the mooboo\'s was decent, i thought the transition back into it was poor, but who am I to complain, I certainly couldn\'t do it.  The best song of the night by far was psygn!!!  Good to hear D5 also.  To bad it was a weak turnout, I liked that venue alot, and it seemed close to everybody\'s home.  Beef Barley was also good, but nothing like that last Porter\'s version.  See everyone at the freakout!

what a great night!! set one was a great way to kick off the show... hard luck harry was sublime as usual, a couple of dark jams that brought me to the outer edge of the universe.... elizabeth reed was a surprise, and very well executed. but the peak was most certainly psygn... its amazing to see how far along they have come since the first time they played this tune (ie the last time i saw it)... much more full sounding and they are getting more comfortable with each note it seems.... good stuff!

set two: where to start? i enjoyed this set from start to finish... jam>lit>bugs was fantastic! lit and bugs are two songs i always seems to forget about until they start playin them... beef barley was fun with a rockin\' jam as usual, and space city affair > mooboos > good things > mooboos was shaky at times but a great great thing!! its so good to see them taking risks and working their new songs into old ones, merging the classics with the new guys....

every show is progress for this band, and last night is no exception.

as for late night... well... having the family here was the best feeling, it was so awesome to host all you wonderful people !!! thanks for the good times, they will be remembered for many many days to come :D  *muwah*

Good show.  HLH > Fresh Cut was the best segue of the night.  They made it work with a nice elongated descent into a neutral psychedelic pocket that cleverly guised what song was coming next.  My favorite jam of the night was the set II opening jam into Lit.  It\'s funny when you see jam > x in a set because if you haven\'t heard the show, that "jam" could be a 90 second intro riff or a colossal 10 minute mood monster.  Best overall moment of the show was obviously Eppy 2 > Good Things > Eppy 2.

Thanks Elyssa and Carla for the greatest pre-party I\'ve ever been to.  The chili was amazing, though the aftermath was noticable at the show.  And those cookies were great and so were the jams and just chillin all afternoon.  And the afterparty was a a super-fun time too.  It\'s so cool having a "head headquarters" rather than everyone just showing up to the show and leaving when it\'s over.  Thanks again!  See you all soon!

Mooboo\'s > Good Things > Mooboo\'s...my god. I loved it. There is something about those songs together. I would definatly like to hear that combination in future shows.
The whole show was awesome. Thank you soooo much princesscaspian and moebass for having all of us crazy fools over. It was great to see everyone. Big thanks to princesscaspian for letting me sleep on the corner of her bed. :)

well just got in and sat down from: pregame>show>latenight*>drive home^>work%

* w/ 6am off roading in todds 4-runner with todd, dobz, mandler, ellis
^ w/ dropping off Dry Heave Fitzpatrick in wallingford and dobz and ellis in hamden
% w/ getting home at 2pm napping till 5 when i had to be in at 4

Good lord what a night.  Thanks to the heady heady heady princess and moebass for letting the caravan of retards spend pre and post game in the wonderfull woods of willington, ct.  Ser food and just plain fantastic hospitality.

:gasp: dare i say walshy was right? :gasp: Mill Street Brews is a cool ass venue and would make a perfect setting for an NYE show.  The place is roomy and I thought the sound was pretty good, plus unless you are a dumbass and puff right in the hallway, the owners/runners of the venue are pretty laid back....

As for the show....WOW.  I couldn\'t believe what I heard last night.  Hard Luck > Fresh Cut was amazing yet just a sign of what was to come with the jam in Psygn.  I was holding my head in disbelief at the way they were all jamming, so tight and so "nothing i have heard them do before"....

Jam>Lit>Bugs was amazing.  I like Bugs just as a dancing tune that isnt just the breakfast "going off", but last night it was so much more than just a dancing tune....  I dug it more than any other Bugs I have heard.

The Beef Barley jam found me holding my head in disbelief yet again.  I cant believe the new heights they keep taking that goofy ass tribute to....

As for the Ep 2 > Good Things > Ep 2 all I can say is, are you ser?  a perfect match.  Weekapaug, I disagree with you about the transition coming back into Ep 2.  I dont know if it was intentional, but I liked the fact that Timmy seemed to stop playing before going back into Ep 2.....had me feeling all squeegy inside....

It was great to see everyone and meet some new people.  The Wormtown people are really chill.  I like the new venues that we are getting to see this band at..  First Rev Hall and now Mill Street Brews...I cant help but feel that things are moving in a posative direction for this band, and I hope it keeps on going....

I too found myself holding my head in disbelief last night....maybe it was the heady kickdown ;), maybe it was the absolutly disgusting jams they were gettin into, but i am sure of this much there\'s bound to be at least a picture or two of me with both hands holding my head...i caught myself doin it a couple times, but had to control myself cuz i was right upfront probly pissing off all the heads behind me!

Steel rail is very good.  If anybody is looking for other BBC beers to try, they make Cabin Fever which is very good, the lost sailer IPA and Coffee Porter are also excellent beers.  If you like fruity beers, they make a seasonal Rasberry strong ale which people love, i just hate fruity beers.  They are a small brewery but seem to be growing fast.

Some very good jamming at this show. Lots of the jams did not sound like the typical breakfast jam, which was nice. It was quite an experience to say the least. Especially for a show that I wasn\'t even suppose to be at.

The show didn\'t really start for me until Hard Luck Harry. I felt that the first few songs were a soundcheck out sorts. It also looked like something was wrong with TPalms petals the first couple of tunes. HLH was epic. Great to hear ITMOER. Definitely a lot of Ron, which is good, during the first set. And, I got my FBCC, lol.

The start of the 2nd set altered my perception of the entire evening. jam>Lit>Bugs. Bugs although completely goofy song, I enjoy it a lot. Beef Barley has done nothing but become a monster over the summer. Sometimes it scares me to see it come out and expand. MV2>GT>MV2 was the highlight of the 2nd set for me. I am glad that they have a few new tunes to turn to instead of a cover. Good Things and Psygn, welcome to the rotation.

I felt that the band was playing sleeping most of the time. They had eyes shut and were definitely exploring some different dimension.

Thanks to M-C-A jam for the ride. Thanks to moebass and PrincessCaspian for the hospitality. Thanks to Mark for the ride back to my car. Thanks to everyone left standing at 9am. Most of all, Thanks to the Breakfast and the familiy.

Also, trippiest hallway I have ever seen. Wouldn\'t mind NYE there.

Hey all... you guys rock! Your presence at the moebass/caspain abode was definitely an awesome time... although this thread seemed to turn into a "thank-you" session like you guys all just won a grammy:

...I\'d like to thank my Mom and Dad, all my friends, and the fans! I couldn\'t have done it without you! Thank you so much!

The show rocked as far as I can remember. I was too busy chuggin\' stoli and sprite all night. That stuff is toooo good to be double fistin\' at a Breakfast show.

I wish I didn\'t have sleepy heads who are not used to partying late night asleep in my room the minute we got back after the show... I kinda felt like space was limited, but we made the best of it none-the-less. I\'d be honored to host another late night someday in the near future...

Psygn and Good Things are really ser tunes and have a nice long journey ahead of them.

I like the addition to the rotation because, IMO, where they would have put a cover song or a tune that didn\'t fit, they now throw in these tunes. I hope both of these tunes become monsters.
