Lack of notation otherwise would mean its a new Breakfast song, I imagine... but I certainly wouldn\'t hold it against Dave if he lost his shit at a show like this and made an oversight on the setlist.

Looks like a hell of way to end the two day run in Utica. CMSS bust out, the complete Etcher\'s set, STL, Gladys, Tunage, a new tune (?), Vinnie sit in, WOW!!! Looking forward to hearing this one.
-
seeing the enormity of this set list makes me want to puke right now.
as most of you on this board could relate, the moe>breakfast run basically was my reason for existence for the past few weeks. moe was amazing, both for the music and the company. but then when it came time for the breakfast, my friend (and ride) wasn\'t feeling well enough to stay because she recently had some very serious surgery.
it really was a tough moment for me, when it sunk in that i would have to leave after hearing only a few seconds of the breakfast. it\'s difficult really to explain. essentially it was a no-win situation for me. if i pushed to stay, i would have been screwing over my friend, which i would never do. but leaving was so amazingly painful. in the end, i know leaving was the right thing to do. but man, doing the right thing was incredibly difficult.
needless to say, i missed all you guys and i can\'t wait to listen to these shows and hear your reviews.
thanks to everyone at moe for welcoming my hubby and friends into the scene. they had a blast!
until next time, much love.

NIIIIIICE setlist!! Escher\'s 3 & 4!!!!!

Wow, must have been an amazing couple of days for those who made it do these.
Diana, you definitely did the right thing. Had you stayed, you probably would have felt so guilty that the show wouldn\'t be that enjoyable for you anyhow. Still a bummer though, still a bummer.
-
ok, as with the other show, i will do a full review later. but i have to say this was easily a top 3 show for me, might have even been the best. i felt like a whole new band was on stage...their jamming was completely out of control. insane energy the entire night.
and as klout said, "BGE" (best gladys ever)

This show was a monster, high octane dance party... nearly made me forget the ripping moe. show prior... they brought it!
-
wish i was there Escher\'s Etchings (1-4) sounds sick
-
cut me some SER!
-
the escher\'s 3 boogie woogie dance party section and the gladys were just the highest possible highs. Too ser for words. more later.
nothing like a price is right cheerio counting contest at 6 am to close out a ser upstate run
this weekend definitely rivals the puppet house for best weekend of bfast ever.
I thought they might blow their load and peak too early (I was pretty doozed myself till almost showtime saturday) but they definitely built it all up perfectly and got better and better all weekend and the gladys was just the cap on the pyramid. Massive versions of most every song. Their sound is really evolving and maturing and starting to outgrow these smaller venues imo. Open it up and let it all hang out baby.
Mad mad props and thanks to zee and the band and the bfam.
peaches-got your hat
gabo-got your sandals

Wow, what a weekend. Everyone was owned by the Escher\'s Pt. 3 funk jam. Talk about taking it to another level. Big props to Zee for making this weekend happen.
The Gladys jam had an \'On Our Own\' (Bobby Brown; Ghostbusters 2) tease in it by Matt. It starts around the 16:47 mark (into the song) and goes on for a good 30-40 seconds.

couldn\'t have said it better myself.... the energy, the crowd, the bfam, the absolute wackiness of this weekend.... all i could think was puppet house.
if puppet house was a "page turned" in breakfast history, this weekend certainly started a new chapter for the band.
more reviews later.... sleep now....
-
:wah: Wow. Shoulda been there. Will anything this ser ever happen again? ............................................yes. But shit, I shoulda been there.
That is awesome of Vinnie to come out and play for a good chunk.

funny thing is people I had seen earlier in the week said I looked different on saturday, but I couldn\'t tell.
according to my friend Jeff at work, "Calories in Krispy Kreme glazed Kreme filled = 340 calories per donut. So you would have to eat 49.035294117647058823529411764706 donuts roughly speaking."

