I: jam > Score, jam > Great Big Fiery Ball In The Sky > Sleeping Beauty, Rufus > Son Of Simpleton
II: Puppetry, Dig, Scarlet Begonias*, Tunage**
* with Phil Salvaggio on guitar.
** with \'Super Mario Bros.\' theme and \'Bathtub Gin\' (Phish) teases; with Drum Solo.
Thanks to Vassillios for the setlist!
-
damn. that looks like a pretty ridiculous show. any word on the crowd size? tapers?
\'Bathtub Gin\' (Phish) teases
hmm.
-
dave, typo in the setlist, you put "fam" which I take it should be "jam"
-
they either didn\'t have a lot of time for the 2nd set or Puppetry Scarlet and Tunage are huge.
-
\'Bathtub Gin\' (Phish) teases
hmm.
Yup.
There was a good crowd for the first set, but a lot of people bailed for the second, which is too bad because, yes, puppetry and scarlet were huge, and tunage was a MONSTER.
Angelo came down to tape, which was cool bc it didnt sound like he was gonna come. I guess he realized he couldnt miss this shit.

Or 4.
-
how pronounced was the gin tease? who was doing it.
-
Quite pronounced... it was at least minute long... the infamous trey guitar lick... and the whole band was right there with tim...
-
and we love To take A bath!
-
I want to hear what Phil added to Scarlet. Finally 2 guitars on that song as it should be!
-
this is just getting even more excited for the weekend

Well, last year at quixotes I called out for Puppetry, and i got it this year, but the Tunage was the highlight, absurd! And the scarlet was more than impressive, not the floating smooth ride like the dead, but just monster power chords, tight, and raw. A new way to see the song, and phil shredded it nice. But nothing stands up to tunage, nothing, wow! My highlight of Friday and Saturday!
Ummmm, who is this Matt guy? Hugely impressed, nice guy, seemed to have ladies all around him. Yes, welcome to the breakfast! And the way he plays with the band, and alone, what absurd music meltdowns will we experience in a year with the new 4 piece arrangement, yahhh. hold on everyone, The Breakfast has turned a corner! And they said it would be less than a year before they return to Colorado, which is good for Coloradans like myself.
Best vibes and party= Ft. Collins
Best sound and music= Denver
But it didn\'t see Thursday... but what I saw and felt and enjoyed was the breakfast with this new keyboard player who as tim said: "He makes me feel like I need to practice" Matt is a fantastic addition to the band. Get into the studio boys, make it happen! Until the next trip to the rockies I will be satisfied by the two nights I enjoyed deeply. Yahhhhh!

nice review. thanks.

^^^ nishe dude
i really need to hear this tunage. bad.
-
ya i talked to tim and he wants to come back out in the spring.
the tunage was ill
-
Tunage is HUGE. Hope these recordings surface soon.
Want a massive Tunage this weekend.
-
the deal with the tape.....
ok so I\'ve posted the previous night shows (boulder & Ft. Collins) to the LMA
I have a 1st set only of Quixote\'s my battery died during the 3peas set inbetween there was another taper there mike he got the second set. I have not talked to this kid since the show.
but I\'ll be working on get this denver show out there.
on a side note all three night were great but the set were my battery died was my favorite. + I\'ll never forget the scarlet. I brought my old deadhead friend who has NO idea about the younger jam scene not to mention never heard of the breakfast so they go into scarlet my friend freaks out a little I\'m wondering "how often do they cover dead tunes"
when it was over Tim said something along the line of " I Hope the pleases some of the vibe of this room" (Quixote\'s is covered in Grateful Dead Related art)
oh yeah the tunage was a off the chain BTW!!!

thanks angelo!!
