actually they played it on 4/30, so you can listen to it on mike deary\'s audience recording. There is no audience recording from the second night and the soundbaord will not go on archive.org until tim says its ok to put it there.
And if you want a definitive performance of the song check out 2/12/04 - tribeca rock club. That is my favorite recording of this song and my favorite show of 2004 so far. Its highly under rated and everyone should go download it immediately.

Fitzy, I feel wierd correcting you, but the cafe 9 SCHEME is from

whats the best scheme ever recorded??? hit me
-
id say the one thats on the optical dilusion dvd...mix some unnamed substances to timmy and adrian and there you have it..thats back when they were still "psychedelic"breakfast...
-
since the song itself is so great, i base its quality on Saquoia trees solo or the state I happen to be in when its played...love the tune
-
Best one ever recorded...well, we\'ll jsut have to wait a few months for that one and we will have a ser answer
-
Never heard a non-ser version myself.
-
Trust me....February will be a GRAND month ;)

Another gauge for a great Scheme is how hard Tim rips up the 2nd half of the song (usually right after the drum solo).
-
early march??? u gotta be kidding me...
-
In your opinion which show was the best GSOT that you\'ve heard?
-
Personally I enjoy the one from Jam Nation on March 11, 2001. I really like the piano solo before the explosive ending. Maybe because Ive been listening to this one for over 4 years, it holds a special place for me.
-
sadly i\'ve only seen one and that was 3.04.05 toads place.
i like the early schemes. theres a rudy\'s show from 2.24.00 that has a great scheme>fire to open the 2nd set. that version of scheme is the one i learned to play it from.
-
ok, so where does one go about finding pre 2004 shows? That is as far back as I can find on Archive.org.
-
Try the \'Psychedelic Breakfast\' link at LMA for earlier shows.
link to shows (http://www.thebreakfast.info/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=210)

I need to check out that one.
I really like the Scheme from the 3-17-01 show at Tobacco Road. Absolutely ripping guitar in part 2 of the song.
11-17-00 Butterfield has a great Scheme too (along with great performances of Rufus, Stash, Son Of Simpleton, Mayfly, Gladys etc.), though no one taped it other than my friend.

4-20-02 Amherst Green

I have been hoping to add this one to my collection since the day I attended this show. However, I don\'t understand what type of media file the songs are available as archive.org.

You can download MKW ACT from http://www.etree.org. It converts .shn files to wav. If you need help just let me know.

nero offers a plugin that automatically does it for ya

How do I convert it to MP3 from there? I\'m about as technologically illiterate as can be.
I better bulk up on archive.org downloads before I move to the mean streets of Oakland in a couple days (no internet access for at least a week I\'d presume).
-
How do I convert it to MP3 from there?
you dont convert it to mp3. use mkw audio compression toolkit to convert to wave
-
from the information ive gathered, the version im talkin about, tpalms and the animal=freakydeakin on L.....
Pretty sure it was the same shroom punch that I enjoyed that night

tim told me about this one. him and sequoia said it was the most INTENSE grand scheme of all time. all that was said was that " we were definetly on something" for this one.
-
i\'m gonna have to pick up a copy.
-
The best Scheme I have ever heard was played by Timmy solo acoustic at 232 Wooster St....
I think I saw the band play one at a Cafe 9 show back in the day that was pretty ser as well.............
-
Don\'t recall seeing one that wasn\'t ser.
-
How do I convert it to MP3 from there?
You can convert them to MP3 for your own use but dont trade or give out any MP3 versions. Now that I think of it the best tool for you to use is a tool called dBpowerAMP Music Converter (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm) . It is a great converter and very easy to use.
-
The best Scheme I have ever heard was played by Timmy solo acoustic at 232 Wooster St....
I highly doubt that the best Scheme was completed without contributions from Ron, Adrian & Jordan.

sorry but i would have to agree zurflu on that one, however im sure timmys verision was something more seen live than heard on a disc, but then again I could only imagine
-
You must understand Mr. Gencs love of the acoustic guitar. If you understand that, you find a way into his heart.
-
F That the 232 version of Scheme was the BALLS!!! Best Ever. If you heard it you know!
