coming off a monumental Sully\'s show one week ago that you don\'t think could be topped, they may have very well done it (or at least matched it) here. hot damn! the energy level of this show was through the roof from the get, and never let up. No Regret > Rufus > In The Flesh was one of the best trifectas i\'ve ever witnessed. unreal. great seeing everyone tonight! Jim Cobb - nice to meet ya. had a great time raging with the boys up front all night. definitely left the place soaked. :)
No Regret and Doughboy. Mikey, where were ya? :(
The Call awaits us....

If he didn\'t forget blank media. :duck:
You could tell from the start that this was going to be a sick show. The rec-hall style room is cut from the same cloth as Puppet House and various barns that have hosted killer shows. (Particularly the 10/28/0 Freeze Fest at Thumper\'s in Little Falls, NY.) They really know how to fill these rooms with power. Best Mayfly I can ever remember, and it was only the second song of the show! During Sundance Dave nominated it as the most-underplayed-for-its-nastiness Breakfast song. I agreed and co-nominated Spunk. So they went and played both. No Regret > Rufus > In the Flesh... the most perfect triple shot this side of tic, tac, and toe. Everything in second set was at A-game level, and we finally got a nutty Tribal Funk sandwich, with a killer Spunk and drum solo. The sandwich shop has been closed for a while, but I definitely would like to go back to the days when you could eat your Breakfast sandwich every night. If this show were any more ill it would be in the hospital. If it were any more dope it would be sold on the street for 50 an eighth. Thanks to everyone for being there and raging it up. Yaaaaaaa!
-
That was out of control, best Doughboy I ever remember hearing, the Roadhouse Blues had some sick Higher Ground and The Other One jams, everyone was waiting for that Tribal, and they didn\'t let us down with that one, out of friggen control I tell ya. Oh yeah, and some little thing called No Regret> Rufus> In The Flesh, forgetaboutit......
Great seeing and/or meeting most of yous, see all you ser heads in Providence(where they will play the Best.Score.EVER.)
-
i managed to lose 86% of my voice at the show last night.. if anyone saw it lying around and walked out with it, please let me know. thanks.

Neaarghh! Just have to hope when I finally come over the boys will lay it down again. As for Al and Dave\'s dancing - must\'ve been good to get nominations for MVP!! ;)
-
...it was recorded. wolfman was making reference to a tammany show in 2001 that wasn\'t recorded because *cough*theband*cough* didn\'t bring any blank dats to the show. of course, that tammany show was among the best we\'d ever heard, and never to be heard again.
-
What a night....
Thanks to Terry OBrien for hosting the evening.
No Regret>Rufus>In The Flesh ... Are You Ser?
The Great Big Firey Ball jam was some next level shit......
The Cut Me Some Slack had the best intro I have ever heard for that tune.
What a fucking night..
Gotta rest before work.
Tonight....Timmy Tour continues

Oh I was definitely there. I dropped off your cds with Dave.
How come you weren\'t at the show?
Mike Hulluvahat is the other mystery no-show. We missed his head bopping up front.

I have always wondered why Sundance is such a rarity. I exchanged cds with Paul and made sure that a few of the shows I was receiving had Sundance on it. It debuted in 2000 or 2001 (can\'t remember) and got some play back then but hasn\'t been played very frequently since.
I kept teasing Ron and demanding a Gypsy Girl>Love Lake>Late and the Great.
Was Late and the Great only played at Foungoul 3?
-
Absolutely unreal show last night...That is all I can say. Couldn\'t have been better, well unless I got my No Quarter...The Call!!
-
Last night was great. Got to have major conversations with almost everyone on the forum, saw several hours of shredding Breakfast in an unrestrictive environment that allowed Dave and I to dance like fools, and got to tag along to the Holiday Inn afterparty.
The only sucky part was driving home from CT at 4:15 am and arriving to my house at 7:30am. At least I had Greg along for the ride.
Terry did a great job booking the bands, renting out the hall, buying food (including the monster sandwich of which I had a few monster slices of), and stocking a bar complete with bartenders.
Afterparty in Todd\'s hotel room in Bridgeport was fun. Lots of nonsense there. Walsh rapping for a solid 20 minute straight, the front desk sending spies up to the room to try and check out the party, bunch of drunk monks drinking cheap beer, Sierra Nevada and Guiness, everyone tickling and jumping on a passed out Steve G., and a god damned smokey room from all the cigarettes. My car stinks like smoke from the exposure of my clothing to the cigs.
What time did the Holiday Inn finally shut down the afterparty?? You guys were still going strong when I decided to head home after 4am. Couldn\'t believe that some of you were posting before noon (Steve, Todd, Fred, Greg).
-
I know it was starting to get light out when everyone passed out. I admit now after checking that i lost the bet to Freddie, I was thinking of Nuff Respect by Big Daddy Kane....Eric B. and Rakim was Know the ledge....DAMN. Hotel never sent any more people up to the room so no trouble came out of it. Until I got into the garage and realized Mo and I had no $$$...oops. Very fun night.
-
how were you thinking of a big daddy kane song, but managed to come up w/ kool mo dee?
-
i just cant help myself from bein an asshole thats why i try not to post, so, sorry
-
Thanks for reminding me about Walsh\'s rapfest. Funny shit. All in all great hotel party...no one got hurt (except the given headaches), never got "The Lecture" from security, no fire alarms went off and we were out of there 10 minutes before checkout

Blackie, you do seem like a real shithead, but @ least you spotted a ride for a friend in need, which makes u more honorable than most...
-
we need more of these parties!!!! i\'m jealous of all you folks. the last week+ has looked great (setlists!). who recorded the shows? anyone?
-
Thanks to EVERYONE for making this a night to remember. I don\'t think it gets any better, but we can always try! Absolutely the strongest performance by all four members of the band that I have ever witnessed. GREAT setlist to go with it. Let\'s do it again!! THANK YOU TERRY!!!
-
terry - thanks for making this happen! definitely a fantastic evening!

you should have seen alex like 2 years ago, he was an unnecessary douchebag 24/7, i hated him. then i realized that he was just so fucked up all the time, he didn\'t quite know what was going on. to quote alex himeself, "people would talk shit back, but all i\'d hear was the buzzing in my ears so it didnt matter." so with my frame of reference, alex is a goddamn angel these days. plus he\'s driven me to both shows i\'ve been to, and turned me on to PB to begin with so, well yah... ok i\'ll stop blowing smoke up his ass now.
-
GET A ROOM!!!
-
damn, you beat me to it....walshy,pay up bitch!!!
-
Dear Terry- Please see my official thank you in the old Conn party thread. Want to make sure that you know you are appreciated!!

Looked like you were quite cozy draped all over the baggage.
As they say on here frequently, maybe you should have "gotten a room" at the Holiday Inn.

-
I remember Kristina from some shows and the old yahoo/egroups email list. Stavenite from what I recall.
Where did you dig her up? She has been missing for a long time.

she was in providence for a while, now living in newport.. i believe her last show was a living room show, which i could probably give you the exact date of if i tried hard enough.. she called me last week to tell me she\'d be in town for the weekend, then stopped by on saturday to see the house and catch up. said she was def on for friday..
