Title: Ser Tees - SOLD OUT
Post by: ChrisF on April 16, 2005, 10:39:01 am
The price differences per shirt are pretty big depending on how many shirts i order. The problem last time was that i never got around to collecting money because more people were slowly asking for shirts and i wanted to wait until everyone got back to me so i could order as many as possible so the price would be cheaper for everyone. Then by that time the thread died and fell down to the bottom and everyone just forgot about the whole deal or just never paid for them.

To make it work this time i would have to collect $18 per shirt from each person up front before i find out what the final cost is. Because if i collect the money from some people and others back out or never pay for them i would then have to go back and collect more money from the people who already paid. After i get the shirts from the printer everyone will probably get about 6-8 dollars back with them (depending on how many i ended up ordering per size). This will also help out with people who are not from the area, because the extra money can just go toward shipping and i shouldnt have to deal with any problems when it comes to people getting confused about shipping costs,  unless someone from another country wants a XXXL and thats the only shirt in that size that i order.

adult sizes: S, M, L, XL
plus sizes: XXL, XXXL
youth sizes: YS, YM, YL, YXL (i cant guarantee these will look that great because the text will be the same size as on the adult sizes, but sizes YL and up SHOULD be alright.)

You guys dont have to post in this thread telling me you want a shirt. That really wont get us any further than last time. I\'ll take $18 in cash at any time,  Paypal is fine too. To place an order send me an email at sertees@comcast.net (sertees@comcast.net) I need to know what size(s) you will need and the email address you want me to send an invoice to (after signing up at paypal.com if you havent already).

I will put in an order in a couple of weeks and whoever pays by that time is all set. After that its very expensive to have just a couple shirts made at a time. But it can be done if people really want more or if a few people all just wanted a different color that they could agree on.

Is the shirt going to have thebreakfast.info on it? I seem to remember reading that a while ago. I\'d look pretty strange walking around the UK with a shirt without the slightest indication of what it\'s all about. Don\'t forget, most Brits aren\'t as open as you guys about asking someone what the shirt\'s for - been asked a number of times about the band while wearing a breakfast shirt at gigs, but only by non-Brits. After all, much as SER\'s a bit of an in-joke for us, we want to promote the band too.

If there\'s a tbinfo reference, expect an email, chris.

I am starting to send out invoices. Anyone that would like a shirt please let me know the size(s) you want and give me your paypal registered email address as soon as possible.

If you are not giving me cash at the webster please try to paypal before the weekend because i would like to have the money in my checking account as soon as possible. the longer you wait to pay, the longer everyone has to wait to get their ser tees. I can let a couple people pay a little later, but i cant cover everyone

I can actually order from a choice of about 30 different styles of girls shirts. The problem is that every shirt in the order must be the same style and color. i would have to put in a separate order for girls shirts because the design would probably have to be modified to fit a different style properly. if i only ordered a few of one style they would probably cost over $20 apiece and i doubt we would have enough orders to make it down to a cheaper price level.

I can also order polo shirts, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, fleece, jackets, pants, shorts, frisbees, glassware, hats, bags, mousepads, and more.

that would be faster and easier than the alternative, but if i can sell 15-20 girls shirts then its worth doing. Just keep in mind that if 15-20 more girls just got a small it would bring the price of these shirts for everyone because the more i order the cheaper they get. But i dont think we will have much more than 20 orders total for this shirt.

Doh!  I know man... sorry for the delay & thanks for waiting... the problem is that I have my pp acct hooked to an old checking acct that I don\'t use anymore so there is no money in it... for some reason, paying with a credit card does not come up as an option for me... I will go to the bank & deposit money at lunch and should be able to complete the pp transaction this afternoon or tomorrow am... as soon as the deposit goes through.

for those who paypaled with a credit card, how did you get set up for that?

Shit!  In the process of trying to add a credit card to my acct, I must have inadvertantly hit the pay button before I could finish... Chris, according to my acct, I have sent you the $18 payment... unfortunately, there was only $2 in the acct I was pulling from!  I just ran to the bank to put in enough cash to cover it, so hopefully I don\'t get whacked for a NSF charge... damnit!

Anyway, Chris, we should be straight.  If not, let me know.

