.
I was there, though. I was there.

My CONFIRMED list:
You have been audited, your list is not confirmed. I\'d flip through 3 years of setlists 1 more time if I were you. :D

 technically speaking. but you never entered the venue, so I say no you weren\'t really there. you were damn close though. just a block away

how many total, about?
-
ive recently been wondering with princesscaspian and Mamalakabubadaya getting close to 100 shows, who has the top female show count title. approx how many shows? whos close to the top?
-
if all goes according to seahorse, i turn 100 at ronnies last show. dually epic.
-
1 hundge will be at toad\'s place for me - my last ron show :(
-
come to EC holly!!!!!!
-
come to EC holly!!!!!!
unfortunately i have plans in nyc that i made a while ago/already paid for..
going to EC has definitely crossed my mind since the ron announcement, but i can\'t really get out of going to this.
i\'m also flying out of ny a few days later so it would be tough to get back down after utica..
klout - come down to the middle east/toad\'s!!!
-
damn i had to go back and count down all the shows i been to and from the information ive gathered i only seen 42 shows in 7 years starting with my first wonderful 00\' nys harvest fest deal thinking they were the sickest band id seen, and marching up to that last lions den thing knowing they are the sickest band ive seen. its crazy thinking about how different the band is now from that old point.

more shows than posts :)

i suppose the sully\'s show could possibly contend with the middle east show, but i was reeeeeeeeeeeeally drunk at that show, and it ended up being one of the worst nights in my life..
i didn\'t know ME was your 300th! wow. that was probably my favorite show ever, actually. unbelievable emotion that night.

Thanks to ds#\'s, I, too, have compiled a list of my 19 shows, 11 this year and 15 since 09/07. It ain\'t easy being a Breakfast fan in the Midwest. I\'ve put a bunch of miles on the car this year to see the band and would do it again in heartbeat. Thanks to the band and all the wonderful people I have met in the last 5+ years for enriching my life as you have. Wolfman\'s 250th show post says it all. You know who you are. Happy New Year to you all. Hoping to can get out East this year for a run of shows, as it appears that touring is on hold. Block Island, perhaps?

93 after new years
-
My show count is 60... respectable until you realize that my 40th show was Fonghoulish Freakout 7 (10/29/2005). I\'ve definitely been slacking.
-
I think I\'m at at 95. I have to do some research. I feel like ive been chillin in the 80s-90s for ever.
-
Pffffffft, you expect me to come up with an answer to that... I just got home from Daniels St. - Electric Beatles & I\'m in no shape to tally #\'s... it\'s up there! I\'d never be able to come up with a number!! I\'ll just say A BUNCH!

Reading this, Dave, you have impressive stats. Actually, a lot of you shock me with your memories. I seriously can\'t even do that and i have less shows. I look like such a slacker with my meager 15 shows. Though, first show was April 30, 1999 @ Toad\'s Place.

People that worked for the band should not be able to count the shows while employed. You were working, not raging a show.
You\'re probably like 20 shows without yer employment run.
:disco:
-
without employment I\'m at ~100 I think.
But Stevie is always the one that tells me, "you were there count it" but he was an employee too so......
-
There should be an asterisk next to their inflated show counts.
-
One more, because I went Saturday.
-
Westcott will be my 400th show!! (+20-25/-0)
-
i think halloween will be my 300th breakfast show! i need to go to 3 of the next 4 scheduled gigs to make that happen.
-
what\'s the acceptable margin of error on this count? [-]after ten years of not counting, i\'m gonna be a little off.[/-] edit: i forgot i attempted this not too long ago! gonna try to go from there. maybe.
-
lost count after i hit a hundge like a year or somethin ago

70)November 10th, 2007 - Sully\'s; Hartford, CT

-
funny shit, esp the CODA review
-
no clue of a \'real\' count but I think my first was 2001 or 2002. The real truth of the matter is I have not been to a show in forever and should.
-
if I make it to The Iron Horse that\'ll be 4 1/2 shows for me! (1/2 show = Capn\' Nicks)
-
Cool stuff there peaches.
Is there a tape out there of 7-8-06 Corner Pocket?
-
the re-upping of this thread inspired me to do a full song analysis for my shows. one thing that really stood out is the number of covers i\'ve seen them play. something like 120 cover songs (probably none of them more than 5 times) versus 90 originals
-
haha those Mezzanote shows were a good time :)
I\'ve been kind of stalling out lately. Not like I don\'t want to see the band. Was hoping to easily hit 100 by New Years but it\'s looking like this might be tough.
Perhaps if I ever went to NYC (never for a concert in my life.. that city is like some kind of black hole I can never escape from once I\'m there) and wasn\'t such an epic wimp these days?
Should be able to make it though.
Honestly I think Kung-Fu is making it more difficult to reach this arbitrary goal. But, I do enjoy the music as well.
-
lost count after i hit a hundge like a year or somethin ago
I feel like i am close to 40. maybe more but im sure there is no way to find out now.
-
58 shows but only 11 the last 2 years, which is pretty sad.
I\'ve seen them play in 21 cities across 8 states.
83 originals (580 total) and 69 covers (94 total).
Most seen songs are Buquebus (22), See The Light (19), Gladys Pimp (18) and May Fly (18).
Longest droughts were Garcian Fishbowl (44 shows) and Sleeping Beauty (38 shows).
Current open droughts are Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme (58 shows), Fairy (57 shows), HDX (48 shows), Score (48 shows) and Frankly Po Zest (47 shows).
-
First saw them in \'08 at Sullivan Hall in NYC. Didn\'t really know much about the band, but enjoyed the show a lot. Flash forward to 2010 and I fell in love with Kung Fu, before I knew Tim/Adrian.
I\'m a latecomer to the scene/jam in general, but I\'ve really enjoyed it and The Breakfast is easily one of my favorite bands.