thats a lot of donuts

PR.... you looked like you wanted to die on saturday night. i have no idea how you even had the energy to sit up. you are the trooper of the weekend by far!
this show was definitely much more experimental and spaced out than the previous evening\'s show... the guys took it way out there and really just let go, and the product was an absolutely phenomenal show.
the jam> CMSS opener was the first indication of the epicness of the evening. usually this song summons a light, fun, jazzy little jam> but this one was dark and very rocky... when they dropped into CMSS, everyone knew tonight would be special.
Mayfly as usual was a great tune to dance to, really warmed everything up. things got pretty wild during the "ahoy!" section as well :),,,, I REALLY like Metropolis, the jam out of it was amazing, especially for the first time its been played.... that chris is one heck of a songwriter, might i add...
Eschers I and II were both pretty standard for me, but i think this may have been the first time i\'ve seen III and IV.... great dance party and energy from the band on this one!
Second set? forrrrrget about it. somewhere during See The Light the spaceship took off.... not sure where/when it landed but PM me if you find my melted face somewhere.... ;)
The Vinnie sit-in was really awesome, it was so cool to have someone from moe. come sit in and represent for the breakfast. a very cool gesture, and a really fantastic opening to the 2nd set.
But that Gladys Pimp was really the peak of the weekend for me. just tight jamming, dark, experimental... the crowd was in a FRENZYYYY.... i spent most of tunage dancing and trying to figure out what the heck happened during gladys pimp.... but it was a fantastic surprise (since i dont believe it was initially on the setlist?) Cult of personality encore was a very fitting way to end the night. straight up in-your-face rockin\'.... LBoogie was allll over this one, knockin bitches over to get to the stage  ;)
all in all.... what a fantastic weekend. start to finish it was hands down the best breakfast weekend run of my 8 years seeing the band. the bfam presence this weekend was fantastic. such a great group of people with positive energy, there were smiles alllll around this weekend.... thanks to you all for making this weekend the best.
big shoutout to duane for being the most selfless person i\'ve ever come across. lboogie, aruny, pitch - couldn\'t have asked for a better roadtrip crew!!! great chemistry, lets do it again soon :)
thanks to zee for welcoming us into his little kingdom... hes got quite a nice setup up there in utica!

thats a lot of donuts
Dr. Egon Spengler: Well, let\'s say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of psychokinetic energy in the New York area. Based on this morning\'s reading, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.
Winston Zeddemore: That\'s a big Twinkie.

the hour from scotts house until the phone call was some of the funniest shit ever. my sides still hurt.

FLO! The fact that i will always think of that when i look at the navvy is epic. "Pardon me flo!" Where the hell was she when we were dumped onto the wrong interstate?!?! Ah well....Duane....I couldn\'t imagine a road trip without you. Even if only for an hour. Same to Aruny, Pitchie, and Princess. Amazing people, amazing times. What a weekend.

fitzy...i truly wish we had made a different decision. if i had thought for a second that would happen, we would have. i am very sorry!! just to make it up to you, i\'m ordering nothing but cherry pepper pizzas for a month of wednesdays. ;)

in progress! hoping to have them done tonight/tomorrow :)

btw thanks klout for hookin up the ser vibe the second stepping into your room after reaching utica. your chill/headdieness kept me straight, i really appreciate it.
also, i feel than we have gotten a good feel of what metropolis has to bring, as they did a pretty ser jam out of the debut. but, the band has yet to really get a ser feel for IAQ and take it where they want to. i feel IAQ will turn into something extraordinarily large in the bands rep. pretty soon. hope i am right, this song deserves to be a monster !
-
insanely good debuts for both songs and both have amazing potential
and yes we all did a good job of keeping the freak outs to a minimum gabo ;)

duane rousts everybody pretty early to get home for fathers day. duane gets selfish and doesn\'t want to take fitzy to wallingford if someone else is gong that way. we call from the road to see if the lauren/elisa/aruny/pitchy crew is moving. they say that they are leaving in 15 minutes and will scoop chris up at the lee rest stop. we drop him there thinking he might have to wait about an hour.(Big gap of time where i dont know what happened although i suspect it had something to do with pitchy\'s bathroom habits) chris waits for(fill in the gap) hours at the rest stop and duane feels like an ass for not taking him home. (or at least hooking him up with that ride before we left) now i have to bring pepcid complete to every BAR show for a month. (like i don\'t already)
-
wow. thats a good one. duane, you are the man
-
i think the peak of my experience was giving tim the bird mask with a tilted head while jumping up and down during crazy crazy jamming of gladys pimp.
when I have time I\'ll share my experience.
All in all, it was amazing.