24 not counting whatever i buy. Most of the paypal money just transferred into my checking account, so i can now put the order in. After i decide how many extras i will order i can figure out how much change everyone is getting back.

The extras will be available at richters and local breakfast shows in a couple weeks, but they will be very limited

24 not counting whatever i buy. Most of the paypal money just transferred into my checking account, so i can now put the order in. After i decide how many extras i will order i can figure out how much change everyone is getting back.

The extras will be available at richters and local breakfast shows in a couple weeks, but they will be very limited

read, brah!

they will be delivered to my house the first week of june. at that point i will do my best to get them out to everyone as quickly as possible. anyone on timmy tour is all set because i can bring them to a show. hopefully i dont have to mail very many out.

if you want i can put your change in tim\'s tip cup, but most people who bought ser tees live around here anyway so i will let everyone do what they want with their change from the ser tees.

They will defintely be at porters if you havent gotten yours by that point. i will also have some extras that may be available that night for anyone that missed out.

Be proud of me...I enlightened about a dozen hardcore Dave Matthews Band fans about TB at his concert in Indy last night. I was only there because I had a cheap ticket. It wasn\'t a huge pile of suck, but it was nothing close to epic either. In any case, we\'ll have a few more new people on the boards in the next couple days.

Yeah, no kidding...the guys standing next to me said that was like their 13th DMB show. When I said my top 2 most epic concert moments were 1) Tube-->Antelope at Phish 6.23.04 (Deer Creek last summer) and 2) Scarlet Begonias at TB 04.29.05, they were pretty impressed. They said they\'d never met a Phish fan that put so much stock in a "small-name" band before, or even had a band besides Phish rival their most epic concert moment. I told them that was the very reason they should speed home and get on archive.org immediately. :)

hah nice...i love telling people about archive.org, best kept secret on the web.  Yea and it seems llike you had some real success with these guys, most of the time when i talk to me dmb fan freinds they refer to TB as "Phish 2" because they didn\'t understand my past obsession or my new obsession with the bfast!

Shirt arrived today - thanks chris. Still can\'t believe something shipped from CT on Thursday can get here today when our so-called first class mail can take that long.

And walsh, when those lot shirts get made, don\'t forget the international contingent; always looking for more breakfast shirts. I now have the pale blue/orangte b\'fast tee, the burgundy arrows tee and the ser shirt, alongside a pb FBC Tour shirt I got from Timmy P. They generally get kept for gigs and I have had some interest as a result.

When I saw TB for the first time, I couldn\'t help it. They just reminded me so much of Phish 15 years ago. I don\'t count that as a bad thing, considering what a huge fan base and huge success they became. I look at other bands (i.e. Umphrey\'s, String Cheese, Ekoostik Hookah), and I just don\'t see them getting much bigger than they already are...however, I think TB will see unstoppable growth if they keep doing what they\'re doing. They may be somewhat comparable to early Phish at this point, but I definitely think they\'ll come into their own soon.

i think musically theyve come into their own.. if they had a little more lively stage presence theyd be unstoppable. i think a lot of folks have a hard time getting totally lost in great music, they need entertainment with their eyes too. then again maybe we should hand out small binoculars at the door so they can focus on the magical land of timmy p\'s fingerwork.

that said, i still think a cartoon caricature of timmy should be in order.

I have a few questions that maybe someone can answer.

1) Does the band practice regularly and often?

2) Do they all write the songs on their own? Do they have writing partners?

I remember reading on a few ocassions that Phish practiced religiousily and learned their songs inside and out. And, obviousily Garcia had Hunter, Trey had Tom.

jUst curious.

To The Best Of My Knowledge....

I would say twice to thrice a week....when not extensively touring.....i know they do/did have practices at Aruny\'s

Quote from: Spacey

1) 2) Do they all write the songs on their own? Do they have writing partners?

For the most part Timmy writes most of their songs....Followed by Save.....Then Animal.....and I am pretty sure that there isn\'t a Sequoia tune out there......

I also know that Justin "Spacebrush" Maturo has had a hand in penning some tunes...I think he wrote all the lyrics to Eschers and contributed to May Fly (along with others?)

again...this is just as far as I know....which isn\'t too far....
